I think this is the best gelato/ice cream shop in Adelaide. They have 48 flavors as the store name…read moresays and it takes forever to decide what I want. My absolute favorite is black sesame. If you like Asian taste in your ice cream, you cannot go wrong with sesame. Lychee is refreshing, and caramel fig and rum raisin are also my favorite as I can taste a little of pick me up (wink wink). My sister's favorite is gorgonzola pear and fig but we were told it is only seasonal as they want to keep their ingredients authentic as possible. The Asian male staff was very helpful and he even mixed flavors for us to try something new and creative! Highly recommended.

It's weird because I always walk past 48 Flavors on Gouger Street when I want icecream...and go…read moreacross the road to Gelatissimo. Not anymore. Not that anything is wrong with Gelatissimo but damn 48 Flavors had me really impressed. Because they have flavours that other icecream places do not have. Actually, for me it's just 3 flavours in particular. Durian, Taro and Black Sesame. With durian, it's probably one of the most divisive foods I can think of. People either absolutely love it or hate it. It has a custard-like texture with a rich creamy quality. However the people who absolutely despise it will point out it's pungent aroma, and pungent it putting it very politely. Basically it smells like rotting fruit mixed with other things. It's considered the Kind of Fruits in SE Asia and it's definitely one of my favourites. I wasn't going to get anything...until I saw the sign saying 'Durian Icecream- Tasting Available.' I think my eyes widened a bit and I immediately went to buy a scoop. I tasted before buying and then changed my mind to 2 scoops!! It's that good. The icecream's flavour 100% matches that of ripe durian, and I was kicking myself that it took me so long to discover it. I'm definitely coming back to try a few more flavours, and to get the durian a few more times. However I may need to sit a bit further away from my friends, because they kept pointing out the smell!

I loved Wendy's as a kid, I used to beg my mum to get me an ice-cream whenever we were out…read moreshopping. My poor, poor mother. Actually Wendy's started off my appreciation for sorbet, their Melon&Lemon sorbet is the greatest. I do have one complaint though, and that is the sudden and extreme lack of the Chocollo option, Chocollo being a chocolate flavoured soft serve. I really wanted a cone of this the other day and the guy said he regretted to inform me but Chocollo had been discontinued. NOOOO. I had a sherbet cone instead. The hotdogs are pretty grand if you're feeling like putting on a few extra inches, although I bit into one once and suddenly there was mustard all over my shirt, thankfully this happened when I was 10 years old so what with the global financial crisis and everything they've probably had to cut back on the amount of mustard per dog. This is a good thing, everything in moderation people. I love you Wendy's, you keep the kids quiet.

I know others who love your hot dogs. I've always been suspicious of how they actually make the 'dog' so I dare not speak of such things. These days I'd have to be feeling in touch with my inner child to attempt to drink a Flake Shake (I don't get why these are easier to drink when you're a kid and half the size). The last time I attempted was about 3 yrs ago, it made me feel old instead of young again (I was worrying about the staggering amount of fat and sugar content in that one huge drink). In a nutshell - she'll love you then bite you in the ass!

My sister and I bought a Groupon for Scroll ice cream. It was our first time trying this place. If…read moreyou walk down York Street (behind Hungry Jack's), it feels like a bit of a shady alleyway lol. The exterior wall of the shop is definitely eye catching, you won't miss it. After entering, the decorations on the walls inside are also fun and colourful. We ordered a nutter butter and a matcha. The wait was a little long (about 10 mins?) because there were 2 or 3 orders before us. The shop provides some games for people to play, but I didn't get a good look at the selection. Both ice cream cups were delicious, but I think we enjoyed the nutter butter more. The flavours are great, and neither were overly sweet. However I think the full price of $9 per cup is a little expensive. I'd still recommend trying it if it's new to you, and the delightful little store is definitely a nice place to hang out!

Been wanting to try these ice cream rolls and finally had the chance. It's interesting to watch…read morethem make it, kinda like an Asian version of cold stone. The ice cream ends up being pretty solid which I didn't expect. The extra cute touches make it a little more personalized. They don't have a ton of flavors just a variation of a few. Cool place for the novelty of it. I'm kinda of a traditional ice cream fanatic and found myself gravitating back to it. Ice creams still good though.

The menu is large and interesting enough with not too many "generic" options except the ones you want such as Chocolate Fondu for 2 or 4. I had a Banana, Peanut Butter, Cookies, Vanilla Custard, Creamy concoction in a jar which was topped with icecream very very delish and beautifully presented. My companions had waffles, ice-cream and a yummy chocolate and berry mousse/pudding. All were very pleased with their orders and there was a lot of "would you mind if I had a fork full?" going on. Coffee and desserts came out all together and our table was cleared in an appropriate amount of time after we had finished our plates. Being a group of 6 is probably a little too large for the small outdoor space on the sidewalk with round tables and various chair heights, but we made it work. The only down side to this spot is that the coffee is "good" not "awesome"

Luckily, a table had just left, with a quick clean of the table - we were seated. Decor - Candles! I love candlelit places at night, the chairs were also quite comfy, some places which have the same modern/sleek vibe to it like this place, have uncomfortable plastic or metal chairs, but we were seated in comfortable cushy bliss for your butt! We ordered - I had the Cherry Ripe Waffle and one of their 'house specialities' the St Louis Hot Chocolate' Waffles: I have to admit I was disappointed in the waffle, this is what pushed it down to 3 stars rather than 4. The waffle was warm, but it tasted like it had been reheated, or simply defrosted and stuck in a microwave. It wasn't crunchy or fresh, the texture was chewy and dry. I chose this dish because it mentioned white chocolate and almonds, it was presented on the plate, but the white chocolate tasted like melted white chocolate buttons from the local supermarket, too sugary and it hard almost hardened when I tried to scoop it up to put on my waffle. The 'French Vanilla Ice Cream' tasted distinctively like Bulla Vanilla ice cream. The cherries, and cherry glaze were delicious though. The Hot chocolate: Average more or less, it was a good hot chocolate, but I've had better in most other places, for a house special, again I was hoping for a bit more, but I might be a little harsh here, as my friend said he absolutely loved it. I'd order it again if I came here, and that is usually a good sign. They had free water available for patrons, in the water was such things as citrus; oranges, lemons, lychee, and strawberry, I thought that was a little fancy. It was a nice touch to the place. If I came here again, I'd avoid the waffles completely, as they were sub-par. But the venue is a nice place, with a positive atmosphere. Why no white hot chocolate? This makes me sad.
