I have never seen anyone more rude by some guy that was behind the counter. He is grumpy and mean to every customer that walked in including a little girl that was excited to go fishing with her dad. No hello no how can I help you his head was in his phone having a bad day. We get it. You hate the tourists but we were nothing but polite. Good place they have live bait usually but limited stock i've live bait so if you want my baby you better get there early. They also sell lobster and shrimp nets and have a good stock of it as well and variety. You can get your fishing licenses and a bunch of different fishing gear. But as with most fishing and bait stores arrive early to go good fresh bait. Nice staff read more

Service is so good I bought a rod in there in it works so well and the frozen Shrimp is awesome they have all you need!

Bought a nice rod from these guys, the staff, mainly pirate was helpful but after bringing the rod back in after not even so much as using it once the guy behind the counter called his boss who said they will not refund me. This rod doesn't even so much as have one tag taken off it, new in the packaging but bottom line they will not refund it. Plenty of other bait stores to choose from in the area who are more understanding and provide better service and will more than likely refund new merchandise 2 days after purchase. No signage saying all sales are final displayed anywhere that I could see. read more

I speak Spanish, English & Portuguese and I couldn't understand the guy on either language but if something I understood is that he was Super Rude and The woman there didn't even acknowledge me as a costumer. It was so unpleasant to even get inside the store. Im a local and I support Locals but I will never get inside this store and wouldn't recommend you to go! read more

Had the bait my son wanted. We mostly wanted a fishing license, the signage said they did. Was informed their machine was not working as not sure if when it would be. Had to wait until KMart opened to get it there. Employees did not seem to be concerned that although signage said they had them, they did not. Of no help at all. read more

Hell yeah honey, when you get great lobster at great prices from this place we will eat it as much as we possibly can, and on our Key Largo vacation that was a lot. This is a great fish market - not a fishing shack selling worms and crickets. A massive selection of well priced fish- including some hard to find and names- Icannot remember. Guy sold us one fish and told us no-body ever eats it - and it was awesome. a few lobster tails ( or whole lobsters) from here, throw them on the grill, add a nice bottle of whie wine, a perfect holiday moment. read more

When I am getting ready to go fishing this is my first stop. It is a classic bait shop. Live and frozen bait of all kinds. Any and every kind of tackle you might need, and the twist is that they also have a fish market. A fresh reasonable priced fish market. Worth a stop to checkout even if you don't fish. read more

Stone crabs eat pigs feet. Can you say WTF? I didn't know that either. Actually, I didn't know much about catching Stone Crab before I called them up except that I was allowed 5 traps with a valid fishing license. The helpful young man explained the different traps they sell, from do it yourself to ready to drop. He explained about the pigs feet and yes, they do sell it. We always go here for our normal bait needs as well. Tackle supplies. Even a small fresh fish market. They do it all and have friendly service too. Simply perfect. read more

Have gone here for bait several times and have been disappointed with the frozen shrimp. I switched to live shrimp and they are much better. When I asked a few questions, the girl behind the counter couldn't be bothered, she was too involved in a conversation with two young men that walked in after me. Overall, the entire staff is rude and impatient. The only time they spoke english is when they told you how much you owe them for your bait. Not sure if I can find another bait store nearby, but I'm looking. People with attitudes like this should not be in business. If you don't like people, don't be in the service industry!!! read more

My favorite place to go to get live shrimp bait. The price is good and the shrimp are always fresh if you go early. Also, the people here are really nice. I remember even when I was a little kid, just got my boating license, and it was my first time going out fishing on my own and they showed me a few new places on the map they thought would be easy for me to anchor on my own and isn't too busy. I thought that was really sweet of them because as we all know its rare for people to share their fishing spots, especially to other locals/seasonal residents. Thats how you know for sure that the staff are very friendly people. read more

I am a local, regular customer of this place, and I have to say that I can not understand the negative reviews. I have been buying my stone crab claws in season since they opened two years or so ago, and have always been completely satisfied with them, and the price is always much lower than anywhere else. They have their own boats, I think. Staff changes frequently, and some employees have been better than others, but that is a common problem in the Keys..This place is the best bait and tackle in the upper keys, and in my opinion, the best fish market as well.. they have never let me down, and I shop there a lot!
