I booked last minute. It had been 5-6mknths since I had a relaxer, pre COVID and I felt so bad for having to go in with all that new growth. But I left looking AHmazing! I will share my experience with as much detail as I would want to know. Nikki is hands down amazing! When I walked I'm the door her chair is the first one and she greeted me with warmth and a huge smile before she even knew I was her client. I am not the greatest with my hair and I was scared and embarrassed to show her, but when I did she said no problem I got you. she took me back to her bowl and started washing my hair and massaging my scalp it felt and smelled really good. She also uses a steamer while washing your hair to replenish moisture. After she was done she set my hair and put me under the dryer. She clipped my damaged ends and flat ironed me to perfection. My hair was bouncy, shiny, runway ready! Niki is funny,very sweet and personable. I highly recommend! The salon is on a busy street and parking can be challenging so get there a bit early, it's worth it.The atmosphere has a young vibe, loud hip hop music which really isn't me but nothing my headphones couldn't cure. Where ever D'Juan goes, I follow! For 3 years now, he continues to give me great, funky, cute, stylish cuts, colors, and looks without damaging my hair. He's been doing an amazing job keeping things nice while growing out my Halley Berry/Rihanna short haircut, and it's grown out so much! Definitely a stylist you need to request and see. The Wright Salon is very classy, professional, and clean. At the same time, I did NOT get a stuffy bougie vibe either. Just cool and welcoming. I came in on a Friday evening and it wasn't very busy at all. I saw a flat screen mounted on the wall, but it wasn't on. The other stylists looked to be doing a good job on their clients also. I got a parking spot right in front on La Cienega (free meters after 6pm!), but I'm not sure about parking before or if there is a lot or anything. Overall, I like D'Juan and I liked the salon, so I'll keep coming back! read more
