I needed to have my estate plan completely updated. I wanted to work with a progressive law firm…read morewhose values reflected my own. After months of spinning my wheels looking for a law firm in the Dallas area, and there seemed to be hundreds, one of my professional friends suggested Burch Law. I googled Burch Law and saw that its advertising wasn't the usual cookie cutter advertising that most firms use. It was colorful and inviting. Burch Law stood out from the rest of the pack ... with it's flying red horse logo and great video clips from Lorie Burch explaining what her firm offered without using a lot of legal mumbo jumbo. I called and made an appointment. Since I live near the Burch Law offices I called and made an in-person appointment. I met Melyssa and she explained how the Burch Law team would work with me to create a personalized estate plan. She was great! No pressure, just the information I needed to make an informed decision. Having Burch Law draw up my estate plan was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. I am very impressed by their attention to detail; I had a team with whom to work. A great lawyer, Struti, a great case manager, Sam, and of course Melyssa who I first met. I felt very supported throughout the process. Another thing that really impressed me was when I'd message a question that it was promptly answered. Burch Law continues its support even after the papers have been signed and notarized. It's a wonderful feeling knowing my estate is fully protected and that I have a team to call with any future questions and/or needs. BTW I wholeheartedly recommend Burch Law for your legal needs.

This was the best choice we ever made, and we looked no further. Our case was defended by Ryan King, who is truly a personal counsel who meticulously cares about your case. He worked tirelessly and combed through everything. He can literally find a needle in a haystack--which is exactly what he did for my son's case. My family and I are truly and deeply grateful for Mr. King's honest counsel and representation. We were earnestly praying for the best outcome, and Mr. King delivered a NOT GUILTY verdict! We are so thankful for his outstanding counsel. THANK YOU!!!

Please consider other options before going with this one. we…read morereached out due to a CPS report which would have gotten settled without a lawyer however due to the accusations we wanted a legal professional opinion just to be safe. First they state a free consultation in which we found is the only way that is true is if you have actually been arrested otherwise you pay so we had to pay 500.00 to the criminal lawyer whose name is Reynie Tinajero ( in which he was very friendly ) But his information we pretty much already knew because again we knew we were only there so we could be educated on our legal rights . Fast forward to the end of the consultation he suggested we consult to the CPS attorney which name is Alyce Ferguson for a 30 minute consultation will cost us 250.00 and it's not even a in person consultation it was an over the phone consultation so she states from point A to point B it will be cleared up for 1,500 because her fee is 500.00 a hour so instead of us paying as we go she says it has to be paid all at once . So again, we pay it this was all done in 1 day which was on a Monday June 2.2025 to be exact so by this point within 1 hour and 30 minutes we have offically paid 2,250 that was not expected at all. Tuesday June 3rd, we agree to meet this is where it takes a turn for the worse she is 10 minutes late she stays maybe 40 minutes and leaves as she is leaving CPS calls, and we agree to meet on Friday June 7 she states we will touch base Wednesday, we exchange text that morning and that's all Thursday morning a few more text at this point I tell her i need to actually speak with you because you were hired to give me peace of mind and you have me feeling as if I am a criminal so she states she's in court all day so that's fine just when you are available so she calls 20 minutes later and all is well Friday comes she shows up at 1:00 our meeting is 1:30 with CPS so that's great but we literally are just sitting here while she is on the phone with another client apologizing to them about something and using words like prison and so on that we do not even use in front of our children (totally unprofessional) while she's stating she has another appointment to get to so CPS comes all is well 15 minutes later during the visit she gets up and states she has to get to her next appointment so can we call her and have it on speaker so sure of course well little did we know while on speaker the phone hangs up. At this point although our meeting is going well i didn't want to make the wrong move so i call her back-to-back and get nothing but a voicemail and a text 2 minutes later saying i will touch base all is well and thats it now of course the sweet CPS lady gave us all the good news we needed but this lawyer failed us even though we knew it was going to be a closed case she made us more nervous like how things can get twisted and all the above. I usually would not leave a review like this however in this case its necessary because CPS can be serious and be scary but what if a family is less fortunate and actually don't have the money to pay or have to borrow or etc. All I'm saying is do your research first please. although each individual was very nice this just was not right, we are still out of 500.00 because she literally never spent more than a total 2 hours with us. And last but not least we did actually hear back from her saying she was in a car accident that's why the call failed smh God Bless you all and i hope this helps you if you are ever in this situation

My brother was killed by police and we hired Palmer Perlstein in high confidence to represent us but James & Rachel did absolutely nothing. Communication was absent and abhorrent. They would take 39 days to respond and when we got updates, it was for files they already had. James would say they'll do something and they never would. Before we could Fire them they dropped our case and their excuse was they're too busy. Nearly 8+ mos of being left in the dark and making no progress. Truly, I wish our experience was different but it was simply awful. Spare your family the headache working with this firm. The quality, value and service were unfortunately just terrible.

I felt as if he sized me up in the consultation and decided I didn't look like a bank but didn't have the balls to tell me "no" after making me pay $750 for less than an hour of his time. I am terribly disappointed, I truly thought that I had found a rational conservative that could go to bat for me against all these inept Dallas County Family Court Judges. Mr. Wysocki's wife is a conservative judge appointed by Governor Abbott, I'm not sure why, but that somehow gave me hope that I would be seen and heard for once. But no dice! Strongly consider other options…read more I was not represented by one of the named partners, but my experience with Philips & Epperson was defined by a lack of empathy, underwhelming trial results, and an aggressive focus on fee collection--even while there was an active, legitimate billing dispute. In one email (with the partner handling my case copied), a firm representative compared the disputed legal fees to "buying groceries." To my knowledge, that conduct was neither cautioned nor corrected. I found the message unprofessional, dismissive, and lacking emotional intelligence--especially in an expensive family-law matter, where I was already under significant stress.
