My experience with Barbieri Law Firm was deeply disappointing and, frankly, infuriating. While…read moretheir intake process is polished and designed to impress, it quickly became clear that this firm is far more focused on maximizing billing than on delivering meaningful legal results. At the beginning, they present themselves well. The initial contact was friendly, empathetic, and persistent with follow-up calls and texts. Looking back, this felt less like genuine concern and more like a well-rehearsed sales tactic. Once you sign on, the tone and priorities change. I was charged what I believe to be an excessive amount for my case. After the initial work was done we were just waiting for a court date and I was billed repeatedly for "weekly case reviews," internal discussions, and routine emails to the court asking whether a date had been set. These reviews went on for months despite the fact that there was virtually nothing to review. When I objected to the nonstop billing for redundant work, I was met with zero empathy and given the same canned response: this is how we work cases. Only when I threatened to fire them did they suddenly find a way to "scale things back." That restraint lasted about six weeks before the billing machine ramped right back up. After seven months of paying thousands of dollars with absolutely nothing to show for it, I finally terminated their services. Even then, they charged me an additional $1,800 just to close the file--despite the case going nowhere and still having no court date. If you have unlimited funds and don't mind paying for busywork, this may be the firm for you. Otherwise, consider this a warning. I am not alone in this experience, and I strongly urge anyone considering this firm to look elsewhere and not be fooled by the polished front they put on.

Get used to waiting on him and getting no responses at all if you make the horrendous decision of hiring him. Does not fight for you and is only looking to extort you for your funds while doing no work for you. Huge waste of money. Many times my case was pointlessly reset for his own personal reasons, whether that's leaving you in the courtroom so he can go to his son's band concert, or go practice some martial arts. It is actually a joke the "services" this lawyer will provide. While you are facing the hardest time in your life in the court room he will not explain the process and instead tell you "he has to speed this up so he can make it to a personal event". His clients are not his priority. Getting paid is. If it is your first time in the criminal justice system like it was for me, stay far away from this man. He will look at you as just another statistic. I'm sure he'll take this review down soon instead of replying to it, as he knows I'm not lying and he would like to continue making money while doing little to no work. He is exactly the lawyer that perpetuates the archetype of the selfish lawyer.
