Sam, the onsite manager(?) is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I like the idea of a heated pool and the social functions.

I have been a resident of Brookside Retirement Residence for almost three years months. W must say…read moreI am very glad to part of this facility. It is my home and I love it here for many reasons First I would say the staff here are very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to see to our every need. The residence is very clean. It is spacious with a library, game room and a laundry facility to wash your clothes. Once a week my room is cleaned and new linens and towels supplied The maintenance men are very attentive and immediately fix any problems The food here is excellent and the menu is varied. Everything is delicious and healthy. I am diabetic and the kitchen staff bends over backwards to help me with my diet providing sugar free alternatives. You can get as much food as you want and even take leftovers to your room There are many activities, a well equipped exercise room, a library with a wide variety of novels and reference books to borrow My entire family can visit me here. They can attend special events and dinners. I would highly recommend Brookside if you are looking for yourself or a loved one.

Unfortunately she fell recently and is recovering in the hospital but she mentions missing her pals and home almost daily. The staff goes all out to make their residents have a good time. Theres always something going on at Brookside. I was just there visiting (I am from Hawaii) this past Thanksgiving and there was a talented musician playing in the dining area. My Mom acted like she would rather be in there with her friends and neighbors than coming with me to our family gathering! hahaha. Below is my mom, sister and BIL at their recent Hawaiian Luau night. FUN. Is it contemporary modern with posh upscale finishings? No it is not. Does mom care? She could give a rip. Do we care? NOT ONE BIT. The price is right and the community there is EVERYTHING!! Thank you Brookside staff for all you do! And big mahalo for hanging some of my moms large art pieces in your common areas! Makes her really feel at HOME.

This place is off the charts amazing! I only have one experience with this type of place and that…read morewas with London house in the 1980s when my grandfather was there and the only thing I remember was that the whole place smaller like urine! Disgusting! Sunrise Villa is NOTHING like that though! This is a fancy pants place! When you walk in you are blanketed by the amazing smells of the delicious food from the kitchen, and the dining room has chandeliers, cloth napkins, crystal glasses, and table service with huge menus for every meal! It's literally like a fancy restaurant for every meal for the residents! That cannot be beat! The entire place is immaculate, with no dirt or bad smells anywhere that we can detect, and that's a huge plus. Just the idea of assisted living usually conjures up negative things but Sunrise Villa creates a whole different experience, a wonderful one. My folks have only been there for one month, having come from a beautiful hilltop home on sonoma Mountain, and they are both already saying they are happy there. There are tons of amazing activities scheduled all day long, and their amazing two bedroom apartment gives them a living room, a bedroom, and an extra bedroom for my father's computer and office. On top of all that, Grace, who helped us through every step, is the most kind, loving, understanding, and patient person to help your family through this difficult time. She is amazing! Thank you Grace! Sunrise Villa is not cheap however, and you'll need plenty of money in order to stay there, but it's definitely worth it, and they have created an assisted living facility that takes the sting out of the painful family process that leads to the need for it. I recommend it highly, if you can afford it.

My mother was not clean probably so I put her in the shower myself and cleaned her backside which was literally caked on. I felt very uncomfortable in that place no good vibes SO MY SISTERS AND I GOT HER OUT OF THERE. We went to Mother Love in Santa Rosa which is a real home, in the neighborhood, and Mother Love and her daughter fell in love with my MOM, When I first met them I said okay sisters this is the place, The vibes were so good in there, Suddenly my mother was herself again, Shining with the Holy Spirit, she hated Sunrise she felt scared there. If God isn't there then what was , She lit up when she stary with Mother love, Always protect your loved ones from darkness and soulless people when they are at that age. She died in Peace with Gods light. Cost of Sunrise with a caviler attitude rip off dont leave your loved ones there. Eight thousand dollars a month, Theres a place in hell for this place.

They had a full on Casino with live music, a buffet w/ deserts and champagne. After 2 hours of gambling for prizes and enjoying the food, it was time for the Grand finale. Everyone went outside to a big white tent that seated 300 guests. We were treated to a Vegas style show that had the crowd on their feet. Everyone loved it. It was so popular, they brought them back again the next year. No wonder the residents are so happy there. They really know how to throw a party.

It was a good thing I had done an inventory. Spring Lake did not seal off her room to anyone but her family. When I confronted the Director about the theft, she told me I was upset about my mom's passing. I suggested she look at the log who went in and out of the room. I also told her that I had already notified Santa Rosa police , they took my report seriously. It turned out the CNA that took my Mom's jewelry also stole from others. If you put your parents there , make sure anything of value does not move in with them. Ask them for their policy on what happens when your loved one passes . It's bad enough to have a sudden death of your loved one , you also do not need to have a crime committed against your family .

And flowers planted with blossoms that last. And as you walk around, you may well be accompanied by the songs of birds that are everywhere.
