It is a friendly, not particularly difficult course located on an Air Force Base. Apparently, the base has been renamed Joint Base Langley-Eustis. Our foursome were not good golfers overall. All four of us probably shared a bag of clubs which is such bad form! Still, no one complained about us, and I'm sure we let those on carts play through. I recall one of the holes being just off Weyland Road and if you're not careful, and we weren't, you could hit into a car driving by. Glad that never happened to us! Thanks Englewood for providing hacks like us with an inexpensive way to enjoy nature and our few solid club to ball connections in a relaxed setting!

Temperature is controlled perfectly in the rooms. The wedding party was on the first floor along with us, there is no elevator for the second floor rooms. They told us that when I booked the room. Wedding went off perfectly outside had great weather and then the reception was held on the second floor in the main building food was great, Lasagne, Chicken, roasted potatoes, garlic bread and mixed vegetables. You must ask for room service from the front desk. Very accommodating, being that we arrived after 2 AM due to the government shut down and flights being re scheduled. directions were very clear on where to get our room keys along with all necessary codes. Also received (2) $10 Food certificates in our room when we checked in. Never have to go outside to get to the NEST which is the restaurant so that is wonderful. We are enjoying our stay and a couple of more days left.

Yes, you'll find a tee box that is worn a bit more than you like occasionally, but you'll also see that they are making an effort to repair areas all over the course as well. Mulch over heavy rooted areas to get a base of soil for grass in the future, marked off areas near tee boxes where the grass is being regrown, etc. generally speaking the grounds are in good shape and again, you get more than you pay for is what I would say as a summarized review. I'll continue to golf here for all of the reasons above. If there is any negative I'd leave it might be that the Cart guy/ Starter that is an older gentleman can be a little rude at times. I have only witnessed it and not experienced it myself however. That aside, I enjoy this course.

Neither of those promises were fulfilled, but that's not even the point. My mom felt rushed and ignored--not special--at the only 70th birthday party she'll ever have. They may mean well, but based on our experience, the staff at this venue are not equipped to handle their jobs. Don't trust them with your special day.

The staff doesn't act like they have a PGA CARD, and they know 99% of their customer base are liars and super high handicappers. This place offers a great selection of new and used equipment. The staff is very realistic when discussing club selection. They work hard to get you what you want or need while patiently listen to our golf lies. There is a lot of value in this store. Yes you can find what you want on Amazon but when you buy local the money stays local. Support these guys because they are good at what they do !

There is a newly constructed walkway that cuts the trip time. The bar has specials throughout the week and there is a brewery right across the walkway. Service throughout the hotel was great, the front desk, bar, cleaning staff. There was usually water out in the lobby, which was nice. At times the trash overflowed or the ice wasn't replenished. But also there was one time when there was citrus water, cucumber water and lemonade out for guests, all at once. I thought that was very thoughtful. I overheard the staff interacting very positively with each other, thanking one another for their help/support. That was great to see. Our room was clean and spacious. AC definitely worked (which I loved, hubs not so much.) Nice big windows and the curtains blocked out most of the light, just not along the top of the windows. No flashing smoke detector, which is a peeve of mine. Speaking of peeves, the bathroom is beautiful. However, I hate that these hotels have taken on these barn doors. I would like to simply close and secure my door. This was worse bc it was a double door, loud and clunky. This led to unnecessary noise at night. Often times, I'd slide the 2 doors together, turn around and one would slide right back open. And no matter what I did, the doors wouldn't close all the way. I included a photo. Moving on, the shower was huge with a double shower head AND a closing shower door. However, the water pressure was very poor. Same goes for the toilet. It would, at times, take several flushes to clear the toilet. TMI, but hey... You've read this far. Lastly, the towels leave little white fibers behind which was a nuisance as well. Overall, the things I mentioned were annoying... But wouldn't keep me from coming back. At least I know what I'm in for next time.

I wouldn't stay here again due to the detached parking garage and its hidden requirements. I parked in the garage on the 2nd floor and walked to the elevator to realize there was no elevator. I ended up taking the stairs and once I got to the 1st floor, I had to walk all the way around the building and it was a bit sketchy. I felt really uncomfortable. The elevators in the parking garage are only accessible to the odd numbered floors. If you park on an even numbered floor, you will have to take the stairs and walk from the back of the building. *Warning to all potential residents. There was also a man who entered the garage access elevators who was suspicious, but didn't bother us. The hotel has great potential, but needs some love. When we got to our room, a tile from the ceiling had fallen in the shower and we notified maintenance but no one came to repair the fallen tile. The receptionist changed our room to another floor with no problem. The room was clean and still provided the same window view. I love the large windows and large mirror in the room. I can tell the repairs in the bathroom were done in a rushed job and looked like repairs were just painted over. Ask only one elevator works in the hotel so it takes a while to catch one u less you take the stairs but the receptionist stated the stairs are only for emergencies. The hotel is suitable for the price you pay, but guests should be warned about the parking garage situation and repairs being done while guests are staying.
