The shopping experience. Personally, I'm new to the city, I live here part-time, and I just needed a few things to make a place comfortable for me. I've bought $ things and $$$$ things from the shop in the Byward; I love a good deal and the third floor is great for sales. The staff have been helpful without being pushy The real nugget to shopping EQ3. Those delivery guys are gold. I ordered the biggest, baddest, heaviest couch in there. I'm in a low-ceiling, 90s building. Elevator said 'no' and these guys took the stairs up 3 stories. It was like 3D Tetris on 'roids from the get. I cannot thank these guys enough

Since we were in the market, we decided to pop into EQ3 and test out some of the couches. Honestly, the store was not inviting at all, and was pompus! I actually left this place livid! I'll keep this short and sweet! We were followed around the 1rst floor after an assoicate said hello. (If only looks could kill!) Super uncomftorable browsing in this store. At least ask if I need anything. Not sure if we were treated like this due to being dressed down and wearing baseball caps, but it was incredibly unproffesional. We walked out!

Upon walking in, it's just a lot. Where do I go? What do I look at first? There are a lot of products thrown at you at once. I guess you can say, they really do take advantage of every square meter in the store. The store is hard to navigate, and trying to get down the aisle are tight. They do have some cool products, but the prices are not as competitive as they used to be. A regular priced product I was looking at last month is now $10 more now. I do appreciate that they sell items dedicated to smaller spaces, I just don't think the quality is there for a lot of their items after getting a closer look at them in store.

Lots of the mirror were in the boxes and I couldn't see what they look like. There was only two cashier in the mirror stand is right there. I tried on the few occasions to get someone to help me but since there was only what seem to be 3 staff I could only wait. The line at the cash was getting longer and longer and I didn't feel like even after 45 minutes I would be able to get any help. I am usually very patient but I felt like I was in the way of people who just wanted to come out. So after that 45 minutes I simply walked out with no mirror. I don't know if the price will change but there will be a better day. Jysk is a great store to get furniture at a good price. Today was probably just one of those days.

This business makes custom wood furniture, but also has courses on woodworking and allows you to make use of their extensive selection of power and hand tools by purchasing block of time. e.g. 10 hours of time in the workshop for $150. You are required to take a training course for each of the power tools before you can use them, and the cost is $20 per course. I've taken several and found every course to be helpful, both int terms of learning how to use the tools safely but also to get a sense of the best ways to use them. There is even a laser cutter which can be used for project such as engraving . 16+ for hand tools and 18+ for power tools. I took one course on making a wooden cutting board and would highly recommend their courses for anyone that wants to give woodworking a try They are within about two minutes walk of a specialty lumber store called KJP Select Hardwoods which is quite convenient.

After they picked one of the love seats we tried the reclining mechanism in the other love seat which is manual, it did not work and we were not able to fold it back. They said they will send a technician to repair it after the weekend. In all it is a very bad experience.

They welcomed me as I entered and let me know they were available if I needed anything, but I was left to browse on my own, which I prefer anyway. I enjoyed looking around. They had several Curly Bonnie Spider Plants, and I admired how they were so compact and curly, while mine at home is a bit unruly with some straight leaves poking out, lol. I wanted a cute plant with the pot .. and realized the pots are hand made and ceramic. It's a small local shop in Ottawa and it was super fabulous. The service was alright.. not very welcoming at first and they were pretty annoyed to see a customer and took a while to get help. The actual pot is a lil pricey but the plants are decently priced. The pot was like 42$ and plants varried between 5-13$ I got the Pink lady / callisia it was so beautiful and fell in love with it. Had to get it .. overall it a beautiful place but maybe get your pots / ceramics somewhere else as they're quite expensive !!
