Had the Wire Wizard and his team install a new 200 amp panel as our old one was outdated and unsafe and cleanup some electrical issues we had. They also installed a new electric heater in our little guest house. The pricing was very reasonable and the crew was very professional. Wonderful customer service from a local family run business. Highly recommended. read more

The "Wire Wizard" aka 'Gene Compton" with his scheduling wife 'Jessica' can't be trusted to handle simple things like scheduling an appointment so imagine their ability to handle an electrical project. Their suggestion about giving veteran discounts is useless if they care little for veterans. I can't even provide a review of his electrical skills because they haven't even been to the property. Don't waste your time with these people. My original review stands, and if I could give a zero or negative rating level I would. Save yourself some time, and avoid this 'company' like the plague. Even if you are desperate, avoid! read more

Very responsive and quick turnaround. Gene's technicians were right on it and able to troubleshoot our problem in no time and save us from what could have resulted in a house fire. Best of all was the call I got from the owner, Gene after they left to make sure we were satisfied with the work and the electrical problem was resolved. Now that's excellence! Thanks. . read more

Late on first day. Called and left several messages. Never called back. Steer clear of Wire Wizard and hire someone else.

asked about installing two drops and running a cat cable through the attic. 240 per hour for 2 guys to do it. scared me away real quick. I said I would explore other options. Responded with how they are a premium provider and not the place to look for discounts. Maybe they do good work but why do I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. read more

Outstanding service. This is the third house of mine and family that Gene and his crew have worked on. Respectful, good communication, great value in pricing and high quality work. Thank you once again. It is hard to find someone you can trust and I can always trust on the Wire Wizard. read more

At first everything looked great. We called and Gene came to our place to see exactly what we needed done and give a bid. He gave us a good estimate which we accepted and then scheduled a date for him to start the work. He didn't show up on that date and did not call. We called to see if he'd be late, and no answer. We left several messages and finally about two weeks later we got a call from his wife. She said they were behind a bit and would definitely get in contact with us later that day to reschedule and was very sorry about missing our appointment. Never got that call and after leaving several messages, we still have not received a call back. My opinion, this is a highly disorganized and unprofessional amateur operation. Wire Wizard is a perfect example of the kind of contractor business that gives contractors as a whole a bad and untrusted name. I have no doubt they know how to do the work, and Gene seemed like a very nice guy. I don't think he is a shady person who would try to steal or rob you, But I wouldn't trust them to not cut corners, be honest and upfront about their work or follow through on a job if there were any complications. Contracting is a difficult job and you have to be a master at shuffling your work load trying to make everyone happy in an unhappy world. I get it! But you have to be able to engage with your customers and have those difficult and often awkward conversations when things don't go as planned. Ignoring and evading them is the easy way out and not the path to a successful and sustainable business. It's an amateur move and reflects the business as a whole. I would definitely steer clear of the Wire Wizard if you can. read more

We had Gene fix an electrical problem several years ago in the Westwood Ca. area on our RV . Currently we had a new electrical problem, that we asked Gene to come in and fix... (that we had other "so-called RV experts " look at) An mind you .... Gene does not categorize himself as an RV repair guy ... but Gene came into our RV an solved the problem within minutes .. Soooo... compared to the so-called "RV experts " Gene beats them all ... He didn't give up , until he found the issue an fixed it! The young man and his friend Nathan did an amazing job for us . My husband ... isn't easily impressed but he absolutely loves Gene and his work!!!! read more

Gene is absolutely outstanding. He's both knowledgeable as an electrician and gives superb customer service as a business owner. I can wholeheartedly recommend him. If he says he can do it, he will. If he has any hesitation, he tells you up front. read more

Was good in the beginning but now no customer service or loyalty. Guess he got too big for our little community. Maybe new office staff would help. Too bad. read more

Good service . Could be better with communication. Im really happy with the work this company did for me.

Gene is outstanding. He is fair, friendly, and knowledgeable. He dropped everything to come and help me with an electrical emergency at 9 o'clock on a Friday night. He was very easy to work with and I will certainly be calling him again the next time an issue pops up in my personal money pit. read more

Spectacular service! Gene is very knowledgeable, always respectful and fair. I highly recommend The Wire Wizzard!

Awesome service and very knowledgeable. On a Saturday night there was a fire that extended to my garage. The power company disconnected my power. In order for me to get power back on to my house I had to have the power to the garage terminated and the rest certified it was safe. On a Sunday morning he came out and I was able to get service restored and my daughter and I were able to move back into our house. read more

Our brand new oven was tripping the breaker and so we called the Wire Wizard. Gene showed up within an hour and within 30 minutes fixed the problem. He also helped complete a dimmer switch installation that I had started. We have now scheduled Gene for several other electrical type projects and have complete confidence in his professionalism and ability. read more

I expect all electricians to know their stuff but what I really like about Gene, and why I recommend him is that he schedules his work really well. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He was also pleasant to work with and his rates were reasonable. Good guy! read more

These guys are awesome. Showed up and went straight to work diagnosing the issue and fixing it. Went through and took care of some other Issues inside the house. Willing to work with you, helpful and not dismissive when it comes to explaining issues at hand. read more

Gene did a great job for us. We had a rather simple change needed, and he was responsive, fitting us end at the end of his day. His work was efficient, neat and under priced. We gave him a sizable tip as a result. We'll definitely use him for our future electrical needs. read more

Gene & his assistant Nathan, did an outstanding job today, providing new wiring, wall switches, ceiling fan boxes and installed 2 fans.
