We have an older solar system that suddenly stopped generating. I had no idea who to call for a repair and took a chance with Diamond Solar Solutions after doing a quick online search for recommendations. Brad came out 3 days after my initial call and within a few moments diagnosed my problem. He found that the initial installer had failed to ziptie the connectors and wiring so that they would not sit in a puddle of water after it rained. I was so grateful for Brad's efficient and competent service. He practically ran to get his ladder and get right on the job realizing that time was money. He was thorough, personable, and patient explaining what he had found. Diamond Solar Solutions will be my 1st point of contact for any future solar issues. They were honest and straight forward. On top of that, they're just good down-to-earth people. We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. If it wasn't much of a loss, I would be ok with just helping the environment but it is a huge cost. We are using less electricity now than were then (fewer people living here and we are gone from the home approx 2 months a year), and still when adding the lump sum payment due to REU annually and the payments on the remaining $18,000 owed of the $40,000, we were much better off with no solar. And to add insult to injury, the system stops working every year (which you have to monitor).
