Staying in Port d'Alcudia has both pros and cons. It's right on an idyllic beach with everything you need at your fingertips. Trouble is, it's super touristy. We were struggling to find a restaurant that didn't have tourist food (i.e. I don't typically think pizza and sushi when I think Spain). Enter "the wine side" where we dined among locals. We made friends with a lovely German couple and had a round of drinks outside at one of the bar tables while waiting for a table. Food was on point and we tried some great glasses of wine. The owner was also a delight, as was our server in making us awesome recommendations and in fitting us in for a late dinner on a crowded night. Really appreciated how thoughtful they were. The owner ran about taking care of all sorts of tasks, seating people, cleaning up, but took the time to engage and sometimes even pull up a chair next to each patron.
