Great spot for Natural Wines and Local Spirits! I've been living in NYC for over 5 years and have always enjoyed good wines. It is very hard to find Wine Shops with very well curated selections, overall. But The Wine Hut does it AMAZINGLY. The entire selection is of quality. I usually find wines at this place that I can not find anywhere else. And the prices? Prices are great! I huge amount of true natural wines form all over the world, including more obscure regions like the Jura (France), South of Chile, Baja California (Mexico) and many many others. If you are looking for bubbles, a great selection of grower champagne and very cool pet-nats (naturally made sparkling wines). As a good drinker, I love trying out the Local Spirits, in general. At the Wine Hut, there is a whole shelf dedicated to the Distilleries from New York City, but also some great unknown ones from Upstate and Long Island. Customer service is great! You can tell they know a lot about their stuff and there's usually some bottle open for tasting there too! The design is very cozy and every time I go there to hunt for my next interesting bottle, I walk out very excited! read more

If you enjoy agave spirits, mezcals and tequilas, and like trying something new, go see Jose at the Wine Hut. He has repeatedly made excellent suggestions, honing in on exactly what I am looking for at the right price point. He's amazing! He's the reason I return to this store, again and again. read more

I love going to the wine hut but unfortunately it seems like I just got scammed? I purchased a wine yesterday for $31.99+ tax and really liked it, so I came back today to buy two bottles and the guy at the register told me they just "happened" to raise the price to $51.99 from the day before. I was a bit surprised, but still purchased the bottles, and looked up the prices on their website after to see that the same bottle was still $31.99 :( Really disappointing since I've loved coming to this shop for their selection and service. I don't think I will be recommending this shop after this experience. read more

The Wine Hut - a bottle of red wine - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - New York, New York

If you're looking for a 12 or 13 or $14 bottle of wine this is not the place. The last time i bought a bottle here, in the crunch, I got it home and the wine had turned. 30 years of living in New York City I've never gotten a literally sour, bad bottle of wine from a wine store. Until I came to this place. Better alternatives include Thompson Street wines, the place off Cornelia Street, and of course warehouse wines on Broadway. read more

Amazing service from the Wine Hut! Enjoying my Pappy as we speak. Couldn't be happier

I walked by on a lovely May afternoon and the two workers were hanging out in the doorway enjoying the fresh air, but suddenly when one saw me, he screamed out to the other one "La China!" And they both ran inside to get away from me. Are they assuming I'm going to transmit coronavirus to them walking by in a face mask?! Yeah, used to buy my wine from here but I'm just going to go to the other wine shop on Carmine st from now on. read more

Great little shop , almost walked past it. But decided to go in. I popped my head in and asked if they carried Georgian wines and they did. We chose a great bottle and when we got home were taken back to our trip to Georgia . The wine was fabulous and I'll definitely go back to get more wine from them. read more

I've been a loyal neighborhood customer for 7+ years. I have always enjoyed their selection and service. My latest interaction, with someone named Jose, was so strange and aggressive that I felt I had to share. I don't know that I have ever been treated in such a rude manner. They have lost a dedicated customer. read more

Great spot with sweet staff who are so kind to me and my dog. Good selection and good Covid management.

This wine shop needs to procreate and spread their Wine Hut babies about the city like little wino bunny rabbits. Hardly the size of a bodega, I was instantly enamored when walking through the hut doors. Wines from around the world cover the walls, each seemingly hand-picked and ranging in price from "this'll do the job" to "impress her parents" and price labeled with cute little cards. The guy behind the desk will always be happy to recommend a bottle for any occasion. On top of all this, they're currently offering a 5% off check-in offer and also 15% off mix-n-match cases. It's no wonder why their two yelp stickers are already love-worn. read more

Best wine store in the neighborhood. Amazing selection, great knowledgeable staff. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Great little neighborhood wine store serving SoHo/West Village. The guy stuck working here on July 4th was not afraid to take initiative on wine recommendations, and while I shot him down, I definitely appreciated the effort. They also have a couple of very unique Finger Lake varietals here, so they get major points. Not to mention the 10% discount I received for "buying domestic." read more

This is the perfect little wine store to pick up wine on one's way to a byob dinner in the neighborhood. It was one of the coldest nights of 2013 (so far) and we were rushing to pick up wine before our dinner at La Sirene. We're not huge wine experts so the help from staff was much appreciated. We provided a price range and asked for a red and white. The white that he selected for us was not available chilled so he quickly suggested an alternative. We were out of the store within 2 minutes and got that yelp check-in discount! Will be back! read more

Pretty reasonable selection for the neighborhood & is a cozy little shop. Made a quick grab while in town for trip and didn't have a wine opener and they graciously lent me one for the evening! read more

REALLY GOOD & sophisticated selection at all price points (old & new world). Stays open late, a plus! Extremely knowledgeable staff, who listens to your desires & immediately points you in the right direction with detailed supported options. Decent street parking options. read more

Step away from the busy streets of New York City into a wine hut of Bordeaux Valley where right outside lies the countryside and acres of vineyards. OK.. so an exaggeration, but this place has really cute decor! I love going in and being in this little cozy shop with its wood decor everywhere. They have wine tastings sometimes, which is nothing extravagant but you can try whatever bottle they have open at the time. I love the selection of wines. Their specialty is organic wines. I like the $10 and under section.. or is it $12 and under? Nonetheless, cheaper wine that is lip smacking good. Others may say there's not a lot of selections 'cause it's a small store but I'm the type of person who gets overwhelmed walking into a gigantic wine shop and then spends about 30 min. picking a wine... here, I'm in and out in 15 or less. woo! Best part- they also have liquor! I thought this was only a wine shop, hence the name wine hut, but it also has liquor behind the cashier. Only one or two shelves out of the whole store is committed to liquor but I'm not interested in more than Jameson anyways so this little hut has about everything I need. read more

Love this little. A great selection of wines from all different regions and the manager of the store is so lovely. A little something for everyone! read more

I needed to sent two clients a bottle of wine each, saw that The Wine Gut had good ratings, so decided to take a chance. Looked up the prices online and called for the particular bottles I selected, which were delivered within 30-45 mins! Very fast and friendly service. read more

Usually good. I have been going here and spending money ever since they opened. Customer service has started to be poor. It took three hours to have a case of wine delivered and I live less than 1 block away from the store. My assumption is the customer who spent more $ for their case of wine than I did got priority. Looking for other alternatives in the neighborhood. Also - not much variety in the selection of various wines. Room for improvement. Customer service needs help. read more

This may actually be my favorite wine store in New York City. The service is so lovely, the selection is incredibly diverse, and it's an adorable store. I've been popping in every once in a while to find a bottle over the years, and I never regret my decision to come here. Highly recommended for all. read more

Extremely helpful staff here and a great selection. We recently moved to the neighborhood and are really thankful that this is our new local place for wine and liquor. I have asked these knowledgeable guys a number of questions and they haven't let me down. Some wines that are more obscure can be found here, and local liquors are also available. Definitely worth visiting. Prices are fair. read more

Cute new wine spot in SOHO. Seem to have a nice selection at very good prices.

I really wanted somewhere small, local, and reasonably priced to buy my wine. Unfortunately The Wine Hut did not live up to expectations. Their under $16 bottles are all the same boring bottles you see everywhere else with about a $4 mark-up. I'll pass. read more

My local wine spot! The guys here are great. Very friendly and informative. They carry hard liquor as well. They are pet friendly and have tastings pretty often. I've been here countless times and will continue to be a regular. Thanks Wine Hut! read more

Super friendly folks. Always a welcoming atmosphere, nice music, a little cheese snack. When I make a quick stop and double park right in front of their entrance for a quick pick up, the guy behind the desk basically leaps in the cooler and hands me the wine I like. I used to buy wine from a liquor store on Thompson, but after many months of faithful patronage was told that 2 bottles (or 1 double sized) was too small of an order for delivery. When I call the WH for delivery, unless they're really busy, they are at my front door literally within 10 minutes. Spread the Love! These guys are great! read more

Great service and wide selection of wine. Would definitely recommend. Customer service is awesome too

I needed a bottle to be delivered to a friend near by and they got me a great bottle at a great price. Service was as good as it gets! Thank you! Dave R read more

Small, quaint wine store, with a surprisingly large selection of organic wine. Helpful, friendly staff. Free local delivery. Competitively low prices. Weekly wine tasting. read more

This is a quaint little wine shop with a solid selection for its size. The staff are kind and pretty knowledgeable. They've got a nice price range on their bottles ($14 magnum for yourself and a $60 bottle for the in-laws). We've been coming here for years, and always will as long as they stick around. Always an easy in and out! read more

New hole-in-the-wall wine shop which opened around the corner. They offer a decent selection. And the prices seem reasonable.

This is a great little wine shop. They managed to squeeze in lots of wine offerings at all price points. I mean they even offer wines under $15. read more

My favorite wine shop! They know me by name and my specific order. It doesn't get any better than that.Great customer service, the guys know just about everything about all of their wines. I just moved to Brooklyn and they still told me they'd deliver to me there (as long as it was a reasonable price)! You won't find any mainstream wines here because they like to support more local, smaller vineyards around the world. read more

Love this place!!! Jorge is great with the wine recommendations and delivery is fast! Love the discounts for cases as well!

Great shop with a variety of authentic wine. The staff is always super helpful and nice. Just picked up some gifts for coworkers. Even saw some super local Italian wines that will make me stop in again soon. read more

This Wine Shop is super cute! The staff is extremely attentive! I came in one night with a friend looking for dessert wine, and they offered us these delicious chocolates with a sample. We ended up buying two delicious bottles. Definitely coming back for more. Thanks Wine Hut ;) read more

There is one man who works here who is so inappropriate towards women. I just cant shop here anymore. It's close to my work, so I have often stopped by to buy wine for work functions. This guy makes me SO uncomfortable. He asks for hugs; tells me I look sexy; tells me he's missed me. I just can't patronize this place anymore. All other men who work here are totally professional and fine, and yet, they stand by and let this happen. Last Thursday night, after I left The Wine Hut, I got back to work and told a co-worker that the guy who works there is so inappropriate and makes me so uncomfortable, and before I could even finish my sentence, my co-worker interrupted and said, 'I know exactly who you are talking about. He does it to every woman who shops there.' Cant' do it, Wine Hut. Give a seminar on sexual harassment to this dude. And good luck with that. Not giving you my money. read more

A hidden gem. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and cordial. They are clearly passionate about the wine world. I don't know much about wines, but I feel like I learn something new every time I stop by (which is pretty often). I usually stop by on the weekends and they are always having tastings of some treasured wine that doesn't hurt your pocket. Glad the neighborhood finally got a decent and reasonable wine store. read more
