I'm a millennial, which means I hate phone calls. And fortunately, this business understands that as they were open to communicating with me via text - MASSIVE BONUS! It meant I could put some adult pants on and get it scheduled. They came out for an estimate pretty quickly; arrived on time and were efficient. I've never had this kind of service done before like I mentioned, but the price felt really reasonable. Today, around 2:00PM, I found out that he hadn't turned off our patio spigot [completely], which he'd been using. As a result, it'd been releasing a stream of water from yesterday to today...at least 24 hours. I have no idea how much we're going to be billed for water usage next month, but besides that, your worker should at least be more careful in the future. I was not happy with what he left behind. Thank you for your time." This was Dave's complete, unedited response: "Thank you for letting me know--dave." Like, really? No apology. No, "Sorry that happened," or, "I'm sorry about that. I'll make sure to talk to my guy." I wasn't asking for money or anything like that, even though we'll probably be dinged on our next water bill. Point is, if he'd offered anything resembling an apology, I would have been like, "You know what? Mistakes happen. It's all good." Well, scheduling was easy and the "window cleaner" arrived on time. The friendly guy went through all the motions of a professional window cleaner, except for the part of actually making the windows clean. And that's really the most important part. Here's more info: I've always just cleaned our windows myself. I'm not a professional, but I do a pretty good job. With a Fourth of July gathering coming up, we scheduled the cleaning well in advance to have the job done two days before. We have an eight-panel glass wall in our back yard. Not very big. When it's clean, it's beautiful. When it's dirty, it's quite obvious. The Window Guy did the work when I was away from the house and when I returned, I was quite stunned that I had paid $295 for the quality of work I was seeing, not only the glass wall, but the house windows as well. It looked like he just sprayed the wall off with a hose. Not only were there water spots everywhere, there were still bug splatters, lots of them. So, we called the service, leaving a message. And then we called the guy who did the work, Raul, directly, leaving a message as well. He called back, and when I asked if he could come back to finish the job, he gave me all sorts of excuses about the job. My favorite being "It was hard to reach the back side." Well, I've done it many times and I'm not even a professional window cleaner. It's just not that difficult. Anyway, he finally said maybe he could come back in a week, which of course would be AFTER our party...the whole reason we hired The Window Guy in the first place! So, I offered to finish (re-do) the job (at this point I had to) and he could just credit me $100. He said no. I told him I wouldn't be able to recommend the service to family and friends and that I was considering posting a negative review because I wouldn't want this to happen to someone else. He then offered $45 back. My response was that wasn't enough to feel we had received value for what we paid and that I'd still leave an honest review. He then told me he'd give nothing back and I was on my own. That conversation ended, and within maybe an hour the owner of the company called, returning my original call to their main number. I told him what happened and he was polite and understanding. However, the only thing he offered was 25% off our next window cleaning! He did, at least, mention he would guarantee the work, ensuring quality control. Hmmmmmm. Very disappointed and inconvenienced. read more

I contacted the window guy via their website. I received a reasonable quote by emails, and we began to communicate and set up an appointment time. Three emails were exchanged back and forth. But THEN after I mentioned that we hadn't had windows cleaned for a couple of years after landscaping refurbishment and the COVID years, this company BLOCKED MY EMAIL and would no longer accept my requests. I wanted to be up front because I knew that the price could increase due to the condition. I got no response to another follow up email and continued to get notifications from my email server saying that my email couldn't be delivered, like the others. As a result and after all the great reviews I'd read, I decided to call and leave a message. NO REPLY. I tried email again with no luck. Look for another company, people. Dave agrees to clean our gutters, offers to do our windows and I figure why not. We agree on a date/time. He reschedules twice and finally has his guys show-up on on the third try. They come and immediately say they can't do the gutters because they didn't bring the right ladder for our two story house. So they do the windows and leave. Dave calls while they are working, apologizes profusely and says he'll call to reschedule the gutter cleaning on Monday. Then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday go by...no call from Dave. If you want your windows cleaned by someone who will not only show up on time but actually show up, this is not who you want to hire. We made arrangements with Dave, the owner of this company, to come and wash our windows. A couple of days before he was due to show up, he called and changed the date. No problem. The day he was to show up at 1 pm he called and said he would be late, maybe as late as 2:30 or 3:00 pm. He asked if we could possibly reschedule. At first I said no because we are having guests here after our daughters wedding. I called him back a few minutes later though to tell him the next day would be fine at the same time. He was very appreciative and said he would be here then. The next day 1:00 pm came and went. He called and said he would be late, maybe as late as 4:00 pm. I said that would be fine. The amazon local deal I purchased was for $75 for up to 25 windows - $3 a window. They actually count each window as 2 windows - not one - so the deal should say $6 for up to 12 1/2 windows. TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH. They want me to pay an additional $10 for each window ($5 for each of of the window). When I did not agree to do the additional windows, the owner Dave called me and said it is a difference of opinion, and it happens frequently. Purchased an amazon deal a month ago. I had a bit of trouble getting on their schedule, I get it- I have a coupon. But a happy customer means a repeat customer and referral to friends right? Frank did our windows and we are very happy with the outcome. I read the fine print and understood the window count. (Per window pane) Deal was for 25, we have 29. I agreed on the difference.
