Recently had my wedding at the venue and everything was perfect! The vendors they provided were excellent, the venue was very clean, and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful!

A little disappointed with the holiday Market today, I was expecting a "holiday market." Not a lot there that was christmas or holidayvthemed. But, always a nice afternoon at the winery.

Loved this spot! super easy to order wine for my humans and get a side of treats!! super friendly spot with tons of seating! the humans came back home with 2 bottles of wine so they definitely liked it! I enjoyed laying out under the trees in this amazing November weather and even got to meet a super nice pup here too!

The last time we were here we asked about food trucks or bringing a picnic basket. We were told no picnic baskets but food trucks are common when the weather turns cooler. We drove 40 miles and need a snack with our wine. You can't have a real winery without offering food or at least allow patrons to brinv a basket of goodies. Very disappointed. The weather is absolutely beautiful. Sun is shining... no music playing on speakers. So sad. This could be so much more....

My husband and I were married here June 2015 and loved every minute. Karen was my planner then and she was so detailed and friendly. I ended up really sick and Karen did everything she could to make sure I was feeling my best when I walked down the aisle. The venders that were booked through them were fantastic . I still get compliments on the food and atmosphere from the evening. We recently had the chance to be guests for a friends wedding and experience the winery from a different perspective. You can really see how much hard work and dedication the staff put in to their work here. The wedding was gorgeous, staff was so friendly and everyone had a great time. I would 100% recommend having your special day here.

We had company from the East Coast visiting and thought taking them to the winery for some live music would be a fun night out. Boy, were we right!! It was a blast!! Wine, music and dancing!

The windmill winery is of my favorite venues by far in all of Arizona!!! If you are looking for great customer service, beautiful location and an overall top-notch experience, look no further! There are so many opportunities for amazing photographs!!! The staff are by far some of the best in Arizona!! KolorPHX.com

I love the Windmill winery' it has a quiet rustic atmosphere We always enjoyed the pain n pout and my long lost cousin Jeff :) (the cowboy had that works there). We hadn't been for a couple years due to COVID and was looking forward to our visit. I emailed off their website asking if the paint n pour and cowboy church was still going on as I had company coming to town. I happened to used my business email (adult product site). I gather the woman that replied was offended as she replied with a harsh NO! I said thank you for your quick reply and sorry to hear these event were no longer available. I ended up going to see cousin Jeff and found out that the paint n pour WAS still going on. I gather my ForbiddenApple.ca tag offended her (can't remember her name) but they lost out on 6 customers as I had family in town. The paint n pour is great!! The bar tender staff was SLOW (heavy set early 40's) and not friendly. They need better staff except for cousin Jeff :). He's the great and gives the wagon rides around the property. He's been there for yyyyears, he's friendly and always happy to visit and say hello. He keep us coming back.

Ask the Community - The Windmill Winery

Do you serve food?

In addition to food trucks that are available most weekends (see event calendar on the website for current schedule) we also offer light snacks from our kitchen as available to compliment our wines.

Is the winery dog friendly?

If you sit outside and use a leash, yes.

Review Highlights - The Windmill Winery

Over all I recommend the experience of driving down, trying the wines, and asking Karen for a history lesson.

In this Saturday afternoon my mother-in-law just got back from her trip to Greece. Normally someone would just sleep this day away, but she arrived rejuvenated. Let's go to Windmill Winery she insisted. Who was I to disagree?. We arrived on a lovely Saturday afternoon and had a quick walk around. The birds strategically placed all around the grounds was a nice touch. The koy feeding pound was nice with its running water providing some soothing ambient noise. We order a couple of bottles of wine and a couple of charcuterie boards. The options on the boards were very nice. The disappointing part is that it wasn't on a board. It came in a Styrofoam box. While not a big deal, it did take away from the ambiance and winery feel. Sorry, I don't remember the exact names of the bottles but I will do my best to distinguish them. Also... I'm a bit of a wine snob, but know nothing about wine. I just know what I like. I will start with the Pinot Grigio that's made at this winery. It had a bit of a sweet tinge to it. Not overpowering but definitely hits you on the back end. It was ok, but I don't really care for a sweetness in most my wines. We also had another Pinot Grigio that was not made at that location. That was more to my liking, with a nice dry back to it and a bit of bitterness. We also had a sweet white. I remember this one because they didn't really qualify it a Syrah, Reisling, or Moscato. They compared to a Reisling but I feel it was more adjacent to a Syrah. It was berry forward. Not for me but my grandmother loved it. After the two bottles we drank by the glass. My wife and I stuck with the imported Pinot and my in-law la stuck with the Syrah adjacent. We also ordered one of their flat bread pizzas. While it seemed as if they didn't really have much of a kitchen the pizza was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed it. As it got later in the afternoon people began to leave. We were among the last to start to leave, but as we were walking out you could see cars began to arrive and they were in the stages of setting up for an even event with a band. I will surely return for that. I love live music and pair with wine and food... well then you just stole my heart. Great place to visit.

It wasn't even my wedding!…read more We went to a wedding at the Windmill Winery, and this was the suggested DJ. I have been to a few weddings, and what I know is the DJ is everything. Yes, the photographer is important, but the DJ is the party; people remember the party; you only see the pictures. The bride and groom took countless hours putting together a song list of 45 "must-have songs"; 15 were played. The DJ forgot the names of the bride and groom multiple times and even had minutes on the dance floor where no music and awkward silence filled the room. Now, on a good note, there was an itinerary for how the night was supposed to go. On that itinerary was the order people were talking and dancing. The only people to look at it were the bridal party and the wedding planner. The matron of honor had to take over talking because the DJ was lost. Come to find out, the DJ at this wedding was a last-minute replacement because the "head guy" overbooked. You know the big salt in the wound was the guy that was supposed to DJ was 100 yards at another wedding. There were so many more things to say about it that did not go as planned. I know I would have been happier with a rented Bluetooth speaker and a Spotify playlist. With a wedding, there is no "do over" and no "rewind." We can't replay and do it different. And if you want to risk it to hopefully make sure this guy gets his schedule right, then good luck to ya.
