Sirloin with Oscar Style toppings
Gabby T.

Husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to Wenatchee and luckily, we found this GEM!!! To start off, the restaurant is literally a Windmill which is so cool! Then, as soon as we stepped inside, everyone was so nice and welcoming. I got the Sirloin with the Oscar Style toppings and let me tell you, it was cooked perfectly!! Plus, the sides that came with it, especially the salad and baked potato, felt like entrees and were so delicious. My husband got Steakhouse Burger and of course enjoyed every single bite of it! On top of everything, Janelle was an exceptional server!! She had great recommendations on what to order when we were trying to decide and ensured that we were enjoying our meal. We truly enjoyed our chats with her and we cannot wait to come back again for the overall experience of this wonderful place!!

Visiting for the weekend and found this place having 4 stars. Leah was a great server and the restaurant was very charming. Dinner salad was very good and fresh m. I had the prime rib but the quality was more like choice. Baked potato and the garlic mushrooms were Awesome. My wife had the ribeye and hers was more like choice beef also. Not very tender. Long story short, would have done better if the meat was tender. Had no problems with anything but the meat quality.

From the outside this place looks VERY unassuming. You might not even think it's a restaurant.

OVERALL: 9.1/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4.55/5). I came here with a big-ish group (we had a reservation for 8 people, that took up the entire back area of the restaurant, with tables pushed together and all); it was just a walk down the road from where our hotel was, but they seemed like they had a lot of parking nearby (even on the side streets), so that's a positive. Verdict: Definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood. If you live in Wenatchee, this might be "the place to go" to celebrate milestones! 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 8.5/10. The menu is one really long page, with five choices of appetizer, five choices of salad/soup (with chicken or prawns as the protein add-on choices), five choices of steak (seven choices of steak toppers), two pasta options, and seven "signature dishes". The menu can definitely accommodate vegetarians, but this place definitely has a lot of seafood options (especially in the signature section). 2) FRESHNESS: 8.5/10. For the main, I ordered an oscar style steak topper on the 12oz ribeye steak with a baked potato, and my partner ordered the salmon with fries. I was VERY impressed with the steak - they cooked it to a perfect medium rare, but the "toppers" increase the level of flavour in the steak that definitely adds to the overall meal. My partner liked the salmon, but she felt it was a bit salty and slightly overcooked. My partner tried the windmill caesar salad, which was decent, but she didn't react anything more than her usual, so it wasn't a standout. The appetizers -- prawn cocktail was not much to write home about (the prawns were not that big), but the pesto clams, calamari (slightly overpriced), and sauteed mushrooms were all very delicious and memorable. The PIES. The homemade key lime pie slice was DIVINE. We ordered all of them, but that one still remains burned into my memory as part of my "dessert hall of fame". I really hope this one gets entered into pie competitions - it's probably in the running to win! 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9.5/10. For a group of 8, we ordered a bottle of wine, appetizers, (everyone ordered one) main, and one of every dessert on the menu. They did not include a service charge (which was surprising), but even with a decent sized tip (20%) and tax, the total came out to be $550 (or ~$69 per person). You might think that's a lot (for a low-cost-of-living area, it probably would be), but for folks that are used to Seattle prices, this was a MASSIVE bargain versus what you'd end up paying in the big cities. When you consider the fact that we all had appetizers, shared a bottle of wine, ordered our own entree, and shared literally every dessert pie on the menu, this is really reasonable. I do give it a bit of a mark down because of the appetizer and salad price versus the size (calamari in particular). These are not "failings", but things to keep in mind if you find yourself in the area and wand to try this place. 4) SERVICE: 10/10. Our server was extremely patient, got ALL of our orders right (eight orders to keep track of is hard for anyone, even if you write it all down), and was attentive and helpful whenever we had questions or needed anything. They even came by and asked if we needed anything during the meal, even though it was getting to be more crowded as the night wore on. Also, I mentioned my peanut allergy, but there were no issues anywhere in the meal. I think there were other nuts (almonds? pecans?), but nothing to be concerned about. 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 9/10. We did have a reservation, but I cannot stress this enough, this place is NOT THAT BIG, so being able to accommodate even a medium-sized group would be quite the feat. This place handled it in stride, and I'm confident when I say this place could probably even handle group sizes of 10-12. The only reason I mark this down slightly is because of how the table spacing works. This could be a function of the restaurant floorplan, but it seemed like the tables were generally really close together, which is... hard to fathom in COVID times. If they only seat "every other table", this is probably fine, but it's worth pointing out to anyone who may have concerns.

A must stop when visiting Wenatchee! Amazing service, food, and ambiance! The secret tho is to get one of their homemade cream pies! I've had the raspberry and coconut and they are both amazing!!!

a plate of fried chicken in tin foil

Food was sub par. But honestly in my opinion it's a rip off price wise. Got the crispy chicken for my pasta and it's about a 1/3 of a breast for $14. I would save my money and skip this place 9/10 times

We look forward to eating here each time we visit Wenatchee. It looks and is old school but the wine and steaks are foodie-licious!

I rarely give 5 stars but there was nothing that could have been better. The service was spot on,…read morefriendly and timely. I ordered the steak and prawns. It's not El Gaucho but it wasn't $100 either. Very good. My wife had a burger and it was excellent. Sweet potato fries were great. Good value and very good meal. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

All the food was fresh, hot and delicious. The tomato bisque was exceptional! Terry, the cook, came out and said hello, asking me how I liked the meal. I let him know that I'm a trained chef, and his meal was fabulous! The waitress said he's worked there for 15 years, that his specialty is prime rib, served every Saturday. I will definitely be back for that. This bar has been here 85 years, and I moved here 30 years ago but had never been here till this evening. I'm guessing the food here is better than most of the restaurants in Wenatchee. The decor is plain and simple. The ambience is what you would expect in a local bar with a long history and a loyal local clientele. Nonetheless, the service was excellent and the staff was friendly. Even being charged a 4% credit card processing fee, food pricing is better than other restaurants. So are the quality and portion sizes. New tables and chairs with cushioned seating fill two dining rooms. And there is plenty of offstreet parking. All things considered, it's worth the 20 minute drive from Wenatchee down to Rock Island, just to enjoy the food and the drinks. I don't think anyone gets turned away here. What's not to like? This was a five star experience for me.

Since we had to make the almost 6 hour trek home the next day, we went for an early dinner and were the first party in. Service was kind and quick! Everyone was super friendly. Only thing is with it being just freshly opened for the day, it felt a bit like we were intruding on the staffs prep time - no one made us feel that way there was just a lot of work and chatter going on. I assume with the name Mozart usually there's some form of music (I would assume classical) that maybe just hadn't been turned on yet. But no bother. Food was fantastic. The fondue is not to be missed - the sausage and broccolini were clear standouts with this dish. I got the hunters schnitzel which was great but my husband got the Käsespätzle which is one of the absolute best things I have eaten out in a really long time. Like an oniony cheesy spatzle Mac and cheese. YUM. Should we be back in the area, we would go back again for sure!

We had Valentine's Day dinner reservations at Mozart's and arrived early, thinking that would help…read morethings run smoothly. Unfortunately, the restaurant was already running about 45 minutes behind and no one communicated this to the long line of guests standing on a steep staircase waiting to be seated. Given that the evening was reservation-only, it was surprising how unprepared they seemed for the exact number of people they knew were coming. The space itself is quaint and charming, and the food was reasonably tasty once it arrived. But the service left a lot to be desired. The hostess was uncommunicative and initially tried to seat us at a shared table in the middle of heavy foot traffic. When we asked about an empty private table that had been sitting open the entire time we were waiting, we were told it was for "VIP" guests. Our server seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive. She had to ask for and repeat our orders multiple times, still brought the wrong dish to one person, and served three meals while the fourth person in our party waited another 10-15 minutes for theirs. When we asked about the delay, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Overall, it was disappointing. The restaurant has a lot of charm and potential, but the lack of communication, organization, and basic hospitality made for a frustrating experience--especially on a night that was clearly planned around reservations.
