Rather than pick and choose from the…read moreplethora of expensive, generic corporate (lame) holiday cards available, my boss is privy on sending out custom designed cards bearing our brand. For the past couple years, I have been tasked with designing them in-house. Originally the plan was to print them in-house, but with a job of this magnitude and a looming deadline, I had to outsource the printing. So with a CD-R containing the .EPS files, I sought the services of George at Swifty Printing. I needed 1200 full color front and back cards, printed, trimmed and folded in half. George was accommodating in the fact that we would be supplying our own paper which was purchased at Paper Zone beforehand. Gave me a quote which was well under budget and told me to come back tomorrow for a press check. Awesome! Press check was perfect, the color was spot-on and looked amazing considering they came off a digital press. A couple of days later I came back to pick up the job: 1200 cards printed, trimmed, folded, shrink wrapped and bundled in one box. Stuffing them into envelopes on the other hand still needs to be done in house however. Thank God for interns! My dealings with George and Swifty Printing couldn't have been any better. George is a real stand-up guy and looks out for all his customers, big and small. If you need a print job, take it to George!

They do the smaller jobs like banners and soft signs, cardboard types and even the big full color digital stuff. I go in and tell the employee I'm there to buy a lab manual for XYZ class. They always have them pre-printed so they just ring you up. This was the first time I purchased something outside of a lab manual. I wanted to print some invitations on card stock. I'd never done anything like this before so there were hiccups with my order. The employee was very patient and kind to me. He walked me through the entire printing process. He asked what paper I wanted, the dimensions, how many copies, and how to send them what I wanted to print. It took me a moment to format my initiations correctly for them to print, but he was very patient. Before printing on card stock, he printed my invitations on regular copy paper so that I could see what they looked like and make sure I was satisfied with how they looked. After my order was complete, he told me I could cut the invitations. Had he not told me this, I would have walked home and cut all my intimations by hand, struggling to cut straight lines. I appreciated him so much for letting me know they had a paper cutter!
