I'm not too crazy about beer, and what I'd seen from the menu seemed like mostly burgers which I also find boring. Was very happy and surprised on my first visit to find they have creative and delicious cocktails, which are more up my alley when it comes to drinks. Also this first time, I got the truffle pizza, which was *phenomenal*!! Since then, have been back 3 more times, once for a drink and to try the cucumber salad, which also sounded incredible, to also compare to a similar one I make at home. Loved it!!! Then the next two times, went with my best friend. Both times he got a different burger, while I spent most of my split tab enjoying a couple drinks. When we're not trying to spend too much, this place has generous sides of fries which are also *incredible* and cheap, so you can fill up on those while enjoying the specialty drinks So I'd say it's really nice for all sorts of tastes, and has a budget friendly food workaround too if you're more there for drinks first, as I outlined above. Highly recommend, and can't wait to be back again soon!!!!

I usually get their chicken strips with fries, and it NEVER sits well with me. Sure, they taste good, but after twenty minutes I'm running to the washroom to toss it back up. A friend of mine has had their wrap and quesadillas and even she agrees that there's just something about the food that doesn't sit right in one's stomach. Overall, it's a really nice restaurant space - the fireplace is a nice, cozy touch. The food, however, leaves a bit to be desired. Prices are decent though, and they accept student meal plan, which is why I'm not giving them 1 star out of five.

A bunch of wooden chairs were set up facing the stage, and Perez gossiped about celebrities for an hour or so, told us how he got to be a famous blogger, answered some questions, signed t-shirts, and dropped as many F-bombs as he possibly could. The bouncers were a little too serious for the nature of the event and the guest of honour. You'd think that they'd lighten up a little considering it was Perez Hilton talking and not a concert or anything, but at least they made sure to keep everything safe and fight-free. Food and alcohol are offered at the Observatory. They are fully licensed and offer Starbucks coffee and a decent selection of sandwiches, salads, pizza, pub-fare, and breakfast, all for affordable prices. For those of you that are Algonquin College students, you can use your meal plan here. They also have couches, TVs, and pool tables if you want to hang out and/or study. It's also available for private rentals when it's not being used for other events. The high wooden arches make me suspect the sound quality in here would be resonant and wonderful. The colours are gorgeous and warm and the huge organ looming over the stage is impressive as heck, I'd love to hear it played. As a venue for a market, it was perfect as well. Not too chilly inside, nice lighting for looking at lovely handmade goods, and spacious enough for crowds to explore without feeling claustrophobic. I'll definitely look out for other opportunities to see shows in this beautiful heritage building on Queen's University campus.

The Royal Suite is very luxurious and romantic. The staff, Arthur, Scott, Eric, and Angel were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Both dinner and breakfast were served elegantly in the dining room and were filling and fun. We played games in the Smoking Room and danced in the Breakfast Nook (the most beautiful room in the castle). It was a memory we will cherish.

My wife and I had a truly wonderful time! We had a late check in, but the owner Chris, gave us perfect entry instructions and even warned us of the auto lights by our room. Lovely private bedrooms with updated bathrooms. Stayed in the Griffin Room, and we loved it! Perfect homebase for the wedding weekend. Located wonderfully on the main drag, we were able to get dinner, coffee and lunch all within walking distance! The breakfast part of our stay was really so lovely. Chris was a delight to talk to, had lots of recommendations locally, was very funny, and the food was delicious. It was such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and Chris really was a character. Being local, he had so many stories of the area, of the house itself, the process of updating it, and incredibly funny stories of some of the events they've had. The wedding couple followed up with us asking if we would recommend the 1812 House in the future, and we mentioned that it is on our list to stay if we return to the Tug Hill!
