Ok, so folks are raving and the website is smick. Great concept, decor, lots of Lycra out the front, yada, yada, it's the buzz... And it's possible that some people have a spare 2.5 hours on a Sunday morning for breakfast but I'm not one of them. I note a couple of references to waiting for food and a little 'oh, that's okay- the place was so busy!' excusing talk but that's not a review. 'They were soooo busy' is code for 'understaffed' which is code for greed.
Take it from me - a Sunday brekky tragic with experience from Semaphore to Stirling - the coffee, slow in itself, was well cold by the time the food arrived. Incredibly, when the food did arrive (after we had taken turns to walk half of Hahndorf) it took ten minutes for everyone on the table to get theirs.
The bacon and eggs were okay, had better, the bread way too hard, even harder to cut due to amazingly awkward cutlery (perfect bows or not), the whole thing leaving a fatty aftertaste. White House has got some things right, read it here, choose your time, but - heads up guys - if you're going to put all those tables out there on a Sunday get some more local kids on their feet or use some of those takings to extend the kitchen asap.
