The hotel suggested we take a cab but we managed to pull our 24 inch luggage from the hotel. We cut through the Holiday Inn parking lot. I wouldn't recommend you walking unless you're very mobile. It took us under 15 minutes. We enjoyed the hotel. Very upbeat. We noticed a photo booth on the mezzanine and table tennis. We had a choice of 500 points or food credit $10 per person. I took the food credit as we were going to eat before leaving for the terminal the next morning. Spent about another $12 USD out of pocket. Standard breakfast food options. We also had hotel bar food for dinner the day we checked in after the two fish and chip places suggested by the hotel didn't work out. Ordered: * hubby had chicken wings * I had Mac n cheese balls * BIL had chicken curry * sis had egg rolls We each were given a free cocktail voucher. It was like a fruit punch. Also got local beer. We had arrived very late at night after driving for 5 hours nonstop and we found off street parking as we knew we would be leaving early in the morning for the ferry. The staff was very friendly and directed us to our room with helpful information about what restaurants close by that was still open that they could recommend . The standard double room has a queen size bed , a flat screen tv with a ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with a monsoon shower head inside. It is very high end price for a standard room but location was key for us! I would stay here again if travelling to Poole ferry port.
