What a beautiful regal stately looking place, set on the most wonderful grounds with free roaming deer. Heavenly, English style, quality decor. Attentive friendly and courteous staff. We came here for a family celebration and enjoyed their set lunch, which is 25 pounds for two courses or 30 for three. The food was elequant and delicious and beautifully presented. I sampled the chicken pate..fabulous and their beef main with red cabbage, potatoes and carrots, also delicious. I sampled the chocolate brownie dessert with clotted cream...oh so decadent. I also sampled the salted caramel tart which came with a passion fruit sorbet/icecream. Both tasted very nice separately....but for me the match together did not go...more of a clash of flavours. Also the service between courses was very slow. But having said that ....still a 5/5 read more
