My family & I have lived here since 2010 and have been more than happy from day one. The interiors…read moreare a bit dated, but with plenty of space and a very comfortable layout. All units have big garages and large patios. There are green areas for the children to play and traffic is light in and around the complex. Rent is reasonable and exterior maintenance is more than sufficient. The apartment manager Pam is thorough, and takes pride in making sure her residents are happy & taken care of. She's blunt and to the point, but honest and caring. If I have any complaint it is that she almost never answers her phone, relying on voice mail all the time. She still responds in a reasonable manner, but sometimes it's nice to hear a voice when something may be out of whack or need attention. This would be a 5 star review if not for that one concern of mine.

I have to say that I am quite shocked to read the other two reviews of this complex. I've been…read moreliving at Walnut Square since mid 2013 and have virtually no complaints in regards to standard of living. These apartments are quite frankly the best "bang for your buck" in town. The apartments are comparable to townhomes; very large square footage, huge rooms, garages, etc. The exterior is low maintenance, but still very adorable. They are nestled within a housing tract versus the prison like feel of other gated complexes. They have a no-frills feel to the interior, which could use some updating, but no complaints. Especially after getting a glimpse inside one of my longstanding neighbor's units, which is all yucky brown everything; I'll take my white paint albeit dated look. I agree with the comments about lack of lighting. I am lucky enough to live in an end unit which has an additional window, but even then these units are dark and the only provided light fixtures are in the kitchen. Pantry space is odd as its technically apart of the living area and other storage is virtually non-existent. I am again lucky enough to be in an end unit so I only have neighbors to one side. Currently, they are a cute family with a toddler and a baby. I have always been impressed that I can't ever hear them unless they are on their patio, which is because of echoing I would assume. The manager, Pam, is great in my opinion. I've always joked that she reminds me of my mother. She does not interfere unless necessary (other reviews seem to think she is lazy, but any manager has to abide by laws still), she is not in your face all the time, and she is very "to the point," which I respect. I've only had to call once in three years for a repair after our dishwasher broke and they were ready to replace the whole thing whenever my schedule allowed. Rent is month-to-month, which technically allows for increases whenever, but I've never received an unreasonable increase. It's usually no more than $100 every year or two, and they still are the best price for all the space you get. I only have two complaints about this place and they are minor to say the least. Parking isn't the best. It's all street parking with a few spots here and there by the garages. I have neighbors who apparently skipped driving school and can't park properly. This, coupled with the fact that these spots aren't lined, makes parking a free-for-all mess. The second complaint is their pet policy, which I totally understand is not Pam's fault (she even had to give up her family dog when the policy changed). While I get animals cause wear and tear, in California, you have to replace carpet and paint after each tenant anyway (I believe?). I would assume the goal at any complex would be to keep tenants for as long as possible so you aren't having to turn-over units every 6 months, it seems like a low cost in comparison to let a family keep a small animal. Again, neither of these things are killers for me though. I totally recommend this place to everyone I know and usually the only thing stopping them is the pet policy. It's a small complex so availability is usually limited, but IT'S TOTALLY WORTH CHECKING OUT!

Springville is a newer neighborhood at the western end of Camarillo, approximately north of the 101…read morefrom the Camarillo Airport. Two developers are building out the property - KB Homes and Elacora. Elacora has already completed two of four offerings of homes - Sol and Brisa. The Viva single family homes are going fast, as are the Aire townhouses. We've been by twice, in addition to checking out the floor plans and amenities online. One major plus is the proximity to Ponderosa Plaza, a short walk away. That shopping center has a Ralph's Fresh Faire, Starbucks, various restaurants, a bakery, and much more. We really liked that aspect of this neighborhood. A five-acre park is already complete in the middle of the complex, as well. A nearby apartment community - AMLI Spanish Hills fits right in with lush landscaping and a well-cared-for vibe. We initially were partial to one of the models in the Viva area, but upon a second visit, we liked the upstairs better than downstairs. Though they have a great room style, there's no place to put a dining room hutch, the way the windows and patio door are situated. I believe that model also was missing a built in microwave, and didn't have all that much spare counter space to place one. We went back to see the two story plan of the townhomes, but they'd sold it off. There are a few more left to be built, but you can't see one ahead of time. Most of the townhouses are three story affairs, which seems to be a major trend for maximizing square footage on the smallest amount of land. The townhouses have balconies, but no yards. The sales staff is very friendly and down to earth. No high pressure tactics - yay!

Recently, we assisted a close family friend in her late 80s who needed to sell her longtime home on a tight six-week timeline. Given the age of the home and the complexity of the situation, we knew a professional was essential. Mark was the first person we thought of. Even before being formally engaged, he offered thoughtful advice that helped us get on the right track. Once Mark stepped in, he immediately took control of the process. The home sale presented several unexpected challenges--including a leak during escrow that nearly derailed the deal--but Mark and his team handled everything with professionalism and care. He even helped our friend with furniture donation and other details beyond the sale itself. Thanks to Mark's expertise and tireless work--including evenings and weekends--the sale closed just three days before the deadline. Our friend was able to move on time, and the buyer was thrilled. Once again, Mark proved to be the right realtor for the job. Highly recommend!

JRP removed all doubt. They first built our kitchen, which people often say looks like something straight out of a Japanese Michelin restaurant. A year later, we brought them back to rebuild the rest of our home including bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, family room, and backyard patio. We received every detail both JRP and I could think of, including things most people skip over like kerfed door jambs, mudded in vents, and trimless smoke detectors, and JRP delivered flawlessly. The result is beyond what we hoped for and honestly a bit inconvenient now because everyone keeps telling us to submit our home to Architectural Digest :) We are immensely thankful to the entire JRP team for their craftsmanship, patience, and commitment to making our vision a reality. I've recommended JRP to everyone who has asked and will continue to do so without hesitation.
