Smooth, luxurious mouth feel with lively flavors. The dinner menu had 5 choices. Bambie ordered the lemon sole fillets in a broth / butter sauce surrounded by a medley of fresh garden vegetables. I had the guinea fowl, the leg cooked confit and the breast cooked by roasting. The freshly puree potatoes were silky smooth without drowning in butter. The big side bowl of green peas, string beans, spinach tasted like they were plucked from the garden that morning. The sticky toffee pudding topped by a creamy vanilla ice cream was yeoman, I gobbled it though my dinner had me bursting to fullness. Total bill was 43 British pounds. By the time we exited at 9:30pm the place was full of happy patrons. All seem to be locals, I'm sure the wife & I were the only tourists. The bar does a brisk business.
