I had to make a visit to this QuickCare location a couple of weeks ago due to a bad cold…read more I made an appointment online the night before. To save even more time I completed my check-in online the morning of my appointment. My wait wasn't too long at all on a Saturday afternoon. There was just one other person ahead of me. I was seen by an NP. She was super friendly and took the time to explain things to me, even though I just had a cold. She knew I wasn't feeling well based on my initial exam and overall appearance. Unfortunately she couldn't prescribe anything because what I had was a virus. She told me if I wasn't better in 10 days (from the time my symptoms first began) to return to QuickCare. Sure enough, on day 8 of my cold I felt almost 100% better. The NP advised me that I was one of about a dozen patients she had seen that day with the same symptoms. Spring and Summer colds are the worst. Clean waiting room and exam room(s). Ample parking because of its location in a strip mall. In and out in less than 1 hour. Definitely recommend.

Took my husband in here because he had flu like symptoms for several days and he needed to make…read moresure he could go back to work. Stopped in because of no insurance, two Doctors saw him; one just to introduce herself, the other to give him the test. The second Dr told him the test was negative but thought Todd have had it anyway. The bill was over $600.00 OUCH I wont be going back. Just over $300 was for the first Dr who just introduced herself. Thanks U of I for grabbing all you could get.

I'm seriously thinking about seeking legal actions for malfeasance. I have para nasal sinus…read moreinflammatory disease on the left side of my face. I woke up Thursday looking like a had two tennis balls in my right jaw, headaches, shortness of breath, coughing, running eyes, watery eyes, fever and chills. There's nothing that can be done to stop it not to mention I wake up everyday to a headache everyday. I'm accustom to pain. I worked in Bloomington had some time to spare went to urgent care. Inform the provider of my symptoms mind you the side of my jaw is swollen so bad that the receptionist thought it was a cyst or goiter. Not to mention my B/P was 161/113 no I don't have hypertension my pain level was a 7. I stated that the is chronic and that she can look at my historic medication list. Tell me why she offered me a Z pack and 10 steroids. Mind I normally takes what treat pneumonia and on. 7-10 steroids tamper starting at 70 or 60. I smile and said why would you prescribed me tha a Z pack that like giving a whale a tic tack but thank you for the steroids and thank you for making me having to go to another urgent care. She stated I never seen someone face that swollen from sinus before it has to be your tooth. I said you're a doctor right now you're a physician. So you do know just because two ppl will have the same diagnosis doesn't mean they will have the same symptoms. So why would you prescribed the same thing. I collected my items and proceeded to open the door. She tried to persuade me to listen. I said ma'am no need. I thank you for your time this is urgent care you have other patients. Thank you for the steroids and have a good day. When I picked up my steroids I took 70 mg and the swelling went down tremendously but my face was still swollen. Two days later (today) I finished my exam made it back to Peoria and went to the express clinic on Knoxville my blood pressure today 161/101 from pain my blood pressure is typically 128/76. The np walked in the room and said did you pick up the clindamycin yet. I smile and said no. Oh I forgot to mention while I was picking up the steroids she did cancel the zpack and change it to the clindamycin. I did tell her I know my body better than you and I probably could diagnose your patients better than you. So when the second np came in already with her mind made up. I wasn't going to waste time the pharmacy closes at 6 on Sunday. She told me to go to the ER. Either np recheck my blood pressure ask or mention it at all. I drove 5 minutes down to OSF urgent care and got what I needed. When I blew my nose after getting that round of steroids in me the right nostril had nothing but blood in it. Not to mention I told them that I was experiencing blurry and double vision clearly from my elevated blood. Prior to me leaving the Np recheck my blood pressure herself and told me I should probably take off tomorrow. Are you sure you want to go to work? I replied, "It cost to live." KW
