This hospital has EXTREMLY poor communication. Was told I had to do a COVID screening test a day…read moreprior to a scheduled surgery. Got there, waited in line at registration for 10 to 15 minutes, finally check-in, they advised to proceed up to the 2nd floor waiting room by the lab. Sat there for 10 minutes. Then lab tech comes out to tell me COVID screenings are no longer required. KSB is a 30 minute drive 1 way. So I was on the road for an hour, plus time wasted in the registration line and time waiting in LAB waiting room. This was also time taken from my job. I felt this was total irresponsibility and neglect of the hospital. The registration desk should have been advised screenings were no longer needed, and/or the Dr. that ordered it in the first place should have been advised and called me. This was at the main Dixon location, but the Oregon satellite office is just as bad. If you leave a message at Oregon, don't expect a call back for at least 3 days if you are lucky enough to even get a call back!

Doctor gives me an IV with a steroid and another with an antibiotic. Leaves for two hours with no explanation of how long I will be here or what I'm waiting for. The doctor had zero compassion and one of the nurses should be working with bricks as far as any personality. As an elderly patient who had been there twice and had fallen several times. And not safe to be sent home by herself and so weak she could barely walk on her own only to be told to eat a banana take your meds. Call your doctor in a few days. Bye!!! And here is a big clue that the hospital isn't as good as it should be. When the doctor got back from vacation she suggested we go to another hospital.

My regular physician recommended a colonoscopy so I contacted gastroenterologist and they made me…read moreschedule a screening appointment before they would schedule the colonoscopy. I went to the screening appoint and then received a bill for almost $700. The screening appointment was ten minutes and consisted of the physicians assistant telling me how to prep for a colonoscopy....something that could have been sent to me via email. Of course, I called the billing people and said that my insurance covers preventative care at 100% and that this screening should have been billed as preventive not a $700 office visit. After calling three times over the course of three months, I finally got the answer that they were not going to change the bill. Seems like insurance fraud to me. Anyway cancelled the colonoscopy and will look at having it done somewhere other than CGH. Due to this experience, I will also stop seeing Dr. Cutter for my eyes and will instead go to an eye doctor not associated with CGH. Total ripoff....CGH = Can't Get Help.
