We visited for weight loss for both me and my wife, who are facing some future health problems if we don't get our cholesterol, triglycerides, and weight down. We are approaching Medicare signups, and don't want to face issues with our health at the time of enrollment, which is 6-10 months away. We had an "intake" interview and then a weigh in, with vital stats being recorded and shared, so we all knew the start points. After 43 days on the program my results are: Down 22 lbs; cholesterol down (in combination with 5 years on a statin drug) 40 pts (now at 120!); blood press. still at the 120 to 135 / 78 to 80 range. They measure other metrics also, but they aren't as important as the weight, triglycerides/cholesterol and BP being in control. We are fighting the potential for pre-diabetes and are winning!! The Ideal Protein Diet is very high quality and surprisingly easy to adjust to, and we got great results even though we started with a moderate level of skepticism. We had heard about the IPD from our daughter and son-in-law who were also wanting to "Get Healthy" and used the plan for over a year to lose lots of weight and improve blood pressure, along with other factors that could lead to some major problems (including some genetic factors that no one can solve for you). If you are serious, you should check it out. When I first came to WTH, I weighed 360 lbs, my sciatic symptoms were acute, my shoulder was injured, I was pre-diabetic, hypertensive, and had fatty-liver disease. A little over a year since that first appointment, I have lost approximately 125 lbs., my shoulder has recovered, and I am no longer symptomatic concerning my sciatica. I have also stopped taking all three of my blood pressure medications, all of my pain medications, I am no longer pre-diabetic, and my fatty-liver disease has been resolved. I didn't know what an actual, honest-to-God doctor was until I went to WTH, despite the scores of M.D.'s I had seen, and I cannot recommend the outstanding people at WTH strongly enough to all those who suffer from things that may baffle your regular medical practitioner. I was experiencing chronic inflammation and recurring styes on my eyelids as well as skin problems that required me to pay for expensive prescription eyedrops, wash my eyes several times a day and always carry my eye wash.
