We originally had another wedding venue booked, but when we visited the Mayernik we knew we had to make the switch. We chose a Friday afternoon because we able to save a little bit of money, but also book other locations on the property to make it a full day experience for our guests. The Mayernik has some suggested vendors, but the only requirement is from choosing from one of their 3 food vendors. We tried each over time and settled on Remo's...who created an amazing meal for us. It was high quality and reasonably priced. Our wedding ceremony was at 1230, followed by a brunch reception. For the ceremony we opted for the extra cost of chairs to be set out and I'm glad we did. It was a beautiful day and I would have been uncomfortable forcing everyone to stand during our ceremony. After the reception, we invited a few guests to an after party at The Cabin, one of the smaller locations on the property. Leading up to and throughout the day, Jennifer was attentive and made sure all our details came through without us worrying. She even helped organize and pack things up at the end of the night. I was never worried during the experience and knew she had it handled. If I had to do it again, I'd pick the Mayernik as our choice venue. What a great day to remember!

I originally worked with the event coordinator Shannon, who was wonderful: very accommodating, available and informative. She notified me that she was leaving her job as event coordinator approximately 2 weeks before my wedding! I was a panicked bride after hearing this...what a nightmare! Shannon made our transition to Suzi, another event coordinator at the Center, extremely smooth. Although Shannon was pleasant to work with, I am so happy to have had Suzi coordinate my event. She is extremely personable, accommodating and flexible. I really felt like she was there for me on my wedding day. She took care of everything, from the last minute decision to move the ceremony inside to fluffing my train before I walked down the isle. She helped us clean up at the end of the night and my family and friends all loved working with her. The Mayernik Center is difficult to reserve, so I would plan to book at least a year ahead, preferably more if you want a Saturday date. I had a Friday wedding and would recommend it if all the Saturdays are taken. We did not have a DJ, but used the Mayernik Center's sound system to play music. It worked perfectly. The only reason I am not giving the Center 5 stars is that they do not have chairs available for outside ceremony's, which makes outside ceremony's very difficult. If you are looking around for an event location in the North Hills check out the Mayernik!

A special shout out to the coordinator Lori Murphy who made our tour amazing. She was so very friendly, answered all of our questions and was extremely informative during our visit. We met the Chef and even left with 2 sample boxes of cake following our tour! This venue boasts their all inclusive services provided in-house if you elect to utilize this party event center. There is also no rental fee for use of their facility. The venue is located immediately off of route 8 and has ample parking available. Thanks again Lori for your time. Note: They have another event center at the Holy Trinity location.

I spent more time and attention on getting the issue resolved than I did to plan the whole thing. While the venue has potential, the lack of attention to customer concerns and the excuses instead of results left us feeling let down. I hope the management (owner) takes this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future couples.

You could seriously have one heck of an event here with some creativity. There's even a full working kitchen... which probably comes in handy for caterers. If I was getting married (again:) or looking for a large event space I'd look here. You could really work some cool themes into the event. I'd love to do a Mad Men themed event here, it just seems to lend itself to that era. But I kinda think you could do anything with the venue. The only thing that would be an issue is that you would absolutely need to hire a valet service. We all know what a pain in the ace parking is in the South Side, double that with a super narrow street and you're pretty much parking miles away.

My fiance and I were looking for a New York loft-type venue that could hold around 180 people. In New York this venue would cost the same amount that my whole wedding will cost (we looked there first and hurried it back to the 'burgh). We're planning our Pittsburgh wedding from San Francisco, so it's important that we have vendors who know what they're doing without meeting us often. Jay has been great. He's not so fantastic with email, so get him on the phone to schedule. We're even just dropped by to look at the space and never had trouble being buzzed in. Jay and his colleague Mike who works on videography are always very honest recommending vendors who know the space and can work with us from a distance. Totally worth the money for this space and the ease of working with Jay.

I was very impressed by this venue space. Upon entering, there was great signage to find where to go for the event that you were attending. The building seemed to be very well maintained and recently renovated. Everything that I consumed was also delicious. From the beverages to the brunch of sausage links, eggs with cheese, banana french toast, and yogurt parfaits, I was really impressed with the quality of the food! I generally have very low expectations for the food served at an event space like this one, but the quality of food here far exceeded my expectations.

We spent about half a year organizing it, working with Stacy, Chadwick's Event Planning Manager. From the first meeting, she was extremely easy to work with and very helpful. She laid out all of our options and was honest in her process, allowing us to design the event how we wanted. She was our main support and I can't thank her enough for her excellent work. The Chadwick's dining service was similarly excellent. Our selection process was breezy, and the food tasted just as good when we sampled it as it did at the wedding. The in-house chef was great to work with and was a great help during the tasting process. Our guests gave us rave reviews both at the reception and after -- it was really that good. The Chadwick has a great location. The parking lot is expansive, and the venue is clean and elegant. Our ballroom was a perfect fit for about 130 guests. The table layout was custom-tailored and the (included!) bar service was a hit. The cost is unbeatable for the value, the staff is communicative and smart, the food is truly excellent, and the venue is wonderful. The Chadwick has my highest recommendation. I hope you give them a call to plan your big day.
