My daughter has had several teachers over the years depending on which classes she took and the staff is amazing! Each take the time to help the children individually and push them at their performance level. Even after a move to Tampa several years ago, I still make the weekly drive to allow my daughter to stay at Victoria's! To respond to the previous person: As with everything, there are reasons behind it. Having been a backstage mom for several years, I can tell you it is impossible to memorize hundreds of students, their parents, and their custody arrangements. They dismiss after the recital by song, with police escort. Only those having a matching wristband to their child is able to pick up the child. The children love being backstage, and it isn't as stressful on the children as it is the parents. The recital process is thoroughly explained when you choose whether or not to participate. It is not mandatory. As far as the fees go: in any extra-curricular activity, there are fees and extras needed aside from program fees. We love it there!

The Dance Den is in the space that was formerly known as "The Hip Room" dance studio. It is…read morelocated on the 2nd floor above the Hall on Franklin- in a prime spot just north of downtown Tampa, right off I275. The first time I walked into these studios, I thought I was walking into a NYC dance studio that had been around for 50 years. They have two large studios with exposed brick walls and ceiling beams that really give it that "loft" feeling. One room, which is mainly used for ballroom, is equipped with wood floors. The second room that is used for hip hop, contemporary and fitness classes, has marley laid. I have been taking the contemporary class on Tuesday nights with Ashley for several months now, and I cannot say enough great things about her as a teacher. She is motivating and energizing and the choreography she throws at you feels great once it gets in your body. This class definitely moves at a faster pace, so would be more geared towards people with dance experience- but is definitely open to beginners. Ashley has recently added another class on Thursday nights which is more Jazz focused - more about technique, across the floor, etc. I am sure that will be as successful as her Tuesday class! Though I haven't taken them, I know some friends who love the hip hop classes as well! And I always see the ballroom teachers hard at work with private and group lessons while I'm there. You can sign up for these classes on their website, on class pass, or on the Wellness Living Achieve App. Drop in Classes are $17/each, or you can buy a class card, or a monthly membership. This place has been here 25 years, and I'm the first to review - truly an honor!…read more JDA teaches dance from the littlest walker through experienced young adults (and, once per year, a bunch of goofy, self-aware dads). The classes are reasonably relaxed and very kid-friendly with the youngest, letting little ones get introduced to dance in a welcome way. More advanced classes branch off into specific styles and levels of skill, adding to the variety of classes available. These lessons all culminate in the big annual recital in June, where everyone shows off their skills. Additional classes lead to additional costumes and costs though, so just know that it can get expensive. Since I've only got a very little one, I haven't hit any restrictive cost paywalls. But she loves dancing and the classes are so well geared towards her age group that we'll surely be staying for a long time.
