He stated he teaches at Pau Mitchell. God help those people. They gave me a refund in the cut but not the tip. Hence the 2 stars instead of 1. The receptionist had a negative vibe. I'm from Denver. This was kind of a podunk salon to me but I guess Winter Park finds it suitable. Ryan cut me with a razor he uses all day. I could get a disease from his poor technique. He also cut me and didn't say anything. Coward. Edit to respond: Unhappy? A blind person can cut hair better than Ryan. There's no "feeling". It's a fact that he cut my hair like an amateur. I went to another salon. They said you hire anyone and that complaints about the quality of hair cuts is something other salons are aware of. Why would I return to allow him to continue or butcher my hair? My neck was bleeding. Your salon is trash. The photos I provided are proof. What a dumb way to try and side step responsibility. Calling you unprofessional would be too high of praise. You manage your salons like Ryan cuts hair. Regardless of the review I'm going to the doctor and I'm calling code enforcement.

Walking into the new salon was quite different than anything I've ever seen before. Throughout the building are multiply sectioned off areas, mini salons if you will, for each stylist. Some sections may only have one stylist and some two or three. So the spaces are really designed for the owners/stylists needs. The entire space feels open and airy and many of the rooms have HUGE ceiling to floor glass windows which bring in a ton of sunlight. While I was there, stylist would come into JR's salon and chat it up, share stories, or even find out what products they were using. I felt there was a mutual respect for other stylists talents as well as a sense of camaraderie between each of them. I think a salon space like this has its perks. For example, JR does not do eye brow waxing, but there are other mini salons inside iStudios that do. So I could easily go from a hair appt to an eye brow waxing at another salon while never leaving the building. If I felt a bit friskier, I did meet someone there that also does spray tanning in their salon. If you are in the area and are in the need of a "new" salon, you should definitely check it out.

I had such a nice experience here. As someone who has always struggled with finding a stylist I left Theory so happy. Dawn took such great care of me and really listened to the feedback and styling I was looking for. I have always had really long and thick hair and she did a fantastic job with the things I wanted. Along with Redken color they also use Kevin Murphy products. A lot of his haircare products were originally developed for skincare so the ingredients in them are pretty good.
