I have been coming here for well over 10 years and have absolutely loved it! I see Brittney and she is so talented! From highlights and extensions to haircuts, I have had it all and Brittney does such a fabulous job! She is so knowledgeable and I completely trust her with my hair, it always turns out AMAZING! She did hair for both my wedding and my sister's wedding too! Brittney also cuts my husband's hair and I love that we get to schedule our appointments so we go around the same time which makes it so convenient for us! We love seeing Brittney and catching up with her every appointment. She is so friendly and such a sweet person. I've been going to Brittney since I was in high school, she's did my hair for prom and my wedding, she's been there for it all and it's truly so great to have someone like her in my life!! This was my first time (and last) to INXS on Red Bug. The salon is clean and a bit dark. I am so incredibly unhappy with the styling of my hair cut by Nicole that it will take weeks to grow in and be more manageable. I showed her several pictures of my past haircuts and how I like the style, bangs, no part, long enough to go behind my ears and to eliminate the heavy "wings" on the sides, tapering it towards the back and I showed her what I didn't like....she kept cutting and cutting saying that she needed to even the back and sides and by the time she finished, I looked like a man with a round face and bangs. My hair is so short in the back, I can't run my fingers through it! When I arrived home my family's first reaction was OMG, where did you go for that haircut, you look older and it's so short! Needless to say, I will not be returning to INSX (Red Bug) again. I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter if you go the Great Clips and pay $15 or Fantastic Sams and pay $25 or a fancy salon and pay $100, you always walk away looking the same. But Great Clips and Fantastic Sams always listen and doesn't take off all my hair. i guess i was looking for some place closer, with good reviews and maybe a chance for a twist on my usual cut. I am too embarrassed to take a photo; it's hard to even look in the mirror at a $68 cut for a level 2 Stylist. read more

Salon Inxs is a mid grade strip mall salon with reasonable prices. For keeping up with color or roots or a quick cut it works (sometimes) but if you have a special event, you might want to go somewhere else. The styles and techniques are a little outdated. It's fine but not high quality at all. As far as staff and customer service, that's the main issue. The owner Fran, allows her employees to be belittled and harassed. She's unpleasant and unprofessional. A stylist shared some disturbing incidents the owner has allowed allegedly. She is extremely rude and unprofessional. Very toxic environment. The quality is just not up to par, they make very basic mistakes because of sloppiness or rushing but really, it's the overall atmosphere there that makes it a bad experience. read more

Had a very disappointing experience and would encourage the owner and staff to rethink their policies. Although i've popped in over the years and always been treated extremely well despite a horrid butchering many years ago by an unprofessional stylist, still I very much appreciated always being accommodated and started to take my teenage daughter there for her occasional special occasion hair color and infrequent haircuts. What I don't appreciate is being quoted a price and then being charged well over double that amount. You can't say that a service starts at a certain price ($110) and then $265 later act like it's perfectly fine. My daughters hair was brassy and un-natural looking for a 15-year-old...and I made it perfectly clear when I booked the appointment that I was looking for a junior level stylist to accommodate my budget. The result looked far from $265 to be honest. When we saw the results at home it looked far worse than in the wondrous lighting at the salon. That being said, since my daughter was in tears, the owner was kind enough to allow us to come in to have it fixed the very next day although she would not budge on the price. My daughter was happy and I gave generous tips once again to the kind stylists who accommodated us and thanked them profusely. Later , when I tried to book an appointment with a gal who I recently tried for a haircut and really found talented , they basically gave me an excuse and would not book the service. The snotty brunette receptionist upfront was dismissive , and I have never been made to feel so small in my life by any place let alone a strip mall hair salon. I shall never recommend your salon to anyone nor do I appreciate your overcharging us and then turning our future business away. You have much to learn about quality customer service. What a great salon! I saw Rachel. Right away she established a great rapport with me and helped me navigate a good cut that flattered my hair and would be low maintenance with my lifestyle. She gave me a great shampoo and scalp massage, followed by a glass of wine! She gave me the cutest cut and style, all while keeping up the flow of conversation. Recently moved to the area and needed to find a new hair stylist to do my highlights. I searched all Yelp for what was hear my new home and that had good reviews. I called and got an appointment for a Saturday. In Michigan this was unheard of. I would have to book weeks in advance. The young lady who answered the phone was wonderful. Very polite and accommodating to my schedule. When I arrived I like how the salon looked. It was nicer inside that I anticipated it to be. I was greeted as I walked through the door, checked in and only waited a few moments for Kim my stylist. She greeted me by name and directed me to her chair. Kim provided a great mix of talking and quiet. I hate feeling like I have to speak through my entire appointment. Kim was very efficiently and quickly discussed with me what I would like and got right to work. I couldn't be happier with the results. I have already booked my next appointment with Kim in 6 weeks. I want to point out that at no point was I pushed into product purchase or pressured to rebook. This won huge points with me. I understand some selling is there job but Kim was the perfect mix of professional and courteous when it came to this matter. read more

I recently got my bangs trimmed at another salon and was not happy with how they turned out. Well, this weekend, I was staying with my in-laws in the winter springs area and remembered this salon from several years ago when I first moved to FL. Someone had recommended that I try it out. Determined to fix my bangs, I showed up as a walk-in today to see if they could help. They were busy, but the front desk was very courteous toward me, which I greatly appreciated! One of their stylists was available and she was able to help fix the unevenness of the bangs and get me all squared away. I was in and out in just a few minutes, and they charged me a reasonable price for the quick fix. They also did a great job and took care of exactly what I wanted to adjust. If I didn't live so far away, I would consider making this my salon of choice. I will say that although I haven't gotten a full service here, the staff is very welcoming and it has a clean, nice atmosphere. I would recommend a visit! I'm thankful for their quick help! I had a terrible experience. Asked for long curly layers for my long curly hair that took almost a year to grow out. I came out with an ugly mushroom cut. I popped into Salon Inxs to have my eyebrows waxed. I'm not a fan of having my brow waxed, and I'm happy I don't really need to have it waxed more than once or twice a year. When I entered the salon I noticed most of the staff was young (I'm guessing in their early 20s?) and the atmosphere was vibrant without being chaotic. Karen, the stylist who waxed my brow, was a sweetheart. She accepted me without my having an appointment. Her sweet demeanor relaxed me and made my experience at Salon Inxs a positive one. Uneven experiences. First experience with Rachael was good. Today, I took off a precious day of work to spend part of it in your salon and my appointment was all messed up. I was there earlier in the day discussing my appointment for later in the day. I put off other things to be there and when I arrived, they said it was on another day and nothing to be done. No one offered any alternative. I just left.. I was prepared to spend about $600 dollars there in the next two weeks. Oh, well. Good service is special when you can find it. I have a love and hate relationship with this salon. I've gone back and forth to this salon and I've had awesome and terrible outcomes. I wouldn't suggest booking with a junior stylist. Although they are experienced and still working their way up to master stylist, go with a master stylist. Be very specific in what you want - show pictures! I've had Rebecca a few times for a haircut and color gloss. She did a good job cutting my hair and listened to what I wanted - not taking too much off and feathering my ends. Then I tried 2 junior stylist - Cat and Mallory. Both were nice, but not to my expectations. I went to cat for partial highlights and she did a good job but the color was too bronze for my liking and I felt like a had a colored cap on whenever I tied my hair up. I went to Mallory afterwards to "fix" the color by getting a balayage ombré and I loved it! My 2nd time going to Mallory I felt bold enough to cut my hair short and retouch on my ombré. SO BAD! Leaving the salon, my hair looked okay because she had styled it. A few days after when I washed my hair and let it air dry, I could see that my ends were choppy, not even, and the color looked too brassy! When I called the salon, they wouldn't accommodate me because it had been more than 24 hours! I searched all day for another salon to fix my hair and I haven't gone back since. read more

I love this salon and Mallory. I have only been there twice so far, but both times she has given me a great cut and highlights. I was a little concerned at first because she is very young, but once we started talking she made me feel very comfortable. The salon has a friendly feel to it. The only thing i didn't like was the fact that a simple blow dry (not talking about styling) is a la carte and costs another $30! I moved to Hunter's Creek at the end of 2011 but I still make the drive to Winter Springs every six weeks to see Alicia. I tried this place for the first time, and I was quite happy with my service. I've been salon hopping ever since I moved too far from my old stylist last year, and just have not been happy with what I've experienced. From salon's not writing my appointment down and being turned away, to making an appointment and the stylist rushing my service because they're taking walk-ins, to the salon's that rent space and every other month there seems to be different people there. It's so annoying! I have never really noticed this place before even though I'm in that shopping center weekly, it's a little plain from the outside, and I didn't really think it would be nice on the inside. Upon entering the salon though, it's so nicely decorated, painted a nice color, and nice equipment. It definitely felt updated and modern. When I made my appointment, I was just booking for a haircut. I did ask the receptionist if she could make a recommendation to me for someone that is good with color though, because I want to build a relationship with someone that I trust before allowing them to color my hair. She recommended Jennifer, and I was able to get an appointment with her for two days later. I feel really happy with the haircut I received from her. She took her time and did a really good job, and I feel like my hair hasn't looked this healthy in a while. She made some really good product recommendations for my hair type, and talked about what we could do with color in the future. The price was also reasonable as well. I will definitely be returning to this salon. It's convenient to my home, it's a nice place, and I enjoyed the service I received.
