What an awesome place on a hot summer day. There are lots of parking. The staff is extremely patient and nice. There are lots of lifeguards you can definitely visually see, which makes the place feel safer than most. The pools minimally smells of chlorine, but isn't over the top. I really like how there are multiple areas to play for all age groups such as the toddler area, the big kid area, the water slides, the lazy river, and even the flow rider with staff always on hand and ready to assist. They are extremely friendly and helpful. There are plenty of chairs and even cabanas to rent. My only con is the bathroom smell. There were several times I took my toddler to the bathroom and they were wet (which is expected) but you could definitely smell the urine *yuck! Otherwise, everything was great! This was my first time here and won't be my last.

Celebrated my friend's son's birthday party and really enjoyed myself! It was a super hot day so perfect for the water park. It opened at 11 on Saturday and got here around 11:30, the line was so long. Admission was 17$ for an adult. My friend paid for everyone so I didn't catch the child admission. Everyone has to pay to enter regardless if swimming or not. Coolers are allowed, but they do a thorough check for prohibited items (alcohol, Lighters, weapons, etc.) The facility has cabanas for rent but my friend opted out of that and we just set up shop at a couple tables under a tent like covering. Pool chairs are available all around the water park. Because the day was so nice, the park was reaching capacity and saying that if you left, you probably wouldn't be able to return. Capacity is around 1200. They have a lazy river but because it was so busy, getting a tube was tricky as many people were waiting for one. You cannot be in the lazy river without the inner tube, and they were being used to go down the slides. They have a surfer station, you have to sign a waiver and the line was pretty long, but my son wanted to do it. He waited around 30 mins, but he loved it and said it was worth the wait. This water park has an area for little kids as well as a slide that drops you into 12ft, so you might want to know how to swim if you get on that slide. Life jackets are available to use at no extra price. They have concession and the pricing is very reasonable, the food is good too. They have a parking lot, so easy access.

This is a wonderful water park run by Carmel Clay Parks. Municipalities across the country should look at this attraction as a possible amenity for their residents and visitors. We are in Cincinnati but visit every year when in Indy visiting friends. They have something for every age here. A couple neat, large splash grounds for the littles. A dual FlowRider for the adventurous (you have to sign a waiver). The Lazy River is a little small, but there is no shortage of young and old relaxing in an inner tube (you have to be IN an inner tube or the staff will come at you). And a few slides- one dual with a body and tube slide. Tube is on the left when waiting in line, body on the right. The other slide is a short body slide that plunges into a pool shared with a rock climbing wall. My kids really enjoyed this, possibly due to the short line. We never ordered food here, we bring in our own. Alcohol is not allowed, and they do search your stuff. The cabanas are affordable and very helpful on a busy day. They comfortably fit our party of six, come with a fridge and fan, and run around $200. You still have to pay admission in addition to this fee. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, including the lifeguards. We've never had a negative interaction with them. They do have a very aggressive inclement weather policy. If they expect thunderstorms within a 30 mile radius, they will shut down the pool. And by shutdown that means you have to leave the park entirely, and wait for further info, on their Facebook and phone hotline. On the day we visited this year they shut down twice due to rain. No lightning, but quick rain storms. They were not quick to post updates on their socials and phone hotline. After the first delay they reopened after 90 minutes. The second rain delay we just left. Eventually the park just decided to close for the day. It's seems aggressive and somewhat unnecessary, but probably driven by their insurance company I suspect. No refunds or tickets reissued due to the weather, but that's the norm with these venues. Find a day with good weather predicted, book a cabana if available, and you'll have a blast. I wish more municipalities would offer such a great asset to their communities.

Went here for the adults only Thursday night event called the Monon Mixer. It was great to enjoy the property without a lot of children running around. The event brought in a full crowd of adults who enjoyed the snacks and adult beverages you could purchase onsite. Everyone was respectful and the event was great. Nice way to wind down a Thursday evening! Be sure to check out the event schedule to reserve your spot next time as they usually are a sellout crowd!

At he front of the park you will find three shelters with picnic tabes under them and grills just out side of them. The entrance to the park ends at the Monon Community Center and the Waterpark. The park's bread and butter by far is its trails. It has mile and miles of trails that are interconnected, some paved, some gravel and some dirt. Some through the woods and in the open. There is a storybook trail near the front of the park by the shelters. The trails are awesome with a capital A. They are well maintained and go for miles. You can walk, bike or run them if you so chooses and if you don't have a bike, don't worry. They have a kiosk that you can rent bikes. near the walkway leading to the water park. There is also a restroom there. You will find another restroom structure at the front of the park by the shelter area. The park itself has 3 miles of trails that wind through a variety of ecosystems including native prairies, wetlands, and woodlands. Its trails also connect to the Monon Greenway (it runs through the center of it, and has pretty much adopted it), which gives you more room to roam. Additionally, this park is connected to one of the most futuristic and best all around playgrounds that I have been to. If that was not enough. it has a community center and waterpark located on its grounds pretty much. RIght behind the playground area is a very peaceful lagoon and a boardwalk. It is very nice and I really enjoyed walking it. It has ducks and fish and I found it very tranquil. If you are planning on bike riding, walking, walking the dog and running (why would you want to do that :-)), this is the park for you, even if you have to drive a bit. This park is beautiful year-round, but I find it especially beautiful this time of year, the fall. When the leaves are changing colors and the weather is nice.
