I've been a loyal customer here for quite a while and have always gone out of my way to spend the extra money on the alkaline water because I genuinely enjoy it. Earlier this month, one of my bottles had a foggy color to it, which concerned me since I had never been told that higher mineral content could cause that appearance and with having a new born in the home and trying to stay healthy it did concern me. When I brought it back in today, the employee was kind enough to pour it out and refill it, which I appreciated. However, after leaving and returning to fill another container, I was informed by the owner that they are no longer offering alkaline water only the standard option. That was disappointing, especially since alkaline water was the main reason I chose this location. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. Instead of understanding my confusion and simply explaining the change professionally, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. A little communication and customer care would have gone a long way in keeping a loyal client. I've spent a significant amount of money here over time and never expected to feel disrespected or spoken to as if I were the problem. I went in to fill water and the owner came rushing in and said, "it's not self service!"and crazily poured out the water that spilled heavily on my shirt. Then quickly shoved the water card in front of me saying "get out of my area!" almost physically doing so. He was shaking really bad. I'm positive he's high on some strong weed because he was acting completely out of control and I could tell his eyes were bloodshot. I'm sorry but it's like he was tweaking. We went to fill our 4 5 gallon jugs up after hours since the grocery store was out. Loved that you could pull right up to it and fill 2 at a time. Price was double that of the store though which sucked. 2.50 for 5 gallons of water. Cash only also as an FYI for anyone. read more

Love this place but their open hours are limited and sometimes I cannot make it in before 5 pm. They have the 24 hr self service out front but last time I checked it only takes cash or out of service. I usually end up having to fill up at Harmon's across from the street. Great place to get water as long as you have your own containers to fill. Empty containers are on display, but no stock. I was told to "come back tomorrow" twice, and then I was told to come back on Friday. (Apparently, they brought their stock in on Friday, but I lost out because I wasn't able to be there on Friday.) A few days later I went back to the store to see if I could purchase some water containers and the gal who works there reminded me 3 times that it was my fault that I couldn't purchase containers because I wasn't there on Friday. As much as I LOVE hauling 35-40 pound jugs of water to and from the impersonal and mediocre store dispensers I think I will stick with the kick butt personal service I get at the water store. Even if you go after hours to the water teller it's still only about three steps from the back of your car. SCORE! This place has all the things going for it. It's family owned an operated and has been for as long as I've been going there. The employees know about water and their process is transparent (both literally and figuratively...you can actually see the equipment that is cleaning the water). They can show you just how clean the water is at any given time with their PPM meter which tests how much crap is in the water instantaneously. They also offer water cards so you can pre-pay in bulk, which makes the price competitive with the previously mentioned crappy store water. You get the bonus of having someone help you with your water here, though. They also carry an assortment of water delivery devices and sizes (crocks, coolers, bottles with spouts, gallons etc.). This place is great! You can truly taste the difference getting your water here vs. filling it at a grocery store or something. And you can tell it's something they take pride in. It's a family owned & operated businesses. They are all so friendly & remember repeat customers names. They fill the water for you & help you out to your car. This water store is a family owned business selling affordable HIGHLY Purified RO water. Been coming here for years now and they always are so very helpful with our 4 large 5 gal water bottles. They're a great family local business that offers a great source of water! They also have an exterior water dispenser in case customers come back after closing hours, which is VERY much appreciated. In case your just starting to get into buying water....they sell plastic bottles of all sizes. They also sell dispensing rectangular bottles that you can store in your fridge in case you like your water cold. Or if you want to get fancy they have base ceramic dispensers~with a bunch of different disigns from simple to a pretty design. Go check em out. The concept of a water store is amazing and the customer service and knowledge is awesome. You walk in and you're greeted by a man that knows what he's talking about in terms of filtration and purification along with its copious amount of benefits compared to tap water or bottled water picked up for $2.50 a package. Not only does that create plastic waste but it probably makes you waste water more with unfinished bottles. In this establishment you pick your container to fit your needs or capacity and each refill is cheaper and more convenient than taking a jug into a department store or market to refill. The water is delicious and I've found myself drinking more for that reason. It's a must see must try in the salt lake area!! read more

Very likely this store has a new name. I believe it is The Water Store now. I like this place. I like it a lot! Let's face it Midvale, our water is not fresh spring water. Sure it is not as bad as some other city water, but I am not a fan of just drinking out of the tap. My new home has a water filter, my old home did not. I visited The Water Store often back in the day. I had to visit again last Saturday and I was just as pleased as I used to be with the service. They have water containers of all shapes and sizes to meet the needs of the customers. When I lived in a home with 3 other people I fancied the 5 gallon container. I live alone now and keep the 3 gallon fridge container at my place. I have used the 1 gallon personal container for many different activities. They have stands, a variety of colors, a variety of lids, etc. The RO filtering system is right there on site and appears to be in order. The company I work for sells this type of equipment to such stores (though The Water Store is not our customer) the equipment seems to be in good working order. The store is clean, the water tastes pure, the staff are just nice. They will sell you by the gallon, or they also have water and ice cards. These you buy up front for a savings and just punch off each time you go in. Super convenient because they keep them on file for you!! What could be easier? I submit not much! I am also a big fan of the ice bags. We have all seen the ice bags you can buy at most convenience and grocery stores. They are easy to grab when you need more ice than your own fridge can produce at one time. The Water Store ice looks .... cleaner? Whenever I need extra ice I have 2 go-to places: The Water Store or Sonic Drive In. These guys get extra points in my book also by being active in the community. They have been the official water provider for Midvale's Harvest Days for the last few years. That makes me like them even more for giving back to the community. read more

I've been getting water from Luke for the past 12 years. He has a great business and is a super good guy. I have watched him go above and beyond helping customers without losing his patience when they cross the line. The store carries a variety of bottle sizes and coolers to fit your needs. They also stock pure ice which is amazing in drinks. I typically purchase 25-30 gallons at a time that allows us about a months worth of delicious water. The cost is a fraction of store bought bottled water. He will also help you carry the water to your vehicle which is a nice perk.
