    Neither bleach nor barbicide used to wipe down bar, countertop nor cleaning station, before or after my use of water bar.

    I have always loved this place. My stepfather has had an account here for many years, and both myself and my brother have frequented whenever we are in Studio City. Unlike other water bars- it always felt warm and welcoming - like those who run it truly do care about its patrons' health and well-being. Walked in there today (while headlines are on fire with the uptick of Omnicron and continued spread of the corona virus once again overflowing hospitals etc). It's cold and rainy outside, and you're walking into a store where the faucets are "open" (not behind any plexi etc); you're pouring water from exposed faucets (as they've always been)... into your water container about a 2 foot drop from the faucets. The various corona viruses have proven easily transmissible... but the store's set up has always been like this, and I assumed if everyone in the store was at least respecting basic protocols of social distancing and wearing the required masks ... and the protocols the Owner graciously posted a year and a half ago were in place (and indeed everything was thoroughly wiped down between patrons)... it would feel reasonably safe. The manager who greets us is standing behind the counter by the front door... without a mask. The gal next to him has a mask, but it's pulled down beneath her chin ... because she's chatting it up with a customer using the water bar... who is ALSO not wearing a mask. So I ask, aren't you required as a beverage business with open faucets to be wearing masks? And the manager thinks about that a moment and then says, well, not if you're vaccinated. I hold up my phone showing my Healthvana POV card. I keep my mask on and ask: Is there proof of vaccination for the folk in the store not wearing masks? The customer abruptly leaves - and the manager shrugs. The gal next to him looks awkward and just stares. Apparently we're just supposed to take that they're vaccinated on faith, even though it does appear they're not taking Coronavirus all that seriously. The protocols that the owner stated were not followed, nothing is wiped down before I use either the cleaning station nor the water bar after the last gentleman without a mask has used the bar and departed. Just as I'm heading to clean my container, another gentleman walks in to the store, and walks right up behind me to clean his container. The manager doesn't bother to ask for HIS proof of vaccination. So here's a fourth person in the store not wearing a mask, with no proof of vaccination. As I said - really liked this store up until today. But they're clearly not taking Covid seriously - at least these 2 employees weren't - and the laxness and disrespect for customers who DO care about not catching any part of Covid (or just a common cold, in this horrible weather) was jarring, given the last 2 years and the current uptick. Note the gracious response from the owner posted a year ago and half ago to concerns; she mentions the use of bleach and barbicide; neither were used in between any of the customers using the water bar; nor on the counters. In fact when I looked around on the counter to try to clean the faucet myself, there was nothing out out for cleaning it. And the manager not once between the 3 customers there at the time I was present wiped down ANYthing... let alone the water bar. Customers were walking in and out of the rainy cold weather with no masks and not required to show any proof of vaccination (nor using any hand sanitizer) - having just opened the public door, holding their containers that may or may not be clean or sanitized - simply walking up to the faucets and using them. And then - they're not wiped down before the next customer touches them. There is mention from a year and half ago of a "UV Light Rinse Station". When I ask the manager where the rinse station with UV lights is, he didn't respond. The manager seemed confused by the question. After returning home, emptied the water and cleaned my container just given the situation. Called and spoke to a female, left word for the owner. 3 days later, still have not received a callback. Hopefully at least they are safe and well. Thank you. The Ownership sadly has on several reviews chosen to respond to valid and honest feedback with personal attacks that are both inaccurate and do not address the shortcomings of their business and their employees. In trying to address, several lies were stated on a recent follow up communication - one in particular that "Employees Wear Masks". Thankfully, other custom-water businesses are following state-mandated guidelines; and are doing so without resentment and negativity. Thank you.

    Where can I purchase steam distilled water with electrolytes added for taste in bulk, not prepackaged in plastic bottles?

    Santa Barbra is the only water store that invested in a distilled system. It’s called The Water Store. Jessica is the manager.

    Are there additional policies in place at the store to limit the spread of COVID-19? I have been concerned since we are all bringing in reusable bottles. Are bottles being sanitized before being filled?

    Yes Allie, we have taken every precaution to ensure your health and safety at The Water Plant. We use bleach and barbicide after every customer. We have a UV light rinse station to rinse your bottles.

    I recently moved to the area, and as someone who is sensitive to the taste of water (yes, water has…read moretaste!) I had to try out the local water refilling stations. Eco H2O caught my attention since they have a variety of water. Parking was fairly easy since they have a few reserved spots (yay, no walking 5 gallons halfway across a large plaza) but you may find trouble if you are on the side of the In-N-Out line. Some of their water selections include the energy structured water (minerals and no minerals), a special Kangen (Japanese), and oxygenated to name a few. I probably missed one or two, but they have something for everyone. My personal favorite is the energy structured water without minerals - to which the staff member at the time laughed at me. Apparently people buy these for their pets, since pets can't handle the minerals... ;_; Welp, regardless, this is the one that tastes best to me. It's clean, pure, and smooth like how (I think) water should be. They have a variety of bundles, where you can pre-purchase many gallons for a small discount. Their fee structure was attractive since they were all multiples of 5. What I enjoyed was that they let you sample all the different types of water before you commit and even have sampling cups! My one gripe was that to fill up a water bottle or two, I had to pay the price of a full gallon... not the biggest inconvenience but not the best way to invite new customers - though regardless business is business, I guess.

I've never thought to yelp about it but she's rude, and I have no clue why. Very cut and dry with me over the years and I dread seeing her when I come to get water. I typically say hello and go fill up my water, put in my info and exit saying thank you-never had any issues in this establishment. I.e. today I entered with an empty can and before greeting me she said "the trashcan is at the end of the block" I asked if she had a trashcan bc it's empty and she said they don't take trash from outside, which I know is false bc I've used the trashcan behind the desk previously.

    I like being able to refill my own 3-gallon bottles…read more Unfortunately, supermarket "Primo" machines are terrible--often broken and who knows when they're cleaned. But The Water Plant is clean, working--and the water tastes good (yes, different water tastes different!) I prefer the reverse osmosis water that costs 60 cents a gallon. That's lower than supermarket machines because they don't charge a fee for using your credit or debit card. It's downright inexpensive compared to pre-bottled water. Water bottle delivery can cost almost 10 times as much--for the same kind of water! Parking is easy here, except at dinner or Sunday brunch hours. If you prefer to fill your own water bottles, this is a great place to do it!

The Depot has Great hours, very convenient used credit car and Apple Pay has 3 delicious waters to choose from. The Structured Spring Mineral water is my favorite.

I purchased the Water Softener and Reverse Osmosis drinking water units for our home. Consultation experience: Josh was the first vendor to contact me after listing my search on on Yelp. He came promptly for an in person presentation to test the city water in my home and explain all the options. I was very impressed by him not trying to "sell" but rather ask questions to learn what specifically I was looking for the use of my home water. Once I decided on going with PureLux H20, he was able to send his technicians out to my home within 4 days to install the unit. Workmanship experience: Hardy and Hugo were the technicians, and they were extremely informative and diligent. They showed up punctual to the time they gave me in advance. I appreciated that they were very conscientious to ask all the questions in advance of where I would like the unit installed, briefing me on ease of access location as well as possible noise that might be a disturbance if too close to an indoor room. The installation was done within the time frame they gave me, and they left the work area clean after they left. Follow up: They came out again to my home after the unit was installed for follow questions and calibrations. All throughout the service, I was very pleased by the genuine concern for providing the best customer service from Josh, Hardy and Hugo. Water quality difference: The water in my house now is noticeable softer (no mineral residual left on glass) and the drinking water from the reverse osmosis now tastes much better, without the chlorine taste from the city water. Hardy connected the reverse osmosis unit to the refrigerator (for ice maker, and water dispenser) in addition to the tap spigot. The quality difference in our home water is noticeably better in all respects (smooth, no odors, tastes better, no mineral residual) and well worth the investment in the Water Softener system installed by PureLux H20. Worth it, of course!!! I would highly recommend PureLux H20 for the personal customer follow-up and professional service. The price of the three vendors on Yelp I searched was also the most competitive offer which I received from PureLux.
