Well I recently brought in my grandmother's 90 plus year old platinum and iridium ring with small sapphires and diamond chips. The center 2ct diamond was removed many years ago so when I inherited it I wanted to replace the center diamond with a loose 1ct diamond that I had brought in to Kelly along with the ring. Well, after three (3) weeks of being worked on I received a text from Kelly saying that my ring was read! Upon my arrival I was advised that the stone was a CZ and broke upon installation in the ring. I was never called by Kelly nor the jeweler regarding this issue. I requested to have the broken stone returned and was advised that they disposed of it??? To treat a customer of 20 plus years like garbage and insult my integrity in order to cover up their own mistakes for the sake of a 1ct diamond and replace it with a cheap CZ diamond is the ultimate betrayal! Dave's solution to the problem was to refund some of my money for the repair and basically said that the ring was worth $1,500 to add insult to the situation. He took me to another vendor that he trusted who surgically stitched the strap together and made it look brand new! I also had him do a fitting on my Cuban link bracelet, he fitted it perfectly to my wrist and made sure to give me my extra links in a separate bag. I've experienced jewelers in the past that have tried keeping the extra links or not mentioning at all after making modifications. They promised to put it in a nice little box. They told me they had to make a special 'hidden clasp' for the pendant to make it look right. I paid them ahead of time and waited a week ( they were going on vacation), then 2 weeks, then 3 weeks. When I called they couldn't find the order and finally said 'he's working on it now'. A week later the wife picked it up ( in a plastic bag), no 'hidden clasp' they just opened the pendant enough for the chain to fit through. Caveat emptor with this family.... Steve.... Where is the 'hidden bail" you charged me $125 for?‍ Just so people understand what a hidden Bail is... you cut gold out of my pendant to make room for the chain instead of putting on the bail you quoted. I prefer to settle things publicly You literally quoted me on the hidden bail, charged me for it and then took gold out of my wife's pendant ( no bail).
