Out of all the Vitamin places in Solano County this is by far my favorite. The other options in the county either try to sell you everything and anything or don't try to sell you anything. I have yet to come here and be disappointed. Every time I have come they have suggested the right thing that I needed or was looking for. Everything they have suggested has worked the way I had hoped it would. The prices are reasonable and wish they where closer to my house... The drive is a drag and thats the only downfall to this place. If I had one of these near my house I would probably be there on a regular regular bases. It's unfortunate that I need to write this about a local business. However, it's important for the community to know who is doing good and not so good business in the area. I have shopped at this store several times with no issues, in fact one of the employees was so helpful with a search I was on for my husband that I bought from them even though I found the item for less elsewhere. But after the less than professional behaviors and lack of customer appreciation by the GM named Kai, I will never go back. I made a recent essential oil purchase online in which I received an additional 20% off for spending more than $75 (I exceeded it by $50). My package came a day early which was great of course. There were two items in my order that were rancid/unpleasing to the nose, and one had leaked, which was the least of my worries. I called the store to see about exchanging the items for a brand I was more familiar with and never had a rancid problem with before. That wouldn't be an issue for the store, but there was no way in hell that Kai was going to honor the 20% that I earned by spending over $75. because "the promotion ended," and "her computer wouldn't let her." The promotion ending has nothing to do with the fact that I was sent TWO rancid products. You replace the items and honor the discount, as this isn't considered a new purchase. And even if it were, it's still an exchange. There are several other stores in Vacaville and one I found in Fairfield, who carry these same essential oils. You would think that Kai would do whatever needed to keep my business - to keep business coming through their door. On the contrary. She was dismissive, short and literally uninterested in doing right by the customer. **Note that the replacement products were higher in price, which would've made the store more money. I spent 19 years in corporate management and can proudly state that I never treated a customer with such nastiness. It's unfortunate that Kai is the GM for this store when there are other employees who would surpass her in quality of service and not be so reckless with the company's bottom line, especially in 2020. On a lighter note, I bought some of my oils at Nugget Markets, and what they didn't have I found at Vitamin Adventure in Fairfield for a good price. i may have paid a touch more at both places (only due to the sale Vitamin Shoppe had going at the time), but I was treated with civility and received non-rancid products, and for that I will continue to give them my business. read more

This place is very organized and well stocked. I like that I can run in, grab what I need, pay and be done with it. I'm always the only one in there, it's always the same gal working, my 2 items I buy are always in the same place. It's nice to have one stop in my life be quick and easy. They also have a customer rewards program that is based on dollars spent. I don't know how it works but I like that every few months I get a 5$ off coupon in the mail. Customer appreciation brings men back for sure. Wish more businesses in frequented had them. read more

The manager was very condescending and was very defensive from the jump I think the both of them are new because I've never seen either of them before. The young woman who was there working was rude and not very customer service friendly. She said some things that rubbed me the wrong way and it was very offensive which really makes me sad because I've been coming to this store for years now and never had a problem before. So, I am into fitness and I take different supplements...whether I buy from VitaminShoppe, NutriShop, or GNC depending on my needs...I'm always a repeat customer...until today. NutriShop completely blew it and I'm done with them. I want to thank you ladies and gentlemen who work at VitaminShoppe for treating me amazingly every time I come in. I recently encountered 2 very rude boys associated with that horrible rival shop, which made me realize just how much I appreciate genuinely good and kind customer service whether or not I end up purchasing anything. No one in the store treats me poorly even if I happen to mention I saw the same product for a different price elsewhere and you are always able to recommend multiple supplements rather than just the one go-to product the way I feel NutriShop handles things. Came here to check for some supplements. I've been using the Arnold Muscle Pharm Iron Cuts and Iron Dream. They didn't have the Iron Cuts in stock and the Iron Dream was 40 bucks. The only reason I dropped by was because I heard there prices were close to Amazon sadly enough they weren't. I ended up ordering both items online for a total of 52 bucks while if I bought them at the store it would have cost 75 bucks. The two girls that worked there didn't pay me much attention. One never said anything and the other seemed to just kinda be zoning out. Probably wouldn't come back, but maybe this was just a fluke and I got a bad experience. I have been recommended a few times to Vitamin Shoppe. Its a few miles away from home, but instead of going to the usual GNC down the street I decided to check them out. I was extremely disappointed with the service. I walked in with my younger sister, and three ladies are chatting it up about irrelevant topics around the counter. One of the ladies asks me, "Do you have a question?" I mention I may in a bit, but as I stroll to the protein powders they all continue to talk, this time complaining about "Hours" they work. I decided to get what I came there for, and the girl ringing me up says nothing but how much I owe her. I pay, and she hands me the receipt and attempts to walk away.... Doesn't even bag my items. The customer service in this place is usually pretty bad, but today was just too much for me to ever go back here! I went in to get prenatal vitamins this afternoon (2/19/15)... I was the only customer in the store. I wasn't acknowledged by the girl at the register when I walked in, but what else is new for this place! Then there was a male associate in the aisle I needed to look at... He was sitting in a chair with a big cart next to him completely blocking the vitamins I wanted to look at. He looked up at me, didn't say anything, just looked completely inconvenienced by my presence. I told him I needed to get some prenatal vitamins, he said "tell me which ones and I'll hand them to you"... girls know there are a million types of vitamins!! So I told him I didn't know which ones because I'd never bought them before and that I needed to look at some of the labels. Again, he didn't say anything, didn't get up, just rolled his eyes and kept on doing whatever he was doing with the shelves. I'm just so tired of the rude sales associates in this place! THIS WAS FROM MY VISIT BACK IN JULY. For Some reason my review never posted.- UPDATED The DSM did call me to see if there was anything he could do to get me to come back. He was very nice and will make me give this store another chance. I have not gone back since my last visit but plan to at least one last time. If service doesnt improve that will definitely be my last I have gone to this store about a half a dozen times and after my last visit I am done. The customer service here is just plain flat out AWFUL! The first time (and even second time) I thought maybe they were just having an off day, but that is not the case. There is always at least 3 people working and not ONE of them EVER offers any assistance. My last visit I need something specific and unfortunately couldn't wait to order it online and have it shipped. I walked in and there were 2 people at the counter (one being the manager) they continued their conversation like I hadnt even walked in. I walked up and down the isles (which they could see me looking) and just carried on. This has been my experience every time I have come in to the store. When going to check out the manager always seems annoyed that she has to stop her conversation to ring me up. It's really too bad because they really do have a great selection and pretty good prices but the service is just terrible. read more
