Tried to call SEVERAL TIMES and the phone just rings. I checked the website for a "live status" for the business and the site states "not too busy". WTF I'm just trying to find out if they carry a product before I drive there. This is NOT the first time I have tried to call and check product selection and no one answers. I stopped in here on 12-31-2022. I've been here before, but apparently have never completed a review. I stopped in for some vitamins to start the new year off right. When I walked in I was greeted, which was good. I asked a few questions and was taken over to what I was looking for. It was a pleasant experience. I even got a pill box for free, just by asking. Every single staff is professional, knowledgeable, nice and super friendly. They make you feel welcome. I've been working closely with Toofan and he's just the best in the industry. At 415pm on March 3rd, there were 3 employees and and no one in the store. I didn't even get a welcome or help until I had to ask. The items here are great but if I didn't know what I was looking for, this place didn't seem too welcoming. When I asked, no one really looked like the wanted to help, like I was burdening them. I had been purchasing my supplement from Amazon for years. I had heard of Vitaminshoppe but never been to one of their locations until today when my protein ran out. It's a fun place for shopping if you're into the healthy lifestyle. I was using the same protein for years. Toofan asked me a few interesting questions about what is my goal? What time usually I workout? And how is my diet? I was surprised with his knowledge and care for the customer, even though the store was busy and he was trying to help other customers at the same time. I ended up buying a bodytech whey protein isolate. They had a great deal for buy 1 get 1 half off. I took the advantage of the sale. My favorite part was that he offered me the free award program with lots of benefits. I saved more here than Amazon and received excellent information on product. GNC or Vitamin Shoppe... that is the question... I'm not here to tell you which store is better, but you cannot get it any better service/advice than this Vitamin Shoppe off Loisdale Rd (old shopping center). Mort, the manager, is top notch. I came in and he greeted me with a warm smile. He didn't even try to sell me anything! Instead he gave me very good nutrition/fitness advice. I went in thinking I needed more protein in my diet and was going to purchase some whey protein isolate. After talking to Mort, he advised me at my age/exercise regime, I should really be taking fish oil, a multivitamin and exercise 30 minutes a day, while eating 50% raw foods with fish/chicken etc for protein. Should I feel very exhausted after a workout, like my body needs something more, I can come back in to see what supplements I might need. WHAT?! I've been in sales... and I know at other stores, they try to upsell you instead of giving you advice. My kind of store! Going here to get my next set of vitamins :) read more

I use to love this shop Use to be a frequent shopper. i am tired of all the new management who dont know anything about supplement. I was welcomed with a warm welcome, gentleman walked over to ask if I needed help I asked about pre workouts.I read his name tag he is the store manager ( don't remember his name ) He recommend a product off their clearance table ( nothing wrong with clearance tables ) but I specifically told the man what I was looking for and gave me the complete opposite. He then claimed that it was the best they had in reality when I arrived home it taste horrible, made me anxious. It seems to me he just pushed an item that wouldn't sell and feel like I was taken advantaged of. So the reason for this review is because i am fed up with "managers" not knowing anything about the product and claiming it is the "best" not caring for customers needs. I used to come here all the time. On 8/26/2016 5:43pm I came here to buy supplements. The woman with brown hair working the counter was eating chips while talking to another associate. As soon as she saw me waiting to checkout, she continued to talk to the other gentleman who works there. What happened to customer service? After about a minute, she licked her fingers off and hopped off her stool, then rang up all my things. Gross. Her associate # which is on my receipt that I still have is 038393.
