Others have praised the customer service here, and I will definitely agree that these guys know their stuff. It's not a bunch of gym dudes telling you what will get you amped, it's actually sensible people who are there to answer questions. But they are RIGHT THERE. Maybe it's that they weren't busy so I was the focus of their efforts, or maybe it's just that I'm not very well acclimated to this supplement and vitamin world so I need a little time to breathe, but from the moment I walked in they were at my side asking questions and showing me stuff. Ya, I probably should have asked for a little space if I had wanted it, but since I was seeking something so specific, they showed me what they had and that was that. I originally found this place as a happy accident while doing a Yelp search for a completely different chain (you can probably guess which one). However, after getting really poor customer service and attitude after visiting "that" particular chain, decided to go elsewhere. It was at that point I happened to remember the name of this place. Of course, it's not hard to remember the name, which is probably what they were going for in the first place! It's fairly self explanatory despite the attempt at an "old fashioned" feel. Well inside, old fashioned it is not. It's a modern, clean and spacious store with a huge selection. What did have more of an old fashioned feel was the service - by which I mean it actually reminded me of when stores seemed to genuinely care about their customers. They were very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable of the products they carry. Plus they actually had the item we were looking for AND at a somewhat lower price to boot, without the need for silly loyalty programs. It was a very refreshing experience, and as someone who is trying to lead a more healthy life in general, is somewhere I suspect I will definitely be visiting fairly often now that I've discovered it. read more

I've been shopping here for years. The last time I came in I couldn't find anything because the whole store had been rearranged. There were boxes everywhere and a ladder in the middle of one of the aisles. I got zero greeting when I came in, despite the fact that I was the only person in the store. I was obviously having difficulty locating what I needed, but they completely ignored me. I tried maneuvering around the ladder to see if what I needed was around there while I was completely disregarded as a customer. Then when I finally went to check out, they didn't even speak to me. They were too busy (IRONICALLY!!) talking to each other about a recent yelp review. Neither asked me how I was doing, if I found what I needed, NOTHING. After I paid I stood there waiting for my receipt, which historically has always been printed out. The lady stared at me like I was an idiot, then, curtly, informed me that I would be emailed a receipt. They did NOT thank me for shopping with them and started conversing with one another again before I could even take my three steps out the door. Incredibly unprofessional. Amazon is often cheaper anyway, so I'll just shop there from now on. Jokes on them. Can't wait until they see this review. read more

As a girl who has spent two decades of her life trying to lose weight, I've been to a lot of health supplement stores. When I lived out of state, I preferred Vitamin Shoppe over GNC or any other big-name chain brand. When VS FINALLY opened up a Utah location this summer, I was thrilled. I don't mind buying things online, but when you're looking at ever label every product to check nutrition facts, a store is really helpful. The store is clean, organized, and the staff is very helpful. I have some specific needs for my health, and anything that was not available in store, they were willing to order in for me. Two of the people I've talked to have been extremely knowledgeable about health, nutrition, and vitamins...and they're genuine about it (not just like a meathead personal trainer to only works out to compensiate for his beers on the weekend). To walk into a store and have someone know the difference between "bariatric" and "geriatric" vitamins was encouraging. read more

Rebecca, an employee, is bad for your business. Attitude. She was not helpful about the wrong address listed on the website- road vs street. Her facial expression- down turned and pinched. She actually said she couldn't do anything. I asked her to look at it and she refused. Actually refused. Management, please call me. The other young woman was willing and helpful. A wrong address has to hurt a business. A Bad employee will lose more business, like mine. I also didn't shop for other things because of the negativity. I have the choice to go elsewhere. read more

Shout out to the Vitamin Shoppe for good products, handy on-line ordering with store pick-up and super service. Ordered several different flavors of protein powder on-line and went into the store to pick it up. The employee had my order ready and read off the flavors on the receipt which was correct. When I got home however I had a wrong flavor. I brought it back to the store where they discovered an incorrect product number on the receipt which caused the mix up. The same employee from whom I picked up my order offered to call other stores to locate the flavor and then said he'd go get it for me and I could come back the next day to exchange flavors. I did come back today and my exchange was there. Very impressed with the customer service. I will definitely be back when I need a product they sell. read more

The customer service is great. They know what they are talking about. They're well educated in every product. However, they always try to deter you to the generic in store brand "Body Tech". I understand that it's their own brand however it is quite useless and they should ease up on their customers who want to buy products that actually work and will show you results. I do not understand why they carry other brands if they want you to purchase Body Tech so badly. Do not be fooled by the inexpensive products, they do not work. I have personally tried them and experienced no results and when I switched to name brand products I saw more consistent results. They should be embarrassed recommending Body Tech products to their customers. Also for how expensive supplements are, they should amp up their rewards program for their loyal customers. A $5 coupon every 3-4 months is quite disrespectful. I give them 3 stars for their amazing employees who are always friendly and are always educated about products in store which is impressive for the amount of products this store carries. read more

There are 3 great things about this place: the staff, the variety, and the prices(generally speaking). The staff has been really excellent, and more consistent than any other supplement store I've ever been to (although, recently they lost a couple people). They are knowledgeable and professional, and they aren't there to pressure you into buying items you don't want or need (GNC is the king of that).The store has a very wide range of products. They don't carry everything I like, but the selection is great. Lastly, the prices are much more reasonable than other chains. All I can say is that this place has a lot going for it. I shop here about once per week. I really hope they don't ever become like GNC. read more
