I have been shopping at this store for over a year. It is a clean and OK establishment. They have a nice selection of protein powders and a suitable selection of vitamins and supplements. I feel these stores can be much more if staff was trained not in just the latest fitness and protein bar craze but also in nutrition and supplements in general and beyond the fitness world. new manager max up on her first day here I came in the store she was very rude , other associates here before her she talked badly about them. these people I have been friends with for years. she was very cocky saying she is the manager in charge. the question I asked she was very condescending in her response to me. since that day I have not come back in this store because it makes me uncomfortable. I've never had a bad experience at The Vitamin Shoppe until now. I went to this location last night for the first time and encountered the rudest employee ever. Her name is Lillian. Right when I get to the checkout counter, she had an attitude. Very short in her manner of tone and not friendly at all. I shrugged it off because I know we all have bad days. She continued to ask me for my phone number and I gave it to her (while she was repeating it back to me). Then, she scans my item, tells me my total, and I run my card. She gives me my bag and places my receipt in there. I say "Thank you, appreciate it" even though she doesn't bother to say anything back and stays silent. I always check my receipt when I leave anywhere, which I did there. Well, I noticed my phone number wasn't on there, which it has to be every time so that you know your purchase got added to your account giving you more points. I go back and tell her this and she rudely says "I didn't hear you say your phone number." I calmly and politely tell her I heard you repeating it back to me and she continues to say "No, I didn't." Well, I ask her to add my number and she says she can't undo the transaction and she would have to add it manually. (Keeps getting worse, trust me). After that struggle, she continues to give me the run around and says it takes "24 hours for the system to update with the change" with a "go away face" to top it off. Basically, blowing me off and trying to get me to leave. Of course at this point, I've had it and I wasn't going to trust or talk to her anymore so I got her manager involved, Antonio (on his badge said Key Holder so I don't know) and he was friendly and helpful. He apologized and tried to get the Store Manager on the phone. He couldn't, but promised he would take care of it and send me a picture of the final receipt once it was done. I LEAVE THE STORE AND LILLIAN STILL HAS A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE AND DOESN'T BOTHER TO APOLOGIZE OR EXCUSE HERSELF. Talk about a serious lack of customer service skills and someone who hates their job. This morning I received a call from the Store Manager, Christina, and she said she took care of it and should show up in my account now. She said she had to come in early this morning to fix my issue letting me know she went out of her way to assist me. Wow, I see why Lillian works there because her manager doesn't have customer service skills either. As a manager, you're not supposed to say things like that. I brought up Lillian and told her how rude she was and Christina didn't say anything or even apologize on her part. Again, I was in disbelief. I have a customer service background and coming across people such as Lillian make me question how do they have a job. Bottom line though, these two ladies need a serious class in basic manners and customer service. Hopefully, they have handled other customers' complaints in a professional and cordial manner. This review had to be posted so that this location and others are aware and the location takes initiative to make changes. I will be returning back to the store to make sure my points were added to my account (they told me it only happens on my next purchase). read more

When I'm on the west side of town this is where I come to get vitamins, protein bars/powder, or whatever else I need. They have a huge selection of protein bars, powder, pre workout, vitamins, minerals, herbs, and many other items. The employees are friendly and will help you find what you need. read more

After looking at the previous review, I was skeptical about coming here but...I went in with a knowledge of what I wanted but knew I'd also need to pick someone's brain about some specific needs. Allow me to preface this with these statements: I have been using supplements, vitamins, etc for several years and, more often than not have had poor experiences with this chain. I had been utilizing Super Supplements in Lakewood and Olympia, WA, where the staff are absolutely AMAZING!! All that being said... The staff here, at THIS store, are very friendly and very knowledgeable. The young woman who helped me readily sought out the advice from a more knowledgeable staff member regarding MY needs vs. pushing a product "that really works". She was also able to assist me with finding a safe alternative for an "energy booster/supplement" for my son. What she suggested was effective for him. These staffers made my shopping experience enjoyable and hassle free. It was good to hear/know that the staff utilize the products they sell, too, not just sell them. THANK YOU! Y'all are AWESOME!!! I have been shopping at this location for over a year. The store manager is a great guy who is always respectful and welcoming when entering his store. I have been shopping at vitamin shoppe since I was in high school and this is by far the best one with the best customer service. Being a former NFL athlete i usually get treated nice but this store seems more real with hospitality. Its not for show with them its heart felt. They are also very knowledgeable in nutrition which helps a lot. One of the worst things is to enter into a nutrition shop and the employee barely knows nutrition. At this store you get great customer service and great knowledge of nutrition. Literally the complete package in shopping for supplements. read more
