For such a teeny store, this store has the best employees and manager I have seen in a retail store. The manager was not only extremely helpful, but the employees were as well! There was not one person who walked into that store yesterday that did not leave happy and helped! Awesome, knowledgeable employees, ready to help with anything they are able to. We purchased protein powder and pre-workout yesterday at the Dublin location. Called the store on lone tree to help with 20% off coupon that couldn't be applied. Manager at the store called us liars and refused to help us. He also stated that we could not return a different store's purchase at their location. WRONG!!! AGAINST WHAT THE WEBSITE SAYS! Went to the store after calling corporate and the store still refused to complete the adjustment for us and when we asked them to return and repurchase we were told the coupon would not apply to our purchase. I was able to apply the coupon online with no issue so I returned the product in store and repurchased online and grabbed it right back from the cashier. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!! For starters the cashier couldn't scan my case of drinks. He said I was paying for each one individually even though it was a case and no discount for buying the case. Which is fine, I asked if I can return the rest of the bottle if I didn't like it he said no. So I asked to return it incase I didn't like the flavor. He assumed I was paying with card and was grunting because he had to redo the transaction because I had cash. He could of asked first. Vitamins are for suckers. Eat right and you don't need them. Just makes for expensive urine most of the time anyway. Whether or you not you belive that, the Vitamin Shoppe has A LOT of cool stuff. I happen to go there my one and only time to get some Probiotics my doctor recommended I take for a while. When I stepped inside the door, I realized they actually have a lot of products grouped and labeled for many kinds of needs. They supplements for just about everything! They are well organized and easy to find. They do ask you if you need help finding anything too. Only thing I'd change is I'd make it a bit brighter inside. I wasn't scared or anything though! It's just a little dark near the back of the store. I'm a bit of a knuckle-dragger dude, so for me personally, I'd say this place has what you need if you're living a very atheletic life style or you have a medical need. The 1 star rating is purely on the interaction with the cashier. I made sure to save the receipt so I could come back with my review. I basically knew what I was getting, didn't ask questions, went to pay for the item and the young lady who rang me up was awful. I've been coming there for years even though prices are high, I feel like I pay for what I get. Great products, clean organized store, and I'm in and out. I do try to support local stores in my area but sheesh I could've easily gotten the particular item from Amazon without the coldness of the cashier. Customer service is hard, I get it. I just moved to the area and this Vitamin Shoppe is the closest one to my house. Usually when I walk in to a VS I'm usually greeted, and helped... This was not the case today. There was a man named Rick, and another employee who was helping a customer as I walked in. Rick did not even look at me when I walked in. I grabbed what I needed but I had a question about testosterone boosters and taking them with the other supplement that I was purchasing. After the employee on the floor was done helping the customer he was assisting, I asked him if he could help me. He said he didn't know anything about testosterone boosters and that Rick could maybe help me. He asked Rick if he was busy could help me and he said, Yes, he was busy...he looked away and I said, "I have a question about T Boosters."He ignored me for a brief moment and then looked at us and said, Ok, what do you wan?"...Disregarding the fact that I, as a customer and had an important question. He acted as if me and the employee I asked was disrupting him. Rick, looks at me and says rudely, " I don't know anything about testosterone boosters," and brushes me off. I was so pissed off at that point the way I was treated, I just told him you know what never mind I'll look it up on the Internet. I almost walked out but I needed these products. I had to call a friend of mine to help me who used to work at another store. I used to go to GNC because they were not knowledgeable about their products unless they were promoting them. I started shopping at vitamin shop because the employees would help me considerably and if they didn't have the answers they would help me find them either online or whatsoever. As I well know where the item(s) were, obtained them & upon placing them on the counter was informed I am to scan them, which I did. I must admit. I resisted this place for the longest time. Why? So many things... "This place is a mock GNC who think they're way better." "I don't need supplements. Supplements are nuts anyways. They're only for dudes." "All this crap that dudes waste their money on to look bigger. Ridiculous." Well, I've been coming in here a few times a month against my will thanks to Lovie who gets his sugar free Steaz, a natural energy drink, various protein powders, creatine powder, amino acid powder, and what-have-you from here. Then lo and behold, I found myself coming here on my own last week. Yes. After a grueling boot camp workout last week, I was left feeling crazy sore. It was to a point where I couldn't walk straight! Afraid of skipping a day or two of training, I turned to an alternative. Miss I-Don't-Need-Supplements came in here to get a small bottle of L-glutamine, an amino acid which is said to repair muscles faster and speed muscle recovery. To my surprise, it worked wonders and I was back to my normal self within the next day or two. I was also able to get my Burt's Bees orange face cleanser, which is pretty hard to find. They actually have a great selection of natural beauty products here. I'll be coming back more often with Lovie or not. I have some mixed feelings on this place. The PROS: it's clean, and they have a ton of things you can't find elsewhere. I love how they have organics, natural items and aromatherapy. I usually purchase my BCAA's, protein, probiotics and some other things as I'm a gym rat lol. This place is A LOT cheaper than max muscle and GNC and like I said... They have so many cool items here... The CONS: my main issue is the little Asian girl who is supposedly the manager... Very rude to me! I asked if she had any samples of pre workout supplements that I could have and her reply with attitude was... "Yah... But I can't give you any" LOL then you might as well lie to me and say you don't have any! So then I had to go back in the store because she forgot to ring up my coQ10... And then I asked the guy the same question and he very politely said yes and gave me 2 samples! Other than that I wish the employees would have more knowledge about their products and maybe just ask if I needed any help... This place used to be good when the girl with the tattoos was the manger but I think she no longer works there. Walked in a few days ago with my wife.. I was looking for a new preworkout so I asked the older lady (manager) that was standing at the register, If they have a coupon where it takes 20% off any purchase of 30 or more. She asked me if I had the coupon with me I said no but I remember the code. She said sorry I can't do that because it will take my system 1 hour to process the discount.. wait what ? Lmao.. no it does not but she kept telling me that she can't do it and looked at me like I was stupid. So I called the pleasant hill store and asked if I could come in and get my discount as they said yes. Walked in got the product, guy typed in the code at the register and it took 10 seconds lol.. I used to like this place in Antioch but the people have changed and customer service has been inferior. My go-to for all my bodybuilding supplements unless Costco has it cheaper. Vitamin Shoppe has most of everything for your bodybuilding needs or just vitamins and more. Cheaper than GNC or other vitamin stores. Employees are very friendly and plenty of them if you have any questions. I think his name is Cruz(spelling), very helpful employee. My whole family go here for all our supplements and Cruz has helped every single one. Tip: get a rewards card, it will benefit you. When approached they are very unenthusiastic and give you the impression that you are bothering them by making them do their job. I've been shopping at this location for many years. I have always preferred it to any of the GNC stores. But the last couple of visits have been disappointing and tonight is probably going to cause me to look elsewhere. I went in at 7pm and the place was empty. The gentleman working was bringing items out of the back and never showed any interest in helping me. I finally approached him and let him know I had some questions. He didn't have any knowledge of any of the products I was inquiring about and still had that lack of interest attitude. Sure, they have a good selection, but think twice before shopping here. What they fail to tell you is, once you buy a product, if opened, it's yours! It doesn't matter if their sales rep recommend the product, if it made you sick to your stomach, or it you try to return it within hours after buying it. Nope, none of that matters.
