The Vista Barber Company was opened six years ago and they're located in Vista, between Carlsbad and San Marcos. Though I'm not a local, I came in at my wife's insistence as she wanted me to clean up before we saw the family. They were well staffed on this weekend day and I was able to get helped with a short wait. My barber was very friendly, the cut was clean, and my wife was happy. They do have a preference for cash, but they say that they can take cards that can tap. This place was professional and I'd definitely consider coming back if I'm in the area. read more

Walked in wanting a simple haircut and walked out looking like a clown. I think the guy who cut me didn't really know how to cut hair since he cut my hair all lopsided with one side having too much and the other having way too little. The dude who cut me also burned my head twice with the hairdryer. I literally winced in pain the first time and audibly yelled "ouch" but he did it again after that. When I took a look at my hair after returning home, I noticed that there was a chunk of hair missing on top of my head where he accidentally cut too much off with the razor. I'm not one to leave reviews but this was genuinely one of the worst haircuts I've gotten and I'm pretty disappointed by the whole experience. read more

Mid morning Monday, I walked in for my first visit and I spoke to Patti. I requested a senior cut, short sides with a fade. She was very kind and professional and did my haircut perfectly as I requested. Cash only here, but I will make my next appointment with Patti for sure! Honestly wasn't going to make a review but I finally got the worst haircut ever. The guy was new and i feel bad making this review but i really got screwed over. I showed the barber a photo/video of the haircut i wanted and it looked nothing like the photo. His hair clipper was super loud, it would give anyone tinnitus. He made my sideburns pretty much nonexistent and buzzed a bit of the left side of my hairline so i have tiny hairs sticking out. I asked to cut the top even shorter than he left it as TWICE and it looked the same. At that point i gave up and left. I still left a tip because i rescheduled and felt bad for it. read more

So I've been going to this barbershop for about 2 years. So this is a well deserved review as I've not had to wait for the two days to get over a bad haircut once. I've probably had a haircut from everyone in that shop at least once so I can recommend all of them for a decent good quality Saturday day night look good cut . The environment is clean and good conversation all around. Other shops smell like a dispensary and you wouldn't want to take your kids to , not here. I'm totally happy with my choice to walk through the doors of this business and get a cut!!! When you walk out the door you feel like an off duty Hollywood actor!!! read more

Great classic style barber shop with modern twist. Haircut from Art was perfect and staff is very friendly. Consistently busy, call ahead for availability. Cash only. $30 for standard haircut is a very fair price for about an hour of their time. Definitely going to return. read more

Marcos. He saved this review from being a 3. We waited for close to 30 minutes past the appointment we scheduled online. We were getting pretty impatient tbh, but the wait was well worth it - Marcos was taking his time being meticulous with his craft and we appreciate that. This shop is a lil out of the way for us, but if we are around the way again ... we will definitely stop in for another cut. The vibe is a lil odd .. not what I'm used to with other shops. Each barber sort of kept to themselves and their clients. It wasn't an issue, but not the usual uplifting, chatty vibe I've experienced. read more

Beware of price gouging. They post cuts cost $30+ but in reality, that means $50 for a cut with no wash, not even a great cut for the money. Also, they don't tell you it's cash only when you make an appointment so you're forced to use their ATM and pay an extra fee. Never going back! read more

So check it out I've been bouncing around vista barber shops for a over a month I get my weekly haircuts so I've tried a few now. I have to say I am most impressed with this barbershop the two gentlemen working were friendly and greeted me when I walked in apologized for the wait since there were a 4 people in front of me. But once I was in the chair the barber was good for a conversation and gave a great fade. Plus this place was super clean they used compressed air to blow the hair away from there stations then swept between cuts and cleaned there clippers as well here in vista that's not common that's why I add it. Definitely will return. read more

Patti is incredible. It is difficult to find a great barber in San Diego, and this shop is worth traveling from downtown to. The haircuts I received from Patti are the best I've had since moving from New York City. She even remembered me after my scheduled appointment was a month later! Highly recommend! read more

This is exactly what South Vista needs! I walked in with my three and a half year old son two minutes before closing and without hesitation Art said, "come on in."
