I walked into the office and saw it was a bit crowded, but I found a seat and cracked open a magazine. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. But all the while, I saw the receptionists and nurses treating people with great respect and thanking them for their patience. I was eventually called back to meet with Dr. Evans. He answered all of my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand, and worked with me until we got my prescription just right. I walked out of the office feeling like the folks there genuinely cared about me. And, of course my prescription fits perfect, and my contacts are very comfortable. I would highly recommend this office to anyone in DeFuniak or the surrounding area.

Once past the rude "welcomless" desk of black clad employees, the experience was more pleasant and attentive including the optometrist, but after the examination, the staff again became curt and appeared rushed and bothered. I am displeased with my lenses I received. I have worn corrective glasses for 50 years and know when the lenses are misaligned. Because the person peeping to order new lenses was in such a rush when getting the proper measurements for the lenses I believe they were ordered incorrectly. I know they will not be bothered by such a survey since they primarily deal with Medicare clients, but I will not grace their door again.

Dr Rutting told wife she had crystalized cataracts(!) and needed surgery, No other exams elsewhere where her Dr had said that the need for cataracts was at all urgent; so she when went to another major eye clinic: Doctor there said that yes, the cataracts were not a problem yet and may never require surgery. 2. Tech put excessive eye drops in one of her eyes such that it was still blurry the next day - when she called, clinic told her Dr Ruttig would not be available to look at it until the following week, so call back then. No offer of neutralizing drops.

Family Eye Center did not just pass him off. They schedule him to see a specialist where he found out one of the holes was leaking. If he had waited much longer he could have lost vision in that eye.
