I was contacted by email in less than 24 hrs to let me know that new patients weren't being accepted until July, but that I could go into a wait list for potential cancellations. Less than 24 hrs later I got a call from the office to let me know two slots had opened up the next day. I saw others give low reviews on google for their communication turn around so I wanted to be sure to note that I had a very prompt response time from the office. The morning of, we had an appt at 9, but weren't seen until 9:30. All things considered, this office opens at 7 and I understand that things can back up if kids are having a tough time and appts before us took longer than anticipated. I appreciated the front desk letting me know the situation and that they in turn appreciated my patience as we waited for a chair to open for my daughters cleaning. Once we were called back, the appt itself was AMAZING. Big shout out to the dental hygienist who worked w my 6 year old. My daughter has an aversion to the water pick and suction tube and asked if she could please use a cup of water and an empty cup to spit it out when she needed to rinse her mouth. She was kindly and easily accommodated and the cleaning went by without incident. This was the first time my daughter let a hygienist use an electric toothbrush, floss, count and clean teeth and FINALLY take x-rays after 2 years of meltdowns at previous offices/attempts. The hygienist was very clear and kind, always letting my daughter know what to expect in a kid friendly way, reading cues to ask my daughter if she needed to pause and take some deep breaths , and listening to my daughter to work together for a great cleaning and x-Ray experience. My daughter loved that she could watch a movie during her appt. Very thankful to have found this office.

The treatment plan in Niceville was more reasonable. My responsibility was $4,196.25, which I paid at that time. On December 2, I underwent the extraction of all my teeth and was provided with a set of healing dentures. Unfortunately, they did not fit properly and caused numerous oral sores, necessitating the removal of the lower denture due to excessive pain. I have been unable to wear the lower dentures since December. Eating has become a challenging experience. My diet consists primarily of soup for several months. I have lost interest in many of my favorite foods. I have refrained from dining out, as it is an embarrassing and humiliating experience. Additionally, I now speak with a lisp. I underwent three adjustments, but the night before my fourth adjustment, I received a call canceling my appointment. When I inquired about the reason, I was informed that they could not treat me until I paid my balance. I was surprised to learn that I still owed $5,420.23. I do not have the funds to pay this balance and have charged the $4,200 + that I had already paid. Since December 2, I have been unable to eat a normal meal. I requested a refund, but it was denied by Randall, the office manager. I am concerned about the breach of their peace of mind promise and money-back guarantee. I had received a clear and detailed treatment plan in writing, ensuring that I was fully informed of the financial implications. I had also discovered several online groups, such as "Stop Aspen Dental" and "Aspen Dental True Stories," where I found numerous similar experiences, some even more severe, across the United States. This situation raises concerns about bait-and-switch tactics, deception, and predatory practices. The embarrassment and humiliation I have experienced, even around my husband, are overwhelming. We hit the jackpot! Every step in the process from booking an appointment, filling out the electronic forms, COVID screening, handling insurance claims, to the exam and cleaning was flawless. Dr. Ottesen is a true professional with an impeccable bedside (chair-side) manner to match. Her staff is also a reflection of what kind of practice she runs and I was blown away by the competency, efficiency, and kindness of everyone. The Ottesen team completed my 3 year olds first exam and she couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had at the dentist. I have had many cleanings and at times had my teeth cleaned up to 4 times a year. Recently I had what I would call a dental emergency and was not willing to wait over a week to get an appointment. Finding Dr. Broutin was a good thing. He had me in his chair within 24 hours and considering the pain I was in was required. I'm sure there are many great dentists out there but there were several things about him that stood out from the other dentists I have associated with through the years. 1st. He got me in quickly and the appointment time was right . I was in the chair at the appointed time. 2nd He had and used digital x-rays that showed the (my) problem on a 15 inch LCD TV screen. I became informed as to what the problem was. I could see it. A picture is worth a thousand words. 3rd He took the time to talk about the problem and the options available. Close -up digital pictures were taken and I could see for myself that what was explained was in fact accurate. 4th. He tries to save teeth. Which he did. He takes personal pride in doing so. He gave me a time line as to what I could expect with another looming tooth issue. Which I was completely unaware of even after having a cleaning and a complete set of x-rays taken 40 days earlier at another dental office. 5th The work was excellent. I was back to chewing steak on both sides of my mouth within days. I needed no readjustment as has been common in my past. In closing... If I had stayed under the care of the dentist I had been going to I would have lost ( in my opinion) 2 important jaw teeth. I am grateful to Dr. Broutin and his staff for saving those 2 teeth . The Dr. has my trust and respect. AND I have not received any discount or special rate for writing this review nor do I expect or desire any.

He explains exactly what he recommends be done and explains all your options fully. I love the ability to see after he is done working on my teeth, actual shots on the tv screen of each step of the process. A picture is worth a thousand words when it comes to seeing the actual condition of your dental work. I came to Dr. Broutin after I was unsatisfied with my last dentist of 2 years who I felt was unresponsive to my concerns about the fit of a crown for over a year and other nagging problems. Dr. B. was able to determine the reason for the problems and fix them after my first visit. His office staff is wonderful and friendly and have always been able to get me in quickly whenever it was necessary. Although I have only seen Dr. B for regular dental work, I would not hestitate to have cosmetic dentistry done in the future.
