Found this gem on our way to Glasgow from Dunnottar. Great service and great food. Small dining area and quaint decor that highlights the antiquity and charm of this old building and historic town.
Make reservations of possible as this place is very popular with the locals and everyone that came in knew the wait staff and walked straight to their tables as if this is a weekly tradition. We got lucky someone graciously offered their table and eat in the small lounge area to enjoy their drinks.
Food was amazing. I ordered chicken curry and was not disappointed. Great quality for a small unassuming restaurant in the Scottish countryside. Those I was with started more traditional and ordered pies, they all commented that the good was great.
Highly recommend of you can make this a planned stop between major cities/attractions as you cruise through the countryside. read more
