All sites are relatively flat with beautiful trees around! !!

This is our second trip to the Views. It is a beautiful RV park !! Soooo clean ! Great showers, laundry, common areas to sit and BBQ ! THIS PARK HAS IT ALL!!! GREAT LOCATION TOO!

Trying to keep it short, but hard to since this place has it all... 1. It is a newer RV park so sites are level, spacious, and very well planned. 2. The location of hook-ups is great for eveyone because they are not at the front or the back so extensions are not needed. 3. Sewer hook-up is actually treaded, no rock needed to hold in place. 4. No coin operated timed communal showers. All private and beautiful. 5. Glamping tents for car campers. 6. Large outdoor kitchen on site for anyone who wants it with tables and BBQ's, views, Wifi. Matt and Wendy even provided a printout with local must see ideas easily accessible from this park. Super friendly hosts who have tried to make the annoying aspects of a RV park go away.

Nice shady spot

Full disclosure, we weren't planning on staying here originally. We had planned to stay in the national forest but a fire forced us to move further west. We were so glad we stayed at the Views. The location is really perfect if you are here to see Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients, Cortez, the four corners, or the reservoir. It's only 45 mins to Durango from here and super convenient to almost anywhere you want to see. The camp site was level, shaded and had full hook ups. Our site was only a few steps from amazing views of the mountains, Cortez, and the valley below. You really cant go wrong at any of sites, though the lower loop was my favorite and seemed more shaded. They also have tent areas, and the restrooms were spotless. Literally one of the cleanest showers I've seen. Although relatively new as a campground, Matt and his wife really know what they are doing. When we checked in they gave us homemade cookies and escorted us to the site. You really cant find a nicer private campground. We will definitely stay here again!

We are truly blown away by The Views! The property is pristine - the bathrooms are as clean as a 5 star resort! The glamping tent was better than I had even dreamed! The owners have such an attention to detail. From the pour over coffee setup to the great mattress, you can tell they poured their hearts in to this place! Not to mention, the view from our back porch was stunning, especially at sunset! However, the most impressive thing about The Views is the hospitality! Matt was so kind when we arrived a little late in the day and had 5 million questions! He treated our boys like celebrities with golf cart rides around the park and his undivided attention. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of! We LOVED this place and will make it a point to come back!!

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at The Views and it's been awesome every time, Matt and Wendy are fantastic hosts and have great suggestions for things to see and do in the area. The sites are big and the entire park is well maintained. The bathrooms and laundry room are clean and neat and inviting to use.

Pulled in late last night and found a spot right away. It was perfectly level for our trailer and RTT. Immaculate facilities!! Most modern place we've stayed. Brand new and nicely done. Spots are spacious and well spaced. The owners are on site during the day and super friendly. We got recommendations for coffee shops, attractions along our route, and made friends with Guinness the dog. An awesome way to start our Colorado adventure!! Highly recommended. Don't pass up the complimentary peanut butter cookies.

This was such a wonderful spot for our family. Beautiful views, close to Dolores and Durango. Matt was such a great host that was always available to answer questions about the area. Clean spacious bathrooms, cute, cute outdoor area and such cute glamping areas! We will definitely be coming back!!!

Amazing! We never want to leave! The owners are super friendly and the park is pristine. The bathrooms are huge and so are the showers. Our kids, 12 and 16 don't want to go home! We rented paddle boards and had a great morning at the reservoir just 2 min away. Also well named because the views are spectacular! The sites are well spaced and extremely clean and flat. Easy, clean hook-ups. I'm sure we'll be back. A hidden gem in Colorado where you forget what's going on in the rest of the world. Thank you for your hospitality!

Met this guy too!

Fabulous hosts/owners, & amazing views! The RV spaces are over sized with lots of trees & privacy. The bathrooms & showers are large with plenty of space, including a table for make up & accessories, & a bench to put your bag close to the shower, & turned heaters are all a plus! We had a blow out & other road issues that put us 3 hours behind schedule & Matt (the owner) was so understanding & allowed us a late check in. Waited up on us & greeted us in his golf cart & drove us to our site. Super kind & understanding of our issues. Loved that! The grounds themselves are fabulous. There's a gorgeous pavilion with nearby games like horse shoes & corn hole. Gorgeous views & glamming rents are also available. Super cute! Due to COVID our trip to Cali was cancelled, so this was an impromptu get away in our vintage travel trailer, & we couldn't be happier about the RV park we chose. I highly recommend you checking it out! Lots to do nearby, & friendly folks and very where!

We are on day 47 of a 60+ day road trip. We reserved a spot at "The Views" and we absolutely love it. The sites are well spaced with lots of privacy. The views are absolutely spectacular with amazing sunrises & sunsets. This is one of our favorite campgrounds of our entire trip so far. We will definitely be back & we highly recommend this campground.

Very quiet & peaceful campground! We could see other campers, but at night all we could hear from…read moreour tent was the river. Also the facilities were very, very clean. HOT WATER!! And it was fun to take a shower outside. We spent a little time fishing in their private pond. We caught 3 bass and (somehow) 2 crayfish! The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Even weeks before we arrived they were very helpful, and easy to contact for info and advise, to help plan our trip. If I could give it 10 stars I would! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

August 14-16 2026 - Dolores, CO…read more I booked what was listed on the website as a "riverfront" RV site, so I was disappointed to arrive and discover that our site was actually next to a pond--not the river. And unfortunately, pondfront also meant "mosquito central" The RV park itself is nice enough, quiet, and our particular site was pleasant (aside from the whole "riverfront" issue and the mosquitos). But if a site is advertised as riverfront, I think guests should reasonably expect to actually be on the river. We also happened to be parked next to the property adjacent to the RV park, where some kind of pump ran continuously. It wasn't terribly loud, but it was noticeable and took away from the otherwise peaceful setting. The river itself was another disappointment, although that's certainly not the park's fault. Due to this year's rain and runoff, the river was a muddy brown rather than the beautiful river I had expected. I'm not sure whether that's typical for August or simply a result of this year's weather. On the plus side, the park was clean and well maintained, the restrooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the surrounding mountain views were beautiful. Overall, it's a nice, quiet RV park--but if you're specifically booking a "riverfront" site, I'd recommend confirming exactly what you're getting before you arrive.

This was by far the WORST stay I've ever had in any motel across the country. The person running…read morethe desk, John, was absolutely wasted drunk and inexcusably horrible to me. All I wanted was to point out our window latch was broken when we checked into our room. Out of nowhere and without provocation, he starts using profanity at me and yelling and screaming and cussing and name calling saying that "you're a p**sy for bringing that up" I told him it wasn't a big deal. But he wanted to kick me out over it. When I told him never mind and start walking away from him, he yells at me in the parking lot "F*** YOU P***SY!" The sheriff and cops were called as he started threatening me over literally nothing. The other motel staff protected us with a baseball bat to make sure he wouldn't hurt us as we were packing up to leave. He was black out drunk and should not even be working in that state. I can't believe the owner would let someone like him run the motel. I still have a sick feeling in my stomach over it. I hope John is fired and banned from Dolores. I want to thank Kathleen and the other nice lady and gentlemen who helped to keep us safe and protected from John. Lana, if you are reading this. FIRE JOHN NOW

One Star - Outrageous Host Behavior, Unprofessional, and Discriminatory…read more I stayed at Outpost Motel on the River in July 2025. After being treated poorly and forced out of our room despite a verbal agreement to extend our stay, I emailed the property to calmly and respectfully explain the issue and offer a solution. I've included this link (https://photos.app.goo.gl/cnfiqJrszczcjswE9) to a copy of my full email so you can see exactly what I said. I was polite, reasonable, and offered the property a chance to resolve the situation. In response, I was sent one of the most hostile, abusive, and unprofessional emails I have ever seen. I've attached her response in full so you can read her exact words. She called me a "dumb fuck" and told me to "fuck off," all while claiming to run a "family joint." I'm not sure what kind of family she's referring to, but I wouldn't want mine anywhere near that environment. I am a person in recovery with nearly seven years of sobriety. Her false accusations and dehumanizing language were deeply retraumatizing, stigmatizing, and harmful--and this kind of treatment is dangerous for anyone, especially those in recovery. I've also included time-stamped photos of the room as we left it: clean, undamaged, and not remotely what she falsely described. I've reported her conduct to Booking.com and submitted all supporting documentation. This is not just a case of bad customer service. It's a case of blatant hostility, discrimination, and verbal abuse. I'm sharing this review to protect future travelers--especially those in recovery or anyone who expects basic human decency.

Over the phone, they confirmed that was okay and told us to "just call them back when we arrived to receive an access code". Then, when we arrived around 7 pm, we called the same number as instructed and we got no answer (we also called the help line and got no response). We got no email instructions past the initial 5 pm check in instructions and weren't even told what cabin we were staying in. We had to drive and find somewhere else to stay at 8 pm that night since we couldn't get into the cabin. We were really disappointed as we were really excited about the cabin we had booked. However, the next day, we called back to get a refund and after a lengthy conversation with a very kind receptionist, we learned that there was in fact a key box (hidden) that we were supposed to be told about. We then left our number for the manager who was supposed to call us back the next day when she was back in the office. It's been a few weeks now and we never received any sort of call, email, or text from anyone on the team further reviewing our request for a refund. We're just really disappointed, since as college students, we don't have money to just give away willy nilly and were really looking forward to being able to stay in what seemed to be a really nice, affordable place as a treat to ourselves. I would only say this place works if you know that you won't have any issues or need any sort of help throughout your stay as the communication was the main issue with our stay. Overall, I am just really sad to have to leave this review but we feel like it's all we can really do.

Nice little rv resort to stay at. Just finished a 5 night stay in a cabin…read more The campground itself is nice, there's a pond behind it followed by the river. There's definitely some good shady spots on the campground with the shade which is nice. It has bathrooms and a laundry and a little shop. The cabin itself is nice, although I did have a couple of gripes about it. But first for the nice parts. 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom. It was nice and clean and kept up. Good size kitchen. It's an old stove/oven with electric top so just something to keep in mind. It's rustic looking too. For the negatives I have 2. The MAIN negative for me and the 3 others I stayed with is no A/C at all. I understand it gets cold here in other parts of the year, but when I went, mid July, it's almost 100 degrees outside and it gets really toasty in the cabin, to the point where you're sweating and it's uncomfortable. Just a little window a/c unit would go a long way here. I'd be willing to pay more for the cabin for the a/c unit too. When you're outside in the heat all day, it would be nice to come back to a cabin that has a/c to get some relief. And the other negative is the mattress. Suuuuper springy. Me and my wife laying in the bed and it's springiness had us both rolling into the middle of the bed all night, every night. And the couch mattress is all springs too. Besides that everything is good, just beware of all the mosquitoes that are here, there's a ton so bring bug spray!
