They are somewhat strict about alcohol, but hardly unreasonably so, and I doubt this should pose any issue for most people. All our communication was very straightforward, and we always received prompt replies when we had questions or concerns. We and our guests had a wonderful time, and we wouldn't hesitate to work with them again!

The property is beautifully maintained and the staff is kind & helpful. I'd consider this venue more of a natural (beautiful landscape) & classier location rather than a party spot. There are plenty of scenic locations for photography and the pavilion is great for hosting guests. Overall, I'd highly recommend River Edge B&B as long as you treat the venue with respect & follow the rules of the owners. Regarding rules - They are the same as other outdoor venues I've been to: No outside alcohol, City noise restrictions, treat the property with respect. I attended a reception here, and that sealed the deal for me entirely. They really advertise for a much better experience than what is given in reality, including "on-Site and Transportation to and from the venue," which means that if equipment breaks down (and it did) that you are left waiting to pile onto a bus whenever they can get one to your guests. Walking into the space, all I could see was an awful slab floor. It looked as if they were still in renovation stage or something. Just awful. Your guests get one little coat rack that looks as if they bought it online, and it's in a back hallway as you make your way to the restrooms. It's a cramped space and I wonder why this place was so poorly built, but then I remembered what I call the 'benefactor factor,' and it became more and more clear. The only way that this place becomes "gorgeous," as it's been referred to in other posts, is if you spend a ton of money with a trained event professional (outside and separate cost, of course) to beautify it. Otherwise, you have a small room with a slab floor to work with. The only redeeming quality of the place is the outside deck.

This is a nature lover's paradise for kids and counselors alike…read more This center is a big part of my family. My brother went since he was 8 years old until he was a teenager. He then was a counselor in his early to late 20s. My brother and my SIL are an integral part of this community. My niece and nephew have been and still go most summers for 1-2 week stays every year and many other events throughout the year too. The counselors here are amazing, friendly, such great support systems for the kids, emotionally, psychologically. They push the kids to participate in social activities as groups and be their own ambassador and fully partake among nature. The center fosters community, communication, openness, cooperative learning and lifelong experiences. It's a great platform and place for kids to become more independent and to help them build lasting relationships too. The counselors are there to help guide the kids and be there if needed.
