As far as the policies go, I genuinely don't understand why people act surprised by cancellation fees or no refund policies when everything is explained beforehand. Service providers reserve that time specifically for you. If someone cancels last minute or decides they don't want to follow the policy afterward, that provider still lost money and time they could've spent with another client. It's literally like showing up to work and not getting paid. Most people working in beauty/spa services are commission-based, so those losses come directly out of their pocket. One thing I respected was learning that they even give clients a one-time courtesy in certain situations, which honestly is more than a lot of businesses would do. What people choose to do with that courtesy is on them -- whether they appreciate it, waste it, or try to take advantage of it. In my opinion, if a business gives you grace the first time, the right response is to be thankful for it, not expect it every single time afterward. They were also really understanding with me when I needed to reschedule once because of a family emergency. They easily could've enforced the cancellation policy, but instead they worked with me and helped me rebook without making me feel bad about it. That experience alone showed me they're not these "strict evil people" some reviews try to make them seem like -- they just expect basic respect for their time and business, which is completely fair. A lot of these providers work on commission, so expecting refunds after services or expecting policies not to apply is basically expecting the money to come directly out of their pocket. That's exactly why they clearly state their no refund and cancellation policies upfront. What I appreciate is that they've actually been very fair and understanding in my experience. The first time I ever had to cancel, they could've charged me the cancellation fee, but they completely waived it for me even though that money would've come out of the provider's pocket. They've always been accommodating whenever possible, and I've personally never had an issue. At the end of the day, when I book an appointment, I understand that I'm responsible for that appointment. They also make it extremely easy to remember with text reminders, email reminders, confirmations, etc. Everything is communicated clearly ahead of time, which I appreciate. Beyond that, the results are always worth it. The team is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and makes clients feel comfortable from start to finish. I am giving the Vanity room 5 Stars for exceeding my expectations. I got a candle wax massage and let me tell you it was amazing! It came with a complimentary foot scrub and I got to choose my own candle wax scent. The candle wax perfectly warm, not too hot, and smelled so good. When I first entered I was taken away by the beautiful and Zen ambiance of the place. It was so clean and smelled really good. I was offered beverages and received one of the best massages I have ever gotten ,by Nikki. She was amazing, so professional, and nice. She listened to me talk about my vigorous and physically demanding job. I had a lot of problems with tightness in the muscles on my back, arms, and shoulder blade areas. She managed to get my knots out and I felt so great after it was over. The next day I noticed a very significant change in my back and I felt so good.
