I had to rush up to Vestal NY for a one night stay. I don't know anything about the college town,…read moreand also do not want to see *beer kegs coming through the front door. I need my sleep so I chose Tru by Hilton Binghamton Vestal. I'm basing my hotel selection on: Free Breakfast Colorful lobby Smoking is permitted out front After checking in, I pretty much hung my clothes and went out to dinner. After dinner, I went back to the hotel and lit up a nice cigar. The next morning, I woke up refreshed. The bed was comfortable, the shower products were very good but this hotel doesn't believe in giving out bar soap? Yeah.. I travel with a bar from L'Occitane so these silly rules don't apply to me. I woke up, poured myself a cup of coffee from the free breakfast bar. I see families coming down and enjoying the breakfast selections. I'm sure they're here for a graduation or visiting a student. Nice hotel, I would stay here again. *If I see a beer keg, I'm pouring myself some of your beer while I smoke.

Beware : "stuff happens."…read more Our stay began by walking in to a beautiful lobby which was really exciting. The lady at the front desk was nice. We get off the elevator - the hallway is GROSS! It smells. There is a used bandaid on the floor by our room and crumbs all over the hallway. Absolutely disgusting. The room is tiny...not even a closet. Hooks on the wall and a hanging rod for clothes. Desk is so small cannot be used to do work. Had a good night sleep BUT go to breakfast the next day and get back and can't get into our room. Connor, at the front desk, resets the key and apologizes for the inconvenience. Still doesn't work. He calls the General Manager. No luck. Waiting and waiting and waiting. They need to change the battery on the door. The key that overrides all issues didn't work. So frustrated at this time as missing events we came to Binghamton for. Instead we get to hang out in the hallway of a hotel in our pajamas waiting for their GM. Took over an hour to resolve. While we appreciate Connor's responsiveness, the GM's response was "stuff happens...you could get stuck in traffic" and was willing to take $20 off the bill to compensate us for our time. Whoo hoo - NOT! An hour later we finally get into the room to take a shower and the hot water is on and off. Guess we missed the hot water window. Beware while staff may be nice and responsive, "stuff happens" and their policy of "making it right" doesn't quite cut it.

Easy and fast check in and check out. Beds were comfortable and pretty firm. Pet friendly for a $10 fee which was great. You do need to make sure you reserve a pet friendly room in advance if you need one. Free, no frills continental breakfast. Not a lot there but better than nothing. Not a bad place to stay for a night or two.

We went in to check in and were told the sign had been ripped up by a storm recently, fair enough. Then casually were told that the maintenance guy had quit because there were "too many things to fix" ok, slight red flag. Staff was friendly and checked us in and we went to the room. We were only staying one night, we were out in a first floor room right by the parking lot and the street. It was surprisingly quieter overnight than we thought it would be. As we unpacked, we noticed the electrical outlets by the bed were loose so anything we plugged into them would not charge. There was a usb port on the desk area that also did not work. We stopped at the "gym" and the one and only treadmill was out of order. No wonder the maintenance man quit. While these things weren't make or break our stay, they were kinda frustrating. The next morning we went to their breakfast area and were not impressed with the spread. Very little in the way of selection and once again, the equipment (waffle maker) was out of order. We checked out and again the staff was so friendly. Even for the price, I doubt we would stay here again.

My boyfriend has been telling me about this place for a while now and about how they have the best…read morechicken wings he's ever had. And here's the thing... I'm not a huge fan of chicken wings, but guys... Guys... GUUUUUUYS. The chicken wings here are legit DELICIOUS. The vibe of the restaurant is just chill and relaxed. It's clean, the service is great (the server took care of drink refills without us asking, checked back with us regularly & in a timely manner, and brought the items from our order out as they were ready), and the price point is great for what you get as well. We ordered 4 different kinds of wings - Cajun, Black Cherry Pepper BBQ, Carolina Gold (the star of the show), and Hot Honey Garlic. I'm a bit of a lightweight when it comes to heat, so I didn't try the Cajun... but I loved the bit of fruit flavor from the black cherry wings, and really enjoyed the bit of spice from the hot honey. Those Carolina Gold wings though... I would come back again and again for those alone. Consider me a chicken wing convert, I guess! ALSO... I almost forgot that we have the buffalo chicken eggrolls as an appetizer. Perfectly crunchy outer eggroll with delicious buffalo chicken inside. I'm not a bleu cheese gal (blasphemy with buffalo chicken, but I don't care), and the server brought a little side of ranch out for us to dip our eggrolls in. *chef's kiss* TL;DR GO. FOR. THE WINGS. Seriously... you're missing out if you don't. Get a bunch of flavors, share with friends (or eat them yourself - I won't judge), and wallow in the sauce-y goodness.

The vibe of this place is exactly what's needed in America. I wish there were more places like the Union Hotel. It looks so fun and funky, everything is clean and I'm being serious, it's clean! Fried cheese curds and fried pickles...if that's all we ordered we were already hooked! Then our wings came!!! Pry the sauces out of my hands, I had it on my face, up my arms, the wings were exactly what you beg for anywhere else!! The sweetest and most beautiful bartender was an absolute angel getting our drinks and food! Extremely conscientious and attentive during busy moments! We cannot wait to go back...it was a fantastic reminder of what we used to have local to us! 10/10 all the way around!

I don't usually write reviews, but this team deserves every bit of recognition I can give…read more In early April, my mother passed away unexpectedly. My husband and I booked a last-minute flight from Los Angeles. During my layover, I reserved a week's stay at the Hampton Inn in Johnson City online. We arrived late that evening, emotionally and physically drained. From the very first moment, the staff was extraordinary. The front desk agent was warm and empathetic, extended my reservation when availability was short, informed me I'd accidentally booked third-party, and made sure I received the bereavement rate. Our room was clean and ready. Breakfast was wonderful. Every staff member responded with kindness and care. What truly set this team apart: when I hesitantly asked if we could host a small post funeral reception in the hotel lobby, the answer was an immediate yes. I fully expected to be told no. The staff, led by manager Caitie Eberz, assured me the space was available and even offered to keep the coffee fresh. The staff stepped up to help in many areas: they stored our food platters without hesitation, placed a family member who flew in from the West Coast in the room directly across the hall from mine, helped me print my eulogy at 1 a.m. when I couldn't figure out the printer through my exhaustion, and after the reception, simply took the cleanup from my hands when I asked where the dumpster was. Every gesture made an enormous difference during this difficult time. My mother's death was unexpected, and while that week was filled with uncertainty and grief, the Hampton Inn team provided something I desperately needed: a sense of home and stability. Thank you to Caitie Eberz and every member of her team. You went above and beyond, and my family and I will never forget your kindness. Laura D.

They lured me in the hotel with free charging, covered the free tesla charger with a bag and refused to turn them on. They pointed me to the charger behind the hotel for $.70 cents per kWh.
