I have never had any issue with this location. The staff are quick to get the job done all while being nice while there. Generally I am 90% of the time returning something to Amazon, and the last 10% other services. Parking can be troublesome. But, it always seems to work out. Rude, unkind, unhelpful. The manager has a real attitude. And clearly doesn't have an issue criticizing a customer who mis-spoke and needed assistance, loud enough so they would be overheard and embarrassed. Just rude and has zero customer serve skills. I've been going to this location since it opened. Never again. Also not sure why you need 7 people standing around behind the counter and all not helping 1 customer. Went to do Amazon returns. Lady was very rude and cranky. Just drew box off scale(not mine was there before I walked up. One package the code box my printer cut off and said I can't do this. Generally will print codes easier than going back to app. Next time I will pull each one up in app(takes a hell of a lot longer the next time) I think all the UPS stored are same franchise so going to one on Geo Washington might be the same. read more

Went in yesterday had the representative Veronica to come to the counter. She was so rude and dismissive. Her attitude was so unnecessary and unprofessional. I did call the store and speak to the manager. she gave an apology and said she would remove Veronica from the front. I said I would go to another UPS store to complete my transaction. I shipped my artwork to Arkansas in February at UPS store 2442 that close to Kroger store at Newport News. The charge was $271 including shipping, packaging, and return label. Today I went to the same UPS store to ship the same size of artwork to Alabama. The charge was $164, including shipping charge, packaging, and return label. Logically it is not impossible there is difference of $100 for two shipments in such close two states. The possibility is the clerk for the first shipment miscalculating. I requested the refund to the manager. The manager just dismissed me. The clerk was rude and argued with me. They think the store is always right. All the faults are on the customers. it is an awful service and store. read more

Keosha is the real MVP!!! I've been to PLENTY of UPS stores from California to here, East and West Coast and I can honestly say I have NEVER dealt with a more skilled, efficient, multi-task master like Keosha! I was there today, a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend with zero wait and not only did she accurately and quickly scan all of my items...as other customers started to line up, she pulled out a tablet scanner to take care of those customers while I searched for my next QR code. She kept the the line from growing too long and I STILL HAD ZERO WAIT! Trust me, other customers were just as amazed as I was! On top of all of that, her customer services skills are top notch and she still maintained her friendly smile through it all. Your team is lucky to have her. Give her a raise!!! She certainly went above and beyond and it was evident that she takes pride in what she does and in providing the best customer experience. We need more Keosha's in the world...and at UPS! read more

Their computer is down and their staff is not helpful at all. Didn't get her name but the one wearing grey with short hair and glasses was specifically not helpful. Maybe trying to help customers rather than just saying nothing would help. I'm also 99% sure they didn't use any bubble wrap for our package or put the card in. I'm writing this as I'm standing here. This UPS store overcharges so much I couldn't believe it. They tried to charge me over one hundred dollars to ship a package that weighed 6.4lbs and contained no dangerous or hazardous items, claiming that the package would be too large (for 18"x18"x2" canvases that could be mailed separately or stacked into an 18"x18"x8" pile) and that it was going too far (Va to Co). Then they wanted to charge over two hundred dollars to mail a lamp for the same reasons. This isn't counting packaging or materials. I would absolutely recommend shipping with the FedEx up the road - save yourself the money and the frustration of being scalped to mail a package. read more

Read this before using this store. I would not trust this store to package important items and get it to their destination. It was my first and only time using this store to pack three important items. Only 2 items arrived and the box was 2 days late. I called and the UPS store representative said the 3rd item was sitting on her desk. It had somehow gotten separated from the other 2. I am very disappointed with this experience. read more

Came here during the holiday rush and I almost didn't go in because the line was insane, but it took maybe 2-3 minutes to move through the line and finish my transaction. They had full staff there which helped move the line along and everyone was very friendly and efficient read more

I had the WORST experience at the UPS store in Yorktown VA, store 2442 on Monday 9/10. I was sold a box that was way too big by an older white gentleman, i believe his name was Rick. We taped the bottom of the box shut and realized it was way too big. When we asked for a smaller sized box, we were told we could not get one since we taped the box. Wouldn't the next patron tape the box? What is the big deal? Isn't that what you do with boxes? But still in an effort to make more money, we were told we could purchase a smaller box. At this point, Rick hid in the back and wouldn't come out. The older white lady in the store was watching us struggle to cut and piece the huge box together into a smaller box. Monica finally came to help us. She helped us tape it and fit it, to which the older white lady was mumbling rude remarks under her breath. I have NEVER received such horrible customer service in my life. After finally taping it up so that it could manage to be shipped, Rick thought it would be funny to hand my counterpart a job application! Maybe you guys can use a new employee once you fire Rick. You guys need to be better. This was an awful experience and never once did Rick apologize for selling us a huge box for a small product. And the older white lady was just rude. read more

It's Wednesday morning October 26... I walk in and peacefully wait behind 2 elderly people. The lady NEVER greets me upon arrival and when another customer walks in, SHE ALLOWS HIM AHEAD OF ME KNOWING I WAS THERE AHEAD OF HIM. Then I tell her I just sent my label print request to her store Via the Print app THAT UPS SUPPLIES, and she is telling me they don't use that instead of her just admitting that she doesn't know how to use it. THEN I asked her to put a little tape on my package because the adhesive wasn't too promising.... she said that THIS store charges for TAPING!!!??? Really???? Smmfh I spend at least $7000 a year shipping through UPS, I've never been charged for tape, and WOW did you not see me standing patiently and quietly waiting for 10/15 mins and you just LET the other man go in front. Didn't even speak up to excuse the man and let him go ahead of me??? Retrain her to treat all customers with the same respect. read more

I'm giving this location 2 stars mainly because of the person who appeared to be the manager. I took an irregular sized item for shipment and a very nice older woman helped me (who was clearly new and in training). The woman was very sharp and it was clear she had a lot of experience and wisdom. She had a question about the computer system and this guy, who appeared to be the manager, rolls up to help her. He was very condescending toward her and treated her as if she were a dumb teenager. The poor woman handled it in a very mature, professional manner, but I wanted to smack the guy. It was clear he either didn't have much experience managing or he was just a horrible leader. In the end they were going to charge about $50 for the packing alone and then another $100+ for the shipping. I went to Office Depot and bought the same packaging for $14 and shipped it via FedEx for $55. Wow, I spent less than half what they wanted to charge me! Anyway, I hope this young manager learns how to interact with his own employees in such a way that he doesn't make them look like idiots in front of the customers. Once again, the woman really tried to help and was very nice to me (she's the reason I didn't give them 1 star.) Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. read more
