I have never had a negative experience with a UPS store until today. They have a nice new location and yet the woman who helped me was clearly very unhappy and determined to make my Amazon returns as difficult as possible. Despite being willing to pay for help with packing she made each step painful. I wish there was another option near by. Sadly they seem to be embracing the fact that the have a corner on the market. So upsetting. I'm hoping to make all future returns at Kohls. read more

The UPS Wisconsin Rapids location "closed permanently" a few days ago. That is very disappointing. Regarding service at the new location, everyone but one gal was very polite and helpful. All of my packages had prepaid labels; however, I always wanted them to document the actual weight on the receipt, just to cover me if I was accused of the package weighing more than what the label stated. It takes 2 seconds to do that, yet she continued to be argumentative about it, so I tried to avoid her station when taking packages there. Regarding other places to take UPS packages - it looks like CVS is an approved location, as is Advance Auto Parts. And Kohl's in Stevens Point accepts Amazon returns. read more

I went in today to get paperwork notarized. At first I was greeted very nicely by the other ladies but the women who helped me get my paper notarized was very rude I honestly wanted to take my service to some place else. It seemed like she didn't want to help me out. I've worked in the public industry for 18 years and I've never been treated that way by anyone! Her name is Tricia L Hofer. Since the Staples closed in Wisconsin Rapids, I always took my small business printing to the UPS store on 8th Street (the staff were so helpful, friendly and professional). Never had a negative experience; fast forward to 2022 and their new location on Huntington. Well, all the former staff are mysteriously 'gone'. Same print project that I've had done every year for 10 years went up in price by 3x what I used to pay. When I contacted the store with documentation showing the outrageous price increase, "Tricia" blamed it on previous employee error--for 10 years?? Hmmm... I do have options and can take my printing business to Stevens Point or an online company (yes, discounted--color prints, not black and white). Shop small--shop local. And then they gouge you and blame former staff or the customer (who should inquire if they're going to add any 'additional prep' charges on to the invoice). read more
