I had a TERRIBLE experience at this store. I took in 4 boxes w 4 Waybills. I was told I "had too many boxes to return." WHAT?? I travel all over the country and I ship these boxes back via UPS all of the time. This is the FIRST time I have ever been told a stand alone UPS store can not ship my packages. I called my home office who will be making an official complaint with UPS. When I asked to speak to the mgr I was told he was the "owner?" I had to drive 30 mins to another UPS store who happily shipped my boxes w no issues. This huge delay almost caused me to miss my flight. VERY disappointed w this service. read more

Was in store today to send some urgent documents along with a prepaid label to have them returned to me after processing. Person who helped me was super efficient to explain all options and to generate the shipping information for me to send and then to get the return shipment back. They open at 8, but, the owner (or who I assumed it is the owner), opened the door about 10 minutes earlier for the folks who were waiting. He went above and beyond to help me ship something time-sensitive and was so accommodating. Said to call him anytime if there were any issues with the package getting there. This UPS Store offers what you'd expect--packaging and shipping, Amazon returns, mailbox rental, printing, etc. Now that Amazon returns have become a big draw to UPS Stores, you will sometimes find long lines when you visit them. This is especially true around holidays. Not to worry, however, this UPS Store seems to have pretty good queue management, and you're surely to get in and out quickly. One of the strengths of this particular location is the awesome staff. First off, they are friendly, which makes going into the store a pleasant experience. They are also speedy, which is definitely a plus when it comes to visiting this UPS Store location. I've visited plenty of other locations where the staff are super slow, and it can be really frustrating. I usually deal with FedEx since my job has a contract with them, but every once in a while I need to ship UPS for personal things. While it's most convenient to schedule pickups, there are a few times where I needed to physically drop off a package at UPS. Enter: the UPS store in White Plains. The few times I've been to this UPS store have been positive experiences. Service is pretty fast and I found the customer service to always be good. This most recent time I needed to ship some documents and needed specific instructions on the address label. Chris was super patient and went the extra mile to make sure everything was correct. The store isn't large which can make social distancing a challenge, but the employees work to get people out swiftly which is definitely a plus. While I would always prefer pick up services when shipping, it's nice to know this store is here. read more

i've been here a few times overall the experience prior wasn't great, it was manageable but today really did one for me. I came in with a return that has a QR code to return that specifically says drop off to UPS store no printer needed, we will print the label and we will package the return at no charge. Once I start taking out all the items, he just looks at me and says oh no you can't just give me all these items like this, you need to have a box. With a look of confusion, I tell him oh it's specifically says I don't need to do anything but drop off the items and you guys will do the rest after I said that I read the message verbatim and he said no you need to bring it packaged or you can buy a box. At this point, I'm not gonna let this annoy me anymore then it already has just grab my stuff and I tell him I'm gonna go see if I have a box in my car. Can you believe I don't have a box in my car took my stuff and left. I will go to a different store that actually follows instructions and doesn't try to charge me a couple of bucks for a box. read more

Horrible service. I used to use this UPS location all the time. If I had a prepaid package, I could just drop and go. When I entered the store this afternoon, I was told that I had to wait on line (which was 5 people long) even though it was a prepaid package. Turns out that there is a new owner and new worker who made this rule. Needless to say, I won't step foot in this place again. read more

I have never had a bad experience there. I love the people and they are super helpful. I like the people that work at another Ups store as well, But when considering the bang for your BUCK, THis particular Store is superior when it comes to value and savings. So tomorrow I need to send a very large package a brand new delicate electric guitar which is worth $1200 and a case worth about 150!! I am sending then back to the company in the original boxes. 2 medium sized boxes that fit into a one huge one. I have to be very careful when packing then - if they get damaged I will have to pay for them. They are going to pack it for me so I will be depending on them implicitly. I will write and update after i send and when I get the "all clear " from the company. Stay tuned. -- Alright. I see now what people are saying. I dealt with a guy there who was sort of a dick. The package arrived but I don't know what condition. They charged me 20 bucks to "pack" it but since they didn't really do anything it was a little expensive. i was spending whole day in white plains and needed to ship 2 boxes of clothing to florida and to be honest ups service is quicker then usps , and yes i will pay more but the packages will arrive in 2 days .been here a few times to ship some boxes , get a few printing things laminated and had a temp po box for a few months . never had any issues and the staff are quick printing labels and telling me when packages will be delivered. overall the ups store is a better option when the usps is not. read more

Today 12/07/2019 I went to drop off a package with a preprinted label on my package. The guy helping us was very rude. Horrible customer service. He said it was too faint for the guy on the truck to scan. I said ok could you print another label? I showed him on my phone and he said no. I said ok... I can reprint this at home another time. Thinking ok hes just doing his job. Then he continued on to day....He said in a rude tone making an odd gesture.... sure i can scan it but will you be in the truck with the guy scanning this??? And I was taken a back when he said that. Why would he insinuate this even if he was "joking". I had said I would take it back why continue to push this. The UPS Store model is broken. Owners of these stores are not UPS employees, they make any and all money on services. As such, trying to ask for UPS item like labels, packaging, etc. meets with either stony silence or outright hostility. I experienced the latter on 11/13/2015. At this particular location, the price quoted for shipping was a full $25.00 over the UPS-online price. Thinking this store was an anomaly, I tried another nearby UPS store and when I showed up with my pre-paid shipment I was met with a whining litany of complaints about not generating any income. I understand that...it sucks, but it's not MY problem. I made sure to get a receipt for my package. UPS purchased Mailboxes, Etc and changed the whole game for franchisees. From what I read, you can't give one of these places away. Consequently, unless you have a unique shipping requirement, these stores are not as customer-friendly as they should be...in fact it gets darn hostile. This location is very helpful when you need packing assistance -- just watch the quoted shipping price...do your homework. read more

As I'm a mailbox customer there I'm in the store on a regular basis and the owner and staff are great. As an owner of a business that has been using UPS since 1995 at another location and have shipped thousands of packages over the years I know what not only what it takes to package and ship but understand the costs involved. As I'm there almost on a daily basis I witness how they treat their walkin customers and see that they are always professional and courteous. those remarks referencing exorbitant charges for packaging or supplies, all I can say is the walkins should then package their items separately and see the costs and time involved...that's all. read more

Used them for copying and faxing services. Helpful staff who was mindful enough to tell me how long it would take to fax 25 pages. Best of all, definitely a better value & experience compared to Staples in Elmsford. I highly recommend this UPS Store over Staples - machines are in proper working condition here, staff is helpful without any attitude, copy/fax time speedier and cost much better! The owner of this store is rude and obnoxious. I'm never coming back again. I had an amazon prepaid package and the owner made a comment TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER about how he doesn't want my package because he doesn't generate enough money from it. He then proceeded to take my package but did not want to spend 30 seconds to print out a receipt. When I kindly again asked for the receipt, he said he would do it for me (as if he was doing me a favor) and asked that I stop bringing prepaid packages and come back again only to buy or ship without prepaid. read more

Tried to ship our a radio and they wanted $25 for labor to pack it up (which is about ten minutes) plus the cost of overpriced supplies, plus the cost of full blown retail UPS prices (no discount available). And they tell you that they are doing you a favor by taking your money and shipping your item. If you tell him it is too much, he says okay and moved on to the next person and ignored me. Not very nice. I ended up going to Staples and shipping it, much nicer and accommodating! The other reviews say the owner is rude and condescending. I totally agree. read more

Extraordinary customer service/kindness...I consistently chose this location for my Amazon returns, as the staff are always helpful and efficient. It's a great store. I'm writing however, to recognize the extraordinary customer service of Lavelle, whom I encountered at the end of a VERY hard day last week, in which I was managing stitches in my hand, and other challenges. I had approximately 9 returns, that had to be mailed in different ways, including using UPC codes on my phone. That day, I was the customer no one wants to be behind, as I got super disorganized and flustered. Lavelle, could not have been kinder, more patient or efficient. He helped me sort things out, pull up the codes, and move things along. He did this while expressing concern for the stitches in my hand, and generally being a lovely human being. In a time when so many customers AND employees are so stressed, he demonstrated the grace and composure that everyone needs. read more

If I could give less than a star, I would. I carried a Dyson 5 blocks to this store as a return and made it by 5:59 and they had already locked the door. As I sat outside yelling that it wasn't even 6 yet (vacuum in hand to be returned to Dyson) the a-hole wouldn't let me in. The package was prepaid, all he had to do was scan it in for pickup. I showed up five minutes before closing with a pre-paid package -- already labeled -- and the owner locked the door in my face. When I said, "I thought you were open until 4:00," he insisted that it was (no, actually, it was 3:55) and refused to take the package. He then ran to his car and sped away. Granted, I was coming in at the end of the day -- but all he would have had to have done was accept the package. No transaction needed to occur. If Michael Della Rocca is locking his doors five minutes before closing time, it means he shut down the register and everything else even earlier. Businesses these days succeed or fail on customer service. Period. Needless to say, I will never use this location. I'd rather drive an extra ten minutes to the UPS facility in Elmsford where I'm always greeted with a smile, an offer of help, and checked out quickly. read more

Used this store several times in the past two years: - Always quick to serve. I often just have packages to drop and even if they are serving someone else someone is always quick to ask "dropping off?" and quickly take the package off my hands. - Helpful with questions. I was shipping an awkward package and they helped me make sure it will arrive quickly and safely at a low cost. - Nice and smiley. Their attitude is always pleasant. Over all the store is small and modest, but the staff does an awesome job of clearing the space quickly by providing a fast and efficient service. read more

I use this UPS store regularly. I have a mailbox there where they accept packages for me. I also shop on line a lot and thus have a lot of returns and have children away at school as well. I have never had a problem. They know how to box odd shaped items which is also helpful. They are always polite and helpful. There are rarely lines or the need to wait more than 2 minutes for service. read more
