SODA FOUNTAIN! I vacation with friends often in the Hardy, Arkansas, area, and only this month was…read moretold about the Palace Drug Store luncheonette in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. It is about a 16 mile drive from Hardy. They were said to have wonderful old-fashioned milk shakes and sandwiches. It is obviously a place the locals go, as it is on Main Street, away from the state highway. I never saw a sign advertising their location. They opened the luncheonette about 6 years ago. I am so glad I went. I ordered a milk shake that was served in a stemmed glass, with the blender container given to me to enjoy every drop. I sat at the counter, but there are several tables throughout the front of the store. I ordered a tuna salad that is made in store, served on fresh baked bread, slightly grilled for a crunch, and then layered with lettuce and tomato. It was very good. Each week they have a daily luncheon special. I noticed the week's menu and saw chicken pot pie, homemade vegetable soup, mandarin chicken salad, and open-faced roast beef sandwich as some offerings. Also, on the daily menu were freshly made salads with fresh fruit, homemade chicken salad, and fountain specials. I look forward to going back every time I am in the area.

I have been dealing with Gammill Sewing Center since 2007…read more They have always been courteous and attentive to listening to issues with machines. I travel almost 500 miles to have them work on my machines after experiencing a repair shop where I live, who said they could work on Janome machines. After they worked on it locally, Gammill had to replace the entire tensioniing system. Unlike the other reviewer, if I haven't heard within a week, I call. Having been there at different times, I know how busy they can get and adjust my time with this. I have also learned to call ahead and make an appointment for them to clean and check things out.

I had a very poor experience with this establishment. Upon recommendation from my local sewing…read moreshop, I drove an hour to this place to have them fix a sewing machine I inherited from my grandma. The owner of the store was very pushy and tried to sell me some very expensive sewing machines. I humored him for a while until he started asking rude and inappropriate questions about how much money I make, at which point I told him I needed to get going. After he realized he wasn t going to sell me a new machine, he turned me over to a very inexperienced young male worker to fill out paperwork, answered the phone, and never talked to me again. The store fixed my machine, but they never bothered to call and let me know it was finished. Six weeks later I called, and they said I could pick it up. When I got there, they actually lost the box of attachments that I left with the machine. They claim that they never had this equipment, but I suspect it got lost when the younger man took my machine into the back. They said that they would call if/when it turned up, but of course they never have. I would strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere unless you need to buy a very expensive machine designed for quilting.

And 2- see if I could get assistance with our Verizon business account after spending 2+ hours on the phone with Verizon customer service with no luck. I was helped by Sean who absolutely could have shut me down on assisting me (as it's really not his problem or his department) with the billing issue we are currently having. After making it known he may not be able to help but he'd absolutely try his best to assist, he spent an obnoxious amount of time on the phone with customer service with me trying to resolve the billing issue and removing the hot spots off our account. We were successful with 1 of those 2 things which felt like a huge win seeing as the 2 hours I spent on the phone with Verizons useless customer service I couldn't even get that done. We then upgraded my phone, and the transfer took a ridiculous amount of time due to my ridiculous number of pictures I had on my phone. He was so patient, let me leave both phones there and go do what I needed to do and come back to get the new phone. The customer service here is exceptional and it's definitely the place to go and Sean is definitely the guy you want to see here!
